  1. He was referring to Vurnon Anita. He's got a Broon Ale crate for him to stand on for next season's photocall.
  2. Anything by Tudor cos I'm that much of a Geordie.
  3. It would be a good idea in the right circumstances. We are playing out another mediocre season with nothing to play for and are near a sell out 52k v Crystal Palace knowing our top two players have been sold/injured. If anything I think you're being a little pessimistic.
  4. Optimistic to fill a 60k stadium? We could fill it now for certain games, we would definitely fill it with a good side and a good mood around the club. Whether it would be worth doing is another argument especially at the minute with the owner we have.
  5. "Op, op, op, op Oppa J69 Style"
  6. When I saw the name I thought it was the actor who played 'Herman Munster' who had died. Never heard of this bloke though. (Thanks for sharing, Fish).
  7. Brochure of sale here....... http://nust.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=67d54658ed9cb445fdf9febb5&id=04b57e2a7a&e=de3c9661a9
  8. "Here! Clever cunt! Can your robot do this?"
  9. We've had a few short term contracts as well haven't we like Pancake and re-signing* Lovelyhands after he was released? *Still think Shola might come back as a free agent if we fail to get enough bodies over the line at the end of the transfer window.
  10. Cheers, Tooj, I'll bare that in mind when I'm looking for some ceramic pans.
  11. 'Sunday Supplement', man. Can't believe the aura of dignitas and gravity these glorified cockney football pub boors try to give off.
  12. I might try that Cal's own one of these days. Anyway........Has anybody on here have ceramic pans? Are they worth the bother and what would you recommend? I fancy getting some but don't want waste my money if they're shite and don't want waste money if certain makes models are worse than others. Help me out here!
  13. Give your fucking heed a shake, man!
  14. Wanker. (The politician, not you, Gemmill).
  15. Hello mate, just for clarification, is the above for charity or is it NUFC's transfer policy for next season?
  16. These 10 year deals and the likes, get out clauses or not, spoke volumes about the direction of the club. Why the need to have people on board well in advance? Why cut your revenue in doing this? Why no room for manoeuvre if we get a good side and they want to get more ticket money in? Why would a potential buyer want to buy the club when the current owner has already tied down a majority of your support to cheaper deals for the next 5-10 years? It's all about managing mediocrity IMHO, it's a bribe to the support to keep at it and accept mediocrity, make the stadium packed to the rafters and also so they the owner can point to the decreased ticket money and say his hands are tied for buying players/paying wages.
  17. They seem pretty keen on a full stadium and seem ok with knocking down the prices to accommodate this even though this could have/is having a detrimental effect on the pathetic revenue streams the club has enjoyed under our owner.
  18. A fan who will go EVERY game regardless I can understand, (although being tied in for five years with no get out clause makes me wonder if the fan would consider himself recession proof or whether the fan would still go if we re-named the club Newcastle Sportsdirect and played in red white and blue?) Anyone else, though?
  19. There's a sad case lives around the Wallsend area, I've must've seen this bloke around the doors at least dozens of times. He's in his forties and doesn't look the most polished up man I've ever seen, in fact he looks like a slight upgrade on a Harry Bamp, anyway, Mr Sadsack is a Man U fan, how do I know? Because I've never ever, ever seen him without some sort of Man U gear on, whether it's a scruffy 'white' away shirt with '19-champions' on the back or a big coat with their crest on and Man U hat in the Winter. Anyway, the point of all this is that I was driving past the Lindisfarne club and I saw Mr Man U for the first time in a few months but for the first time ever, I couldn't spot one bit of Man U tat on his person. What a fucking Goon.
  20. Why in this day and age people are still persisting with ST's is beyond me especially with our owner in charge of things and his propensity to piss us all off. Even if you don't want to jack it in completely in protest you can always vote with your feet and send him and the outside world a message. It's easier to not go to a game if you haven't already paid up front. Ask yourself why these deals are in place and why they keep getting better/cheaper? Why is the club now desperate to tie you in to an even cheaper deal where you can't back out? If people payed on the gate or bought tickets on a game by game basis they might find their hand is strengthened at least a bit more than it already is. (For every expensive derby ticket price there's cheap one off prices v Swansea etc).
  21. Same old Tories, sorting out Labour's mess, or something.
