  1. Don't worry, penfold's on the case. He'll get us the best pound-for-pound young prospect he can to play with the other best pound-for-pound young prospects and other misfits signed with clauses. What can go wrong?
  2. Real jammy goal against the run of play but after Bournemouth we'd have a cheek to moan. Palace's final ball and touches has been woeful. Pardew doesn't like taking the game to other teams. Allardyce getting praise now when they've done fuck all really but pounce on a real fuck up by the palace kid. Real combination of being solid and palace having zero guile. I'd say it bodes well for our game down there but you can read the script now.
  3. Crystal Palace v Sunderland. Absolute shite so far, allardyce blatantly came for the point, pardew's team no clue when they've got the onus on them and most of the possession.
  4. Just going to pour a glass of the very same thing right now. For the Wife.
  5. What about the mess you leave for your lass? Must be murder clearing up after your culinary concoctions?
  6. Absolutely nothing CT says in politics. Oh! Sorry! I thought this was the 'What have you not bought?' thread.
  7. I'd be staggered if McClaren was on anywhere near £2M a year. (Unless that figure included heavy incentives which are unlikely to be triggered).
  8. Fuck sake, have they not suffered enough?
  9. Heard a comment from the spurs game about 'not forgetting the great work started by Tim Sherwood'. I've no idea what he's got on so many of the media, but it must be fucking yewtree level stuff.
  10. If Ashley gave even a 1/4 of a fuck he'd have Charnley out of the door after appointing someone capable if running a premier league club. As for Carr, even with the club's strict limitations on player purchases and profiles, let's be honest, some have been fucking gash. Moncur should be left back in the corporate section talking about balmy nights in Budapest to the prawn sarnie mob. As ever (in)actions speak louder than words.
  11. Trouble is we have no concept of building a team with all the right components which includes leadership and experience. It's embarrassing watching us and the frightening thing is I just can't see much of a change unless penfold and Carr change their recruitment ethos.
  12. We've never been in the third tier, Stevie. I'll put that down to a typo. I remember those games well especially the two 5-4 games as I was at both, I also recall them beating us up here 4-1 which was a bit of a shock to me as a kid as I thought they were shite, (didn't realise Lineker and Smith would have good careers at the time).
  13. I feel a bit like seti tonight on here. Trying in vain to get some kind of intelligent response from somewhere.
  14. Wonder if our owner would've hired someone like charnley at any of his other businesses and whether he'd still be in a job had he been as shite as penfold has been in his current job?
  15. Hank, the brother in law is a great character and plays a big part in the story. Stick with it, it's worth the odd slow episode.
  16. Two pieces by the Knight today both about John Carver and his thoughts about the toon from his appearance on motd extra. Cheers, Lee, I'd completely forgotten what I'd heard a few hours ago.
  17. He should drink in The County on Walker road then he really could be the coward of the county.
  18. Had a politically charged conversation with an asian taxi driver tonight. What'll I'll say is that they they seem to know what's going on on far more than any CT, like character on here.
  19. My missus does as well. (Think the last time I remember her listening to it was around 1999*). *Which by an amazing coincidence was the same number of calorie intake from CT's last pub meal.
  20. Of course they wouldn't. This is getting like a game of 'compare the atrocity'. Both acts are appalling in my view, the absolute deliberate murder of civilians by terrorists, or put more simply, murderers, shouldn't let off the hook countries who think it's ok to just 'take out' suspected targets and hard lines to any fucker that happens to be around who are innocent civilians. Like you say, see if they would bomb a western building if they thought some target was in there. Of course, you have to factor in the bollocks getting dropped which probably match the bombs.
