Newcastle United v Aston Villa (19/12/15 17:30 ko Sky)
Howmanheyman replied to Haydnator's topic in Newcastle Forum
Colo's spouting off about this and that how we're a changed team and no longer fear going behind and heads don't drop anymore, that this is the real Newcastle United etc. This is what worries me about Saturday v these lot. I'm as worried about our players mentality than I am of their players. (Let's be honest, if they're not at it for this game then there's something seriously fucked up with their players, really is last chance saloon for them). -
Which transfer was the most disappointing?

Andreas Anderson as well. He signed Hamann as well who had a good season before fucking off to Liverpool. I thInk Speed and Given's best football was undoubtedly under Sir Bobby which doesn't help Dalglish's cause. -

Dalglish signed Speed, Given and Solano. They didn't turn out so bad. -

Robertson was a goal machine at Hearts when they had a side who were decent for the Scottish leagues, plus there were loads of Scots, Irish and Welsh in the football leagues who were good players so I just assumed he'd be the dogs bollocks when he signed in my teenage Haydonator enthusiasm. That was a disappointment which was made even worse when we got relegated that season. Aye, a tidy player no doubt but just lacked the pace and drive we were enjoying with the likes of Dyer and Bellamy playing off Shearer and Speed and Robert breaking quickly as well. Viana just wasn't up to the tempo as much as we all wanted him to be. -

Most disappointing transfer has to be essembee from RTG to here. -

I'll be ready to laugh at their probable relegation if/when we're safe from joining them. -
Didn't think she was as old. RIP

I reckon DK's attended as many football matches as essembee's attended hospital appointments. -
Need something like that for our national anthem to be honest.
-
Essembee is my second favourite poster. The trouble is, CT is my favourite.

I'll be getting an extension in my next house if all goes well with the sale/purchase. Expect a few CT-esque questions early next year.

We've a good record v these, we've won two hard games, confidence will be high, they're in a worse state than every PL club.......draw at best. -
The lack of good songs is because top chanters like me don't go anymore. It's a tough act to follow for the young'uns.

Apparently not. An absolute affront to real legends like Squeaky to be mentioned in the breath as your Shearers, Ferdinands and Ginolas. Reminds of Man U fans bullshitting about the likes of babyface Solskjaer and David May having medals so being able have something to show their kids etc where others can't. Don't get me wrong, it must be great but absolutely no fucker is going to look back at David May and drool over him regardless of his medals. -
100% nailed on that the majority were even more pissed off at the final whistle of our game than theirs on satda.

Two CL finals not long before, though and they won it one of the times plus a UEFA cup win. But Squeaky voices team always falls behind the great Liverpool sides. He'll have to wait until he's in his sixties and some of the older Liverpool supporters have died off before getting his true credit he wants. We'll still revere KK's team, though, now and in the future. Anyway, fuck him. -
Great reading their match thread on us. We just couldn't ever hope to match their meltdowns if they won away against the odds.

All the best, gemm.

Not the first time he's come out with this shite. I think the first time he came across a bit bitter that the Liverpool teams revered aren't the ones he played in despite winning a cup or two, where as when you talk about the 'great' Newcastle United sides of recent memory then it can only be Keegan's side who never won the cups Carragher team did. We've won fuck all in my lifetime but that side and those times were amazing especially contrasting with the state of the club preceding Keegan's turnaround. I think the squeaky voiced, square jawed twat needs to keep his nose out of a club he knows fuck all about. -

The game was crying out for Perez to come on for the ineffectual De Jong, Cisse struggles playing alone but to fair, didn't get the lickings of a dog from our players. Gini is wasted out wide and the game passes him by, Sissoko was again a bit frustrating until the substitutions. Was great watching in the club and seeing everyone go apeshit when the goals go in, (including me spilling my pint for the umpteenth time celebrating a NUFC goal). Fantastic turnaround and I'll had to wait for MOTD to come on the iPlayer as I was fucking blotto last night and missed it.
