  1. I was at one of his and arsenal's old Tyneside haunts last night at the hotel du vin. Apparently Arsene had evening strolls and was very friendly and jovial with the local population but that was him walking along to the quayside. I'd have loved him to have walked up byker bank and ended up at the butcher's arms or something.
  2. We stayed at the Kolbe hotel, was a decent deal at the time and a good hotel, pretty handy if you want to be in the historic area.
  3. There now follows a political party broadcast by Ray Winstone to the Conservative party....
  4. Ah well. All good things come to an end, the laughing stops now that the rise of the new invincibles is about to occur and right on our doorstep as well. There'll be a new six-in-a-row soon enough when the new bloke gets his feet under the table. It was good while it lasted. [Sad face emoji here]
  5. Also add the ice cream is superb.
  6. I went to the coliseum with the bairn but it was that hot and we were both still knackered that not even halfway through we bailed out because she wasn't going to make it. The food was tremendous everywhere we went, I'd say you're definitely better not going when it's scorchio. We got to see very little really because it's hard to get around in a wheelchair, (originally was going to be just me and the youngest going for a a few days but the wife got jealous looking so I told not to be daft and just come along). Trevi fountain is lovely and probably even better if it's not chocka, didn't get inside the Pantheon but was still impressive and the whole place is dripping with monuments and views but what took my breath away was the sheer scale of some of the stuff. We were just around the corner from the site of the circus maximus so under the hill of the Palatine which made it seem even bigger looking up. I'd love to go back but fear it's just not properly accessible enough. Also the heat plus pushing a wheelchair up and down the hills. I was absolutely fucked!
  7. That time we were after Francis Jeffers from Everton but lost our and got Bellamy instead, this seems a bit like getting Jeffers. In seriousness, if he stays fit I'd have confidence in this version of NUFC getting it right with bringing in DCL. I get the feeling he might be a bit of a confidence player and coming here after the toxicity of Goodison these last few years might see him be an absolute bargain as it could be a huge breath of fresh air, see A. Gordon who looked full of fight there with potential but not what he has become here. Disappointing that we could be letting a diamond away when it's in our hands but he could end up being this decades Andy Carroll, you just don't know? I'm guessing the club have worked it out better than us.
  8. Matterface is the natural successor to Martin Tyler. (That's not a compliment).
  9. Nobody: ITV sport: "I know, let's get league one Sheffield Wednesday's relatively unknown German manager on as a pundit."
  10. Those jammy cameramen at international tournaments always manage to find a hinny when they're just casually filming the crowd. It's uncanny.
  11. I got to Roker Park four times. Where was this martial mackem attitude then?
  12. What are they playing? Doesn't sound like 633 squadron to me?
  13. Now I know how Andy's old toys felt at Christmas. Even boldon man has abandoned them.
  14. I'm glad they didn't forget the FTM there. [Mops brow]
  15. Best to avoid it especially if the MiL is a milf? That lad in the mobility scooter hunts them down like a lion chasing down buffalo in the Serengeti.
  16. This video's like a comedy sketch with the punchline absolutely happening around 2.50. into it. (These cunts have gave us Tory government after Tory government, can we not just saw off the middle part of England downwards?)
  17. I blame the media, you barely see the greens or any other 'minor' party but farage has a season ticket on QT and all the rest.
  18. In Soviet Russia, this is preferable to listening to fish's podcast.
  19. Regis Le Bris.... "Ey'll fit right in, marra! Welcome to 'breaking bad'. FTM."
  20. "It'll be alright, I've heard we're getting some top continental coach from France, probably taught the likes of M'bappe at Blewmfontain. Beyts any nobody from Bournemouth."
  21. Robson persisted with Hately for too long when playing Beardsley was the correct option. Took him one game in to realise his error.
  22. No it's the London NE correspondent for the telegraph. He likes to dance on twitter and argue with Newcastle fans.
