Fair play to Sky's Sunday morning show featuring Miggy D for managing to talk about Arsenal's defeat yesterday only in the context of the title race completely omitting any discussion of yesterday's actual game and the team who beat them. Outstanding coverage yet again from sky, I don't know how they pull it off?

Getting away from the perma-comical MLF take on EVERYTHING I've thought for a long time about the remembrance fetishism. There was a pitch side bugler at arsenal last week and I'm thinking it's October? If it was remembrance weekend fair enough but when you're calculating when the last home game will be before RD and going back a fortnight to get your military personnel on the pitch are you overdoing it? Lest we forget? You can't forget something you've never witnessed. It needs scaling down a bit in my eyes and the original point of RD and the people who lost fathers, uncles, sons etc is now being a bit hijacked by the usual bull's clems.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Sky's attitude and the attitude of certain journalists on Manchester United is just berserk when you see how they go on with most other clubs. You have a lass called Melissa, their chief reporter, whose knickers are saturated just talking pitchside at Old Trafford about how efficient they've been and what amazing piece of business they've done getting rid of ETH and getting this new bloke, she was even at OT midweek and the atmosphere was superb. Our Man U supporting mate Miggy Delaney in the studio looking the most enthusiastic I've ever seen him. Their headlines for the beginning of their show was the Man U manager situation, Liverpool coming from behind to win in their title charge and lastly Man City getting beat. It's all good on sky this morning. -

Film/moving picture show you most recently watched

I watched ten minutes before anything exploded and turned it off, not in the mood for apocalypse tbh. (It had 'Rita, Sue and Bob too' vibes at this point). -
I would be tempted to pitch a sit com about a hapless local sports reporter but my Pater didn't go to Cambridge with the head of the BBC comedy department.

I'm informed nobody came to our door, they never do, there's no bairns in the street*. I still get some fredos just in case the odd one turns up which we'll just have to eat instead. *The Jimmy Savile/Gary Glitter/Fred West posters I put on the door probably helps as well.

Are you sure 'bludgeon' wasn't an order and not the dog's name, TP?

Well that's one boat that's been stopped so there's a little consolation for them.
