  1. The weight of CT's expectations have dragged him down.
  2. Why did he have a shit time? Why did he only start 13 times? Why did we get him on loan? Why start a player with that recent past history in our position?
  3. Fish first stated we'd stay up when it was highly unlikely we'd go down. When he first stated it, even in the middle of the biggest post match moan-ins, you'd never have really expected Carver's run to be quite as hideous as it was.
  4. Mitrovic and Perez at least have some experience. This doumbia 'kid' smacks of a Chucky type desperation signing. He's done fuck all in serie a where contrary to years gone by, it's easier to score over there than here.
  5. Is that the Thai prozzie you shagged in Bangkok, Stevie?
  6. Whatever floats your boat but this IS a rugby thread, don't forget.
  7. Can't stand glory hunting tossers nor sycophantic media/ex-players giving a platform to drone on about Liverpool football club*, (never just Liverpool), that aside, the general home based support don't bother me at all, (there's far worse around the country). *Same media who can't be arsed to utter one extra word, (united) to our name give the full club title to the Mersey reds no fucking question asked.
  8. Going away to a vibrant team with 3/4's of our preferred back 4 missing and one of the back four not even a defender? Nailed on defeat, I just hope Rafa gets to organise a fitter team next week and beyond. Was at ewood for KK's first away game at promotion chasing Blackburn when we came back down to earth with a bump. Regardless, though, at least a few of them should be awakened from their sleepwalking performances.
  9. I think fans now are obviously better behaved yet are more 'knobbish' for want of a better word. Some of our away support have the 'Chelsea Cockney wanker' attitude about them which isn't what we used to be about despite some bad behaviour in the past.
  10. I've seen our lot break fences down to get into games. Blundell Park stands out. (Posh away as well IIRC).
  11. Because he's a 'United' legend and we need to hear what he thinks so we can hear another perspective from the other 'united' legends, not to mention the ex-liverpool lot.
  12. Looks like he's had a big feed washed down with some blooter for his 'working lunch' at the Kohinoor before realising he still had the video blog to do. At the beginning you can see it 'coming up' on him.
  13. Carr will still recommend and scout, Charnley will still order stationary, Bob will still concur like the company man he's always been. In the long run Rafa is bound to fuck off even if he keeps us up. Nine years of this mob gives me zero trust in anything they do or say nor gives me no real belief in their real motives. Love to be proved wrong but you can't make as many 'mistakes' without it being a deliberate policy. Every year the acknowledge mistakes then do the same thing. Fucking monumental stupidity letting Carver have the job, even worse was chasing McClaren all that time and persisting with him till now. They thought they knew best the arrogant cunts despite all evidence to the contrary. As pleased as I am Rafa is here, I'm just a bit gutted it could be too little, too late. I wanted Rafa here as far back as his Valencia days but we got fucking bluffer souness instead. (Yes I know that wasn't down to Ashley). I'm praying he keeps us up and put's these fuckers promises to the test.
  14. Aye, tell me about it. When I was ten, I applied for the West end all Muslim school. Apparently it was between my Protestant self, Asif, Mohammed and Rashif who would be miss out. I thought Asif would be nailed on to miss the cut so imagine my surprise when they left me out!
  15. Penfold: "Welcome to Newcastle, Rafa!" Rafa: "Thank you. Would it be possible to have another cup of tea and one of those biscuits before I meet the club chief executive, Lee Charnley?" Penfold: "I'm Lee Charnley, Rafa." Rafa: "I do not understand. You are not in charge of refreshments, no?"
  16. Relegation has been downgraded from FishCon5 to FishCon4.
  17. Blatantly hired an imposing actor to play Lee Charnley with an acting brief to 'give the fackin dagoe whatever he wants. But try and start low. Just dahnt fack it up!'
  18. Hopefully if we stay up we'll get to build an actual team rather than build up a portfolio of random players to be sold for profit with no regard to team needs. Wouldn't be surprised to see Rafa taking the Keegan route of a consructive dismissal at some point next year, though.
  19. Was going to say co-commentators as a whole but they were creeping in before the PL. That said, sky made a big thing of Gray being the main man next to Tyler which probably helped cement it, so fuck it. Let's add that as well.
  20. There's a lot of 'brand' building going on with certain media happy to play along as partners as it's win-win in their eyes. Toon army is also a shit branding if you ask me. Just appeared in 1992, can only remember a few chanting it and the media latched onto it.
  21. Personally think Ashley is getting a fairly easy ride out of this. If I left my kids to look after the house, bills, running etc and they made an arse of it I'd be more to blame than the kids. Ashley is deliberately keeping out of the way and letting the skeleton organisation he's made NUFC become, get all the flak. Charnley shouldn't be anywhere near his job, nor should the other over promoted goons. All of this situation has been ultimately created by Ashley. If he went tomorrow, the rest would be peddled in quick time by a properly invested owner.
  22. Heard Brazil in the car say1.Hoddle (even pointed out he's a great manager despite being a cockney). 2. 'Arry 3. Warnock. (Reckons Moyes would do a good job 'eventually' but would not have an initial impact before adding that he doesn't really know him, personally).
  23. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Ashley is deliberately keeping quiet, loving McClaren sweating on his job and knowing Charnley is also sweating on what to do next and enjoying seeing his dogsbody squirm.
  24. He was only a bit part coach here for a short while and I couldn't stand the cunt, then.
