Modern football is utterly shit off the pitch. Has been for years and is getting worse.

Pay is decent, hours are good for shifts, this is the third week, I'll stay till something else comes up or they get serious with what job I'm doing, make me permanent and I'll stop for good. Had an interview elsewhere yesterday morning before my shift, similar hours but better, similar pay, probably more hands on job, not ideally what I want but permanent with decent T&C's.

Hold the congratulations, it's only temporary. And mind numbing, piss easy, but mind numbing.

Without wanting to get people's hopes up....... I'm at work tomorrow night.

Even good sides with really good players who've played above themselves can't always keep it going with limited refreshments to the squad. Eddie had an insane run from the second half of the takeover season and kept it up throughout the following season with a few upgrades and everyone pulling out every bit of effort going from themselves. Sometimes, like Mourinho was accused of, players can't keep it going for more than a couple of years. Also, as we've all said, Wilson being the missing man has been a big minus for Isak as real competition for strikers is not only good for the club but keeps their own game at a higher level. Trips is older, Burn is older, Schar is older, miggy has never, bar one purple patch been a scorer, Barnes is a fabulous striker of the ball but a bit lightweight in other areas, Botman is a huge miss and he doesn't seem to know what to do about his midfield. Sandro should be up to fitness where he doesn't have to come off every game after an hour, big Joe and Bruno are certainly not infallible so maybe bench and of the boys from Brazil if a little kick up the arse is required to concentrate minds? We could've got a draw today despite being shit, we also should've had six points from the two previous games but only managed one, it's strange. I'd be seriously tempted to put Isak on the right when Wilson is fit for some games, or just give Isak a rest altogether.

Tbf, it's not exactly Italian of old defending but at least you're guaranteed goals.
