  1. Watched it yesterday and like Tooj thought the tension and cinematography were excellent. I thought it was largely good but it didn't convey the numbers involved at times. Anyway, overall very good and definitely nothing like films based on US battles/soldiers.
  2. Don't wear it much unless I'm going out and even then probably less than half the time. Still like it though.
  3. I'm currently reading, 'Sapiens, a brief history of humankind' by Yuval Noah Harari. Been a very interesting read so far. Basically homo sapiens have wiped out everything from the get go and would've been a lot happier being hunter gatherers. (It's a lot better than that summary tbh).
  4. The oldest wanted us to call her new sister that because she was Disney princess daft. She'd tell Grannies cooing at her sister in the pram her name was 'Briar Rose'. Sometimes we wouldn't bother correcting her just to see the looks on the Grannies faces.
  5. Ah! Arathorn's young'un. How's Arathorn these days?
  6. Discover? My Mam used to watch it. It was about a women being an crime detective/author using the pen name Remington Steele and Brosnan pretending to be Steele. It was as shit as it sounds tbh.
  7. Honestly wasn't sure if someone had tried to take a pic of him on the sly and he'd noticed them doing it but then I realised who we're talking about here.
  8. Either way, who the fuck would have a photo took of them like this?
  9. I preferred Taylor and Bestys take on it.
  10. Ben Elton: "little bit of sectarianism there from the papist boys." (Obviously )
  11. I'm pulling your plonker, man. It's good you've got a hobby/interest.
  12. It isn't. It has its moments and you think it's showing promise which is why I stuck with it to the end but it was a damp squid* ending to be kind to it. If that was the book then the TV series can get fucked. *Nod to CT, there.
  13. Well, there was a Sabrina, singer of 'boys, boys, boys' lookalike and I was stranded, lying on a beach, belly down, with a pair of speedo type swimming trunks, digging a hole in the sand with no hands while 'Sabrina' and her mate chucked a beach ball around with her bikini top off. You didn't get that in Donaghadee.
  14. 12 and nearly 15. Waaay too old for that stuff now. (15 year old is a proper OMG! teenager tbh).
  15. We loved it, but then again, we didn't know any better till we got took to Italy by my grandparents when I was 14. I was a bit like Eddie Murphy in Trading Places for two weeks.
  16. Think my youngest daughter wouldn't be arsed anymore, the eldest would give you a Medusa stare if you even suggested it.
  17. Donaghadee. Days out in a car, (we never had one) with relatives to places like Bangor, Abbycentre, Crawfordsburn and Donaghadee were my childhood 'holidays'. Who needed Spain when we had all the fun of Bangor a ferry trip away?
  18. That's three of us. They need to give it a rest tbh. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't actually watch them, it's more the long winded posts by 'Kermode' Fish in this thread that needs calming down a bit where superhero films are concerned.
  19. Friendlies are fucking garbage to watch yet I've been looking around to find it as you do.
  20. Named after Tebbitt, Hague, Thatcher and Heseltine?
