  1. I honestly seen someone mention they'd be happy with what we've got plus the new lads. Have we signed any 1st team squad players, Other than renewing contracts? (Charnley's fave bit of business).
  2. Wilson to wear the number 9, Joelinton taking the number 7. (He's nee Keegan or Rob Lee either!)
  3. Never had it in the first place.
  4. (Searches for Jayna Oso at end of post.....)
  5. "Ok guys, last thing on the agenda.....'Newcastle Natter' or 'NUFC Patter'?" "Well any self respecting Geordie would probably go for 'patter' over 'natter' I'd argue?" Great! So we're agreed then? 'Newcastle Natter' it is!"
  6. Could've been worse, you could've wasted your life.
  7. Plays into the red wall propaganda so another reason the daft little cunt will be posing in it.
  8. There's not a fanbase on the earth that won't have a few plums following them, (and I'm guessing there'll be fans of other clubs who've been to more Newcastle United games than he has, the little payed up, useful idiot-twat).
  9. Getting a bit of a vibe the new style football fan, (official with ticket), didn't like having to mix with the old style fan, (unofficial, no tickets) and it spoiled their day out. This isn't condoning those that barged in or made tits of themselves outside at all but shit like this has happened at football games for years and nobody would've gave a fuck but obviously when some of those commenting who were at the game as fans not journalists etc see it there's nowt the matter. It would be nice if after this reportage he does a bit on how they dish the tickets out because it really doesn't help the situation when you see the likes of Julia Hartley Brewer getting a seat in the semi final and others after slaughtering the players but jumping on the bandwagon. Again, that's not letting the fans off the hook but it smacks a bit of a final where carefully selected people are invited/have means of ensuring they get in but the hoi poloi should know their place and not be near the ground drinking and singing and generally ruining it for the selected few who are going. Shit like this has happened for years but England getting to a final hasn't.
  10. Sounds like a plan! Doesn't bother me that much as I just ignore them as much as I can get away with.
  11. We got soaked after the game at Wembley but I've no recollection whatsoever of getting back?
  12. Aye, TLDR Gemmill but at least it's off your chest now. You'll feel a lot better for sharing it.
  13. Well there's two hours of your life you're getting back every day as well as travel costs so that would be a win. My travel time is just 40-50 mins combined on average but that's because it isn't peak traffic times, however, 12 hour shifts mean your time between shifts are precious and every minute counts as I've got to fit food, showers and sleep into what I'm left with.
  14. Apathy can't help but kick in under Ashley and I try to shrug off defeats now probably better than I used to but it's still my team and pisses me off like England couldn't after a defeat. I will say, I far prefer watching international tournaments than the premier League by a mile. I just don't get emotionally invested in it, the Italy Belgium game was a joy to watch as was the Italy Spain game.
  15. It must surely depend on your job/colleagues whether you'd prefer to work from home and obviously how much of a fuck on your commute was? The rate used to be much better, got voted down to today's rate in a pay negotiation which I definitely didn't vote for even though I wouldn't have benefited from it had it gone my way. Was always double time after 12 on a Saturday, time and a half before that and double time plus a lieu day for a bank holiday at my old job so that's the metric I've held on to, rightly or wrongly.
  16. I didn't get the app but I'm starting to reconsider for this reason.
  17. Our rates are x1.33 or x1.5 on a Sunday or bank holiday. If you're desperate your desperate or if you've known no different I can understand but I wouldn't give up my own time for that rate. This has actually reminded me of CT once railing against the idea of shift allowances in the workplace which gave me a laugh at the time.
  18. Totally. As Gemmill says, what's the point of Newcastle United these days? Well the point is, I still support them and at times apathy does kick in but they're still my club. I won't go anymore but I'll still watch them and will go back if he fucks off. England could score a winner in the final and it wouldn't be in the top 100 moments I've went 'radge' at a goal being scored. I'd be happy, I'd shout get in etc but it can never compare because ultimately it's who I am and it's the people you share it with. England can never give me that and never will although they can usually give me a government I didn't vote for. Politics and football shouldn't really mix but it just does and always has.
  19. We've had a call for people to stick overtime requests in as there's been a few off but I don't think the football has helped as well as the isolation cases. I wouldn't do overtime out of principle seeing as I've seen overtime rates go down from what they used to be across the industry and I've too much on my plate as it is. (They rarely bother asking me to be fair but every time we get a new manager it doesn't take him long to get the message).
  20. Watching England is probably my glimpse into the mind of a glory hunting fan of the usual suspects. It's nice when you're winning but lacks the intensity of a late winner for your club but on the bright side it's dead easy to brush off when England get beat helped, as Alex says, by a certain section of the England fan base as well as the tabloids.
