We've got some decent journalists but they've a habit of getting down with the cool kids, there was one Caulkin interviewed for one of his pieces who'd only started going around Rafa's time and had quite a few twitter followers on account of being a looker, never seen her for ages now but it was enough for George. (Vast majority of this board could've gave George a better view). Anyway, same faces get invited as reps of NUFC fans, some are fine and I've no real problem with them but even the decent ones are only giving their own POV and it's the only voices you hear. (Some are knackers as well, mind). The media platforming them are a bit lazy plus it's a bit of a pals act with others. I'm rambling a bit but I'm sick of seeing/hearing the same faces/voices being the voice of NUFC fans, basically. I don't know how much traffic TT gets but any journalist wanting NUFC opinions and who wants fans with not only a knowledge of NUFC but also people who aren't divs would do well to reach out but other than the fish we aren't podcast/YouTubers. (Obviously if they did enquire on opinions we'd temporarily ban CT).

I downloaded it, might listen on the flight home tomorrow if wor lass will stop interrupting me half way through like she did after I decided to listen to some music after three hours of the flight here while she was talking to the bairn until I put the earpods in when I suddenly got twenty questions.

He doesn't bother me at all as a commentator tbh. He's obviously for NUFC, (as he should be for someone connected with the club for forty years), but he doesn't sugar coat it either. He's been around as a player and seen NUFC stuff and characters through the years it's a good listen when he gets going. I don't listen to the BBC Newcastle talk in that much as that really is shite.

I watched a YouTube one with Gallowgate shots with John Anderson and although it was canny, the amount of times they don't pick up on stuff, expand on answers and what have you is frustrating when listening. This kid basically ignored the promotion season of 83-84 as if it didn't happen and didn't mention any of the games, bar Liverpool in the cup. I honestly wanted to transport myself into that conversation, say to Anderson, 'Two seconds, John' before slapping the kid on either cheek, telling him to stand in the corner and watch how you actually talk, listen and ask the right questions. They might as well just not bother having anyone on who played before they were watching NUFC. Stick to James Perch or whatever. /2nd rant over

Under 30s can have that, under 40s on twitter are fucking masters at the 'our fans are so embarrassing' schtick by putting some made up shite take and attributing it to sizeable amounts of NUFC supporters but obviously they're the cool kids who don't buy it and reject the made up tale and shake their heads in despair. Absolute fucking attention seeking dickheads. /Rant over.
