Newcastle United: Club Sold To PCP - Official

Only saw the nufc bit. -
Mind blowing level of delusion if it's Kevin Ball they're referring to? It's like us saying Kevin Brock would've played for England if he was playing for a top side but with the difference being that at least Brock was a decent footballer, albeit lightweight. (That was why he was playing in the second division with us and not Liverpool alongside Barnes, Beardsley, Houghton and Rush etc).

6/1 on a club that hasn't won anything since 1969? Really generous odds that, mind.

If we can be in, or close to being in the CL spots then we'll just take the going rate for sponsorship for clubs in that bracket.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Not that I don't like laughing at villa but that's virtually their old crest, isn't it? -
What's even worse for gemmill, apart from missing the match, is his mam is making him wear a big coat despite him persistently telling her he's not cold and if he wears it he'll be sweating and everything!

Some of their fans on twitter are beyond a fucking joke, if you listen to them we merely have to turn up just to win and we'll absolutely murder them. I'd hate to see them having to have put with the shit we have over the last decade and a half. Patently glory hunting wankers and the foreign ones are the worst. I'll be over the moon with a win as, contrary to their glory fans, they're not totally shite and have some quality in their squad. I'm guessing they weren't around in the Stamford bridge concrete bowl days when they were actually not very good.

They're absolutely desperate and it makes me laugh. Carry on, marras.

Now and then, very rare I listen to the whole matchday commentary on the radio but I sometimes catch the club's highlights with BBC Newcastle's commentary on it. Mick Zico martin used to do co-commentary as well so if I was Shay Given I'd be putting my CV in when Anderson knocks it on the head as you obviously need to be Irish.

I saw a bit of it and Neville saying he didn't know if we could spend anymore then going to a young lass who was the Newcastle fan and used to be on with Wraith who couldn't illuminate him any further. It was hosted by the arsenal TV bloke so all in all a waste of time. -
We have a great opportunity to put nine points between us and Chelsea on Saturday, we're in 3rd spot ahead of where we want to be and one or two players need a break and others need some minutes. If Murphy can start our league games then Shelvey can come in for this. I'd rather this year grasp any opportunities to finish as high as possible with a unique WC situation and no Europe to bolster our turnaround times in between games and help our recruitment chances and enhance our imminent sponsor deals. Can you imagine anyone bemoaning a sponsorship deal if we finished in a CL spot or close to it? We'd just point to the clubs in a similar part of the league table as ourselves and say if it's good enough for them etc. The cups can roll in when we've a squad good enough to rotate in these early rounds and get through comfortably. If we were in 8th I'd be putting out a better team injuries permitting but this really is the time to look at the bigger picture.

Get it from DH gate for half that price, that's all they're doing and selling it for double.

Christmas club money gone circa 1987.

It's all about the honey, mummy.

I once found out, not too long ago, that the yanks nickname for a tache was 'Stache'. (And the glaikey cunts thought our version was weird!)

If I ever bumped into Bill Nighy I'd sing 'shit Leslie Phillips, you're just a shit Leslie Phillips, shit Leslie phillllliiiiips, you're just a shit Leslie Phillips."

Isn't that who the fish modelled himself on? RIP old boy.

'The Fall Guy' and the best thing about it.

Think I saw a financial review of Short having spunked a quarter of a billion on their club from taking over to selling them and paying off the external debts which started accruing again the next month as they had more going out than in.

Goodison in the 80s was my first away game. I was at this too, despite being third and in with a chance of winning it on the last day out away record was poor, the odd time we won I missed it and I missed the port vale away win just before this one so was convinced Steve Bull would pick up where he left off from NYD. This'll always be most remembered by me for the Dillon miss.

Ah, that Gareth. 👍
