They're worth whatever another club is willing to pay. Has any club payed £10m+ for one of their players lately? I don't recall that happening so I'd suggest, in a shock turn of events, they're talking their usual demented shite?

Sky must fancy this spurs v man city clash as a VIP game as they've got Neville and Carragher commentating.

Last five games averages us out around 63-64 points.

He was down by the gallowgate end on the Milburn side walking back with not a player near him whilst everyone was in the leazes half and you're looking at him and he's either fucked and it's just too much for him or he's just lazy, I'd say the former as even our engines must be feeling the strain with the effort they've put in for over 12 months and I'd imagine our match fit now is harder to get to than under a previous manager's match fit so maybe a run of games would help but as has been said, I just don't see it happening as he's not built for our current set up in my opinion. He was genuinely needed when were all over the shop but those days are gone. Part of me feels a bit sorry for him as I think there's fuck all he can do about it which must be frustrating for him but he's getting well paid and will get a move to another club to be their main man so he'll get over it in the long run. We, however, can't risk giving him a run on the off chance he'll come around to our style.

My daughter could see it straight away with ASM so she's obviously a chip off the old block. There's a saying that no player ever DOESN'T try and I think ASM doesn't consciously go out to have a stinker but the lad just isn't built for this side, we've some outstanding talent but the sum is greater than the parts and that's because we are drilled with a plan and everyone grafts their cocks off, maxi just can't do it. But it wasn't just him that had a wobble, however it stood out a mile, my biggest worry was the protection he wouldn't give burn and the amount of times someone else was backing BDB up rather than ASM spoke volumes and also dragged a player away from his position. One of the plusses was Gordon and you can see straight away why we've bought him, he's tailor made for this team, such a shame Wilson didn't put that through ball away in the second half. Always thought today was a banana skin as they're far better than their position indicates and it was a case of being after the lord mayor's show but us taken the lead should've put paid to that. Disappointing result and long term we need a LB as much as I love BDB. ASM never starts again especially ATM when teams are more prepared against us.

Dyche has definitely blocked the odd toilet in his time. Probably a good appointment for them.

Everton winning against Arsenal? CT:

Basically, world football owes it's existence to Sunderland supporters as they've either founded or managed early on half of the globe's football clubs and even to this day, most of the world's football club fans have a huge admiration and respect for Sunderland AFC whilst simultaneously holding Newcastle United in disdain. In fact, in remote South American villages their holy bible is actually a 1885 copy of the Roker Review. True story. FTM.

All MLF's I've absolutely no doubt.

I heard a discussion on talksport, (bear with me here ) which piqued my interest to see what rationale would be in a sportswashing discussion between West Ham fan, Martin Samuel and I strongly suspect, Tottenham fan, Darren Lewis. Lewis opened up saying he was rooting for us in the SF v Southampton as he wanted to see us get to Wembley and face Man U and then thought to himself, Have I been sportswashed? They had a general discussion obviously not liking the Saudi Arabia human rights but admitting that we're not really bigging up SA so far and it's just been about NUFC, the resurgence, the feel good factor, the fact we're still playing a lot of the old players, we haven't spent billions on M'Bappe etc and saying, if anything, the Saudis would be under the spotlight more than they would've been had they not bought NUFC, ditto the Qataris hosting the WC which they fully admit to fully enjoying when they were there. The show, the host and the journalists were fully on board with the tricky subject of sportswashing and our part in it but after they'd thought about it, talked about it, looked at sportswashing in the past going back to Russia, the US, Olympics in Nazi Germany etc they realised it's been happening for years and they actually thought we, the fans, had fuck all to do with anything, the three of them did a U-turn I believe as the premise at the start wasn't the outcome at the end as I genuinely got the feeling it started off as a bit of a hatchet job but the reality dawned on them at the end. Nobody's really bigging SA up other than one or two knackers on twitter or on the telly iyam. I think it was like them entering a maze and eventually working their way out.

I'm in complete agreeance with this and shall be using the word from now on when the situation calls. Bravo, @Monkeys Fist, bravo.

Say you're a mackem without saying you're a mackem. Just seen the above and it's quite amusing as while Howe was supposedly blushing at that press conference by the 'recent suggestion' (It was her who 'suggested' it if you're not sure), that he was morphing into Simeone by employing dark arts, and she was getting what she thought was a subtle dig in, the laughter from everyone present was clearly audible at her question and I presume at her. Absolutely embarrassing moment for her if she's being honest with herself as it was so off kilter with the rest of the press conference.

7-0 dubbing at Wembley. (In off the black). *IT WAS A JOKE GOING AROUND THEN AND OBVIOUSLY NOT THESE DAYS* Chill your beans.

We could've won the 2nd division if we won and Sheffield United and Leeds United didn't. Unlikely they'd both lose but if one had slipped and we won it was automatic promotion. Obviously both won and we got twatted by a Boro team who could've been relegated that day. Tough to bear especially getting beat by the orcs in the play offs but it lead to KK in my opinion so was the dark before the dawn.
-
Aye everything about it was shite including the result. No need for SJP to put it on a big screen as it's on TV unlike that Boro potentially title winning game.

Give me half an hour and I'll give them all a ring.

Materialism: The "What have you bought?" Thread
Howmanheyman replied to Tooj's topic in General Chat
I've seen the others on eBay. -
Good for you, CT. Nothing like a bit of curiousity and the willingness to follow it through. I'm sure they'll go gently with you if it's your first time?

I actually saw your shirt recently on eBay @ShirtBrigadeLtdand if I liked the style of it I'd have bought it years ago when toffs did a more realistic version of it, in all seriousness, it's too silky looking and the crest doesn't need to be on. Good luck if you can shift a few but we're just old cunts with differing degrees of taste on here so not your target audience. Try twitter with the #NUFC hashtag as there are some on there who might go for it but don't get into any collaboration with someone called Wraith or NUFC matters as you'll be seeing your shirt for sale under someone elses name with a token amount going to charidee.

Aye, err, if you could just join knights of football over there, he's with toughguy Mick and toonraider2.........

I knew you were, I know a few who would get in there and I never understood the attraction? When I was single a long time ago and we were all out we'd sometimes pop in here and I was exactly the same.

This is why I pay for this site.

PM from Gemmill: "Hi Krissy/Helen, I'm not into shirts or going to football games but I am into cyber love, if this sounds like you as well then HAVE YOU SEEN THIS? ........"
