Everton are a good club, they are not a placca club, they have a good history and can generally hold their heads up. Which makes it all the more strange that a fair proportion of their fans take the effort to have a pop at us, I'll have a good bet that there isn't Mags going on their boards pretending to be Evertonians. You can just see their faces contorting when we were on the telly being (gasp!) talked about. "Im fucking sick of seeing these Geordie bastards on all the time, they're fucking shit with no history!" TRANSLATION, "Why do they always ignore Everton". You can put fucking boring, very boring Villa to that list too, in fact they're even worse.

Exactly what I was thinking. Shearer won't get the job under Ashley because of the demands he'll make. It'll be interesting to see the excuse they would come up with if they gave the managers job to O'Leary, the only reason they never gave the job to Shearer was because it would be 'unfair' to the new owners. (Of course that was the reason, Deka, of course).

Yes. You've more faith in whoever is doing the buying (ha!) and selling at NUFC than I have. Sorry. I misread your post. I thought you said 'would be sold' :aye: Then again, even Ashley wouldn't leave us with only Shola up front...........Would he?

If West Ham really do offer £3M, does anyone think he won't be sold?

Whilst our worst were the two clowns from Argentina. Collocini takes the highlights (as does any dodgy NUFC centreback) but my patience ran out with Guiterrez a while back, he started brightly but is now known by me as 'blind alley' Jonas. He runs into defenders and tries to do the impossible and is also starting to embarrass us with his diving which is becoming frequent, his passing is very, very poor and his reluctance to take a man on when in a good postion and have a shot has me pulling my hair out, he has a phobia about shooting, if I was a team mate he'd get the hair dryer treatment from me, never mind the manager, (if we had one). How he never came off was baffling, our goal came about when Shola ignored the overlapping Jonas which would have been a decent pass to be fair, but he would have wasted it, instead he passed to Nolan who played in to Duff who took it very well, more of that kind of play please, lads. Jonas is seriously disrupting any flowing play we might produce, he's a liability. Spot on that like - It was a toss up between him and Ryan Taylor as to who wasted the ball the most - I would give Lua Lua a go in the right wing and put duff onto the left and get a right back asap. I would even give Geremi a go, I know he can't run but his positioning is so much better than Taylors I don't think he would get exposed as often. Ryan Taylor.

Ameobi? Doubtful. Carroll? I don't know... maybe? I think that kid's got some chops to him. For one, he actually looked like he gave a shit those last few games- coming back to play defense on set pieces and whatnot. It's hard to be optimistic about anything NUFC related obviously, but I hope Carroll blossoms in the CCC and puts this team on his back to get us back up in a seaason or two. True 'dat. I don't think he is one of those strikers that will get a load of goals anyways (Unless he played against Aberdeen). He will chip in with the odd few and probably get about 15 or so in the championship. Carroll's a young lad new to the team, he's playing alongside Ameobi and he has the worst midfield (in my opinion), that I've seen at NUFC to 'help' him. He's got no flying right back to overlap the shit midfield either and put the odd cross in, (Beye has gone), so he's basically left with Enrique for any real supply. I'd say he'd do very well to get 15 goals in that side, I'll be surprised if he gets double figures, (ok, there's more games, and the defences won't be quite as good, so maybe I should take that into account, I'm just very pessimistic as things currently stand).

Quite simply, as things stand, we are in the shit. Anyone wanting to make a quick buck get some serious money on us to get relegated, I wouldn't (and couldn't), but we're looking a knocking bet if he doesn't sell. Even if he does get a buyer, it'll take a good manager to get enough people in for the January window. I don't think I've ever been as disheartened about NUFC in the build up to a season. We have been ruined by the fucking Halls, Shepherds and finally this utter cretin who has been like a Mackem super virus in our club. In 2009 we have said goodbye to Given, N'zogbia, Owen, Viduka, Martins, Beye and Bassong. I've not bothered to include the likes of Edgar, we've seen dross like Nolan and Ryan Taylor come in. I know it was likely EMO was going the distance no matter what was going to happen, but, would a side with Milner, Given and N'zogbia in it all year have been enough to keep us up? I'd say fucking definitely, Ashley is repeating the same mistakes all over again, some of it forced, (by his crass decisions which took us down in the first place), and some of it just plain stupidity. Is anyone convinced Carrol and Ameobi will get the goals that the Quinn/McGhee partnership got the last time we were relegated? That would be a big fucking no, then. Our midfield is just about the worst I've seen in my time of following us, (early eighties onwards), our defence looks pretty shaky now, there is no decent back up and we've yet to sign anyone, and if we do, who is going to have the final say? Hughton? Calderwood? Is JFK on the dog and bone offering his advice? Get the prayer mats out, maybe its time the NUSC put out a little deadline of our own, when is FMA going to start running the club if a sale doesn't happen? Has he got a date in his mind? Is he going to do the things that other football clubs do, like have a manager, buy as well as selling players, generally have some kind of fucking idea what to do and when to do it. This man is the ultimate Mackem wet dream.

I was sitting to Andersons right, near one of the doors, there was a family of, (to be quite honest) fuck-wits babbling all the way through, luckily I could hear Anderson no bother over the mic, but it irritated me at the time. -

I was going to pop my head into Shearers bar to have a quick listen to R5L's show before the supporters club talk-in with John Anderson started in the Strawberry, I walked in and was heading up the stairs when I was headed off by a club official who asked if I had a ticket, I was then told it was by invitation only and the invites were dished out by the BBC, I then wished them well, (ahem, ) and went over the road to hear some great tales by Ando, one of them inevitably involved Gazza, The players were in an airport when Gazza, who had been dropping one pences behind strangers then shouting at them suddenly notices Jimmy White the snooker player, he then tells Ando and the lads excitedly, "Here! look! it's Jimmy White!", he then shouts at the top of his voice, "Hoo! Jimmy! Jimmy White! howman! Jimmy!!!" White eventually turns round to see this smiling young lad, (Gazza) bend down to take a shot with an imaginary snooker cue and shout out, .........."180!" -

I think I might pop along very soon, if ones shite you can always nip over the road to see the other, who'll take first billing? -
Mods can you do something about this langauge. Swearing is swearing but as i'm someone who believes in god, reading that is horrible. Thanks in advance. feel free to leave in protest I am going to leave as you boys don't deserve anymore attention. Aside from the blasphemy you are, for the most part, tin pot napoleons that swear and cuss and blame everything and everyone you can and it has become boring reading the same drivel day in day out. Good luck, have fun oh and you think Kinnear coming would be the worst thing in the world but the thing is, HE TURNED YOU DOWN!! Spurs 4 eva!! No homework to do, then?

Joe misheard someone say, "Joe, would you like to our manager for the next two years", when they actually said, "Joe, for fucks sake, we gave you a canny little number for taking us on for a few months whilst the heat was on, but if you think you're going to become our manager again, then your nurse needs to seriously up your medication you silly 'deluded' twat" To be fair, it's an easy mistake to make.

"JFK offered 2 year contract, I shit you not" Thank God for that, we really do need someone to come in and 'Steady the ship', and we all know from the experts on the radio/telly that JFK did just that before the masses brought on his heart attack with our delusions of granduer. A good move by Mike, methinks. Carlsberg don't do resigned sarcasm or cynicism, so I'll do it for them.

Wise words and yes, Im a member of the interim committee and responsible for the website, so let me know what the issues are and I'll take a look. Whenever someone has come along with something Ive endeavoured to fix or change it. I already have and it was resolved. P.S. Sorry for getting the name wrong.

There's been some good posts on here regarding the NUSC, Whilst it's true that things were never going to go hunky dory in a new supporters group born out of the shambles our club has become, it's fair to say there's been one or two who have been quick to put the fledgeling supporters club down. First things first, these people have got off their arses and attempted to do something regarding the shambles running NUFC, secondly, I'm hoping to see that the NUSC will endeavour to have a goal of getting supporter representation at boardroom level in the future. A supporters club with a 10% ownership should be consulted and this should be a long term aim of the NUSC. I've had a bit of bother with a couple of things on the NUSC website, then again, I'm no computer expert, (I know when to press 'return' at the right time) but hopefully the lads involved will sort these glitches as and when. If any fan hasn't signed up I'd ask why? Surely this is the best opportunity we'll ever have of actually doing something instead of twisting our clocks and sitting on our hands? If things aren't perfect, bring it up to the people involved, involve yourselves and help out, if you have an idea, e-mail them or go to a meeting. I'm presuming pease pudding is 'well in' judging by the posts on here, I'm also a member and have had a few queries of my own, as long as this supporters club doesn't become a old pals club and is fully inclusive of all the membership then hopefully it'll grow and have some actual clout. Remember, 'you're only as stong as your members'.

I've been on the dole since April, the few jobs in my sector have been shiftwork and 'meets minimum wage'. If the economy is improving, I haven't spotted it.

Keith Harris: Club may be sold this month, but not by our first game
Howmanheyman replied to Amir's topic in Newcastle Forum
We're basically knackered, I don't think anyone is prepared to pay FMA what he wants and also keep the club going with funds. They either haven't got the money or don't think we're worth the investment. I just wish either party, (FMA or potential bidders), would announce their intentions that the game is up. I'm just pissed off with the stalemate and being kept in the dark. -
Nah, it was Martin Thomas between the sticks for that one - league game early on in the season (87/88). Remember it well I wasn't sure if it was or Kelly or Thomas, sometimes you remember games crystal clear, others, like this are a bit faded. I know we got beat off Wimbledon, anyway. Aye 2-0 defeat. We had a pretty shit start to the season IIRC (lost to Forest at home, Wimbledon at home, destroyed by Liverpool at home) but we still finished the season in 8th. Yes I remember those, missed the Forest one, we only had the paddock terracing along the touchline as the old West stand was demolished and it looked a bit wierd, (and shit).

Bloody hell, you've got to feel for Gary Kelly. I'm sure John Fashanu chipped him one game (FA cup?) it hit the crossbar (thank fuck!) came out and hit him on the head as he was landing and flew back from whence it came and ended in the net, (fuck!).
