No we get a fair crack of the whip, we've been on telly more than Tottenham or Chelsea, as we were in our relegation season, comes with having a massive fanbase. Console yourself with the lack of disruption to your league programme being an insignificant unloved club brings. He should be well aware of that fact, I'm sure I've heard a few Mackems mention it once or a few hundred times in the past.

Three times that I remember off hand; 1: At SJP when there was a giant screen v Boro. (If that counts). 2. Again at SJP v the Mackems when the ugliest strike force in the world did us 2-0. Got a bollocking off me Dad for that when he found out. I think the average age of the pitch invaders was 17 or something. 3: After the game v Grimsby when we won the 2nd div title. (One of the lads got to pat Keegan on the back as someone put the crown on his heed).

I might have, but couldn't give you an opinion on anything pre-1992 the year we were formed. Sorry.

is this the shitest selection of strikers in your lifetime?

Pingel and Rob Mcdonald? Reilly and Cunningham? John Robertson and Mirandinha? Yes this lot is up there, though. -
That's a good call there, Stevie. If I put SSN on and she's on you take your eyes off the show even though it's a parcel.

For me its now all about the summer. It we dont spend a lot then we finally will have no doubt about his intentions. To be fair there's only you and Skidmark that don't see the guy for what he is. I disagree. I think there was quite a few on this forum who were starting to believe that with the likes of Tiote and Ben Arfa, getting contracts for the likes of Carrol sorted out, that we were on the up and heading in the right direction. The progress since relegation would never satisfy the likes of Leazes, but I think a lot of Ashley haters still had some belief creaping in that the club was heading in the right direction. Carrols sale has stalled that belief for me, which is why I say the summer spending bill will be make or break. I can't deny there's been a couple of potentially good moves like the ones you've mentioned, but sadly the rest of the shit outweighs any good gestures for me. Imo they are more likely distractions to paper over the mulitple cracks. A leopard never changes his spots and Ashley has been proven to be a lying bastard in the past - I could be tempted to give Ashley some breathing room to do the right thing but he continues to surround himself with scrotums like Llambias who really bring nothing to the club but disruption and aggrovation. Couldnt agree more with that. We had a nice feel about us when Mort was there. Said for a long time as have many others, that a proper footballing man should have followed Mort, however theres too much gone under the bridge now and I doubt Ashley would trust anyone else. They'd just bought the club when Mort was there and there was a general feeling of 'out with the old, in with the new'. This was their honeymoon period. Mort was an employee of Ashley and a lawyer to boot. We'd be no better off if he was here but he'd be a bit more wise than Llambchops to making PR gaffes. It wouldn't mean we'd be better off, just he'd be a better liar.

To be fair to Carroll I'd rank him higher than TC and Rambo/Mavis. (Just).

You could put him in with that bunch, certainly not the rest, (based on his NUFC time).

Andy Carroll aftermath(press conf/interviews etc)
Howmanheyman replied to Barney's topic in Newcastle Forum
Charming man that Derek Llambias.... He said that? Really? says it all, doesn't it? I don't think Al is some kind of God at all, but do wonder how a man can be blamed for relegating a club in seven games. The regime were responsible for relegation and for this utter fucking cretin to suggest otherwise seriously gets my urine bubbling over. I don't think I've ever held anyone in charge at NUFC in more contempt than Llambias, and that's no mean feat, he is the Goebbels of NUFC but not as talented. -
Oh Andy Carroll You were the love of my life Oh Andy Carroll You could've punched my wife Oh Andy Carroll I hate Mike Ashley too!

aythangoooo Im not going to do a Leazes but that is something Ive said all along, hes not done it in anything like the way I expected ie a fire sale and leaving us screwed but bit by bit hes taking the money he "invested" and doesnt give a fuck what it does to the club. The same will happen with Ben Arfa, Tiote and anyone else that looks good, once a good offer comes in they'll be sold and a lower quality signing replace them on the hope the same happens again. At some stage he'll sell us for £200m and end up about £100m in profit with no thought for what its done to our club. Lets just hope thats before its too late. Not a fucking cat in hells chance anyone will pay that.

What are your views about yesterday's events?
Howmanheyman replied to dbsweeney's topic in Newcastle Forum
That's about it, really. If it's true we offered fourteen million for Zog then these lot are as clueless as we all know they are and it also is an encouraging sign for any would be sellers to us in the future. Desperation stuff. Also be interesting to see the calibre of player we try to recruit in the summer if we're still a PL club. If he spends about 15 mill on a couple of 'past it' players like Keane then half the money plus wages is spunked up the wall and we'll be worse off, it's always the way I'm afraid. -
Second guess the official press release tomorrow.

It'll all be AC's fault, (they'll say in the statement that shouldn't be issued as they don't do statements apart from the times when they do.) -
I'm pleased I missed all that shite. David Craig is a complete prick, no friend of NUFC and thick as thieves with the Goons runninig our club. He's basically very comfy with Lambchops for his info. It's his job.

I'd go along with that. I got a link to this place to some thread from Paddocklad who I know from another forum which is dying on its arse. Can't remember what is was about now but was impressed with a lot of the posts in it so signed up but I definitely felt this place was a bit clicky, not sure that I'm now used to it or have become 'accepted' so don't notice it as much or if the place is still like this for posters newer than myself. You're tolerated, just, as a favour to Paddocklad. Cheers, Rents. Are you the one with the stained glass windows? My toleration's wearing thin. I need admin powers. I'll take that as a 'yes'. Funny place this with some good posters, to be fair. I particularly like that Toughguy kid, the Man U one with the stand up comedy. He's good. To be honest, it is a good place, what the place needed when I signed up were more working class people, no disrespect to people who were born in Hong Kong or the likes of Renton. You don't want charva's, but you want proper geordies to go alongside people who like debating fine art and dabble in stained glass windows. There's about 15/20 posters came in since 2007 who have given the place a happy balance in that respect. I would implement a few rule changes personally though. If someone is just a thick chavvy cunt, immediate ban, the equilibrium at the moment is good. Thats me fucked then!

I'd say a fair few weren't into football pre-1990 because they were too young. Not really their fault to be fair.

An idiot who played for us as he did the odd time I saw him play for Inter Milan. Should be a cracking player but has no football brain.

I was 'invited' onto it from 606. It's mainly arsenal, man U, chelsea and us.

As bad as Roger de Courcey is, (and he's stank out every NUFC game he's edited commentated on), Charles Harrison was still the worst commentator I've ever heard, bar none. One song I'd like to see back is 'We love you Newcastle, we do' instead of the new camp version, 'We love Newcastle, we do'. Seriously, young children, it sounds fucking terrible, give your heeds a shake and get the proper more manly version back. Now. Uncle HowmanHeyman knows these things. Aye but the way we used to sing Newcastle was, Newcsul, Sima made the point a while ago. The younguns don't get it. I can't believe no one likes me song by the way, he's me thinkin a could be the toon's answer to Susan Boyle. Quite. The new version of 'we love Newcastle', though. Surely to God those young'uns singing it must realise how shit it sounds? All of a sudden, when that song gets an airing, it's like L7 has turned into Aled Jones younger, gay-er sons.
