Me and me muckas would always alter Otis Redding's 'Dock of the Bay' as it was on the aged juke box, whilst idling in our then local in the summer; I left my home in Walker Headed for the Whitley Bay Cos I've got nothin' to live for Looks like nothin's gonna go my way Sitting on the dock of the bay Watching the tide roll away I'm just sitting on the dock of the bay Wasting time Ah! Simple things to please simple minds, days on the piss with no mortgages, kids etc. Quality. Would love to hear Otis sing those altered lyrics, why should all these American Cities and places get all the song exposure?

Not what you're after, but there was an Indian restaurant in Lanzarote called Mahat'ma Macoat.

This is bait for a bite, surely?

I love that type of art, mate. I once had a calender of the tourism posters of the Twenties and Thirties. Thats the nearest I got to 'owning' them I'm afraid. Also love some of the oil paintings of Eighteenth century naval battles. However I'd myself silly if I could have some original Ancient Greek art/pottery like the cover of this book.

Well not last night but he previous night I'd been up all night on the nest and I couldn't stop smiling either. Whatever floats your boat, Paul!

Excellent considering the Tiote news. No offence, CT, but I sometimes think you're a propagandists wet dream/target audience. [/]Woosh im afraid.[/b] I don't know what 'Whoosh' means, CT. All I meant was that, to me, the Tiote deal is the club making sure they get the top premium for him. Whereas you seem, (to me anyway), to be thinking we've a potentially great player at our club for the next 6 years. Am I mis-reading you, CT? Apologies if I am.

Is this the new 'not treating/being treat like a cunt' Stevie? No, it's actually me being a piss taking cunt Apologies to the person at the end of it. He's just being nice, Stevie.

Is that some kind of new age hippy therapy involving these?

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-u...72703-28233896/ Thats quite a long contract, but good news Yes, we'll be able to demand a lot more money for him when the 'big' clubs come a knocking. If Tiote carries on as he's doing on the pitch I'll show my arse in Fenwicks window if he's still here in three years, never mind six!

Just little phrases to be honest. "Getten ze Bapszuns out" (To any ample chested fraulien you may encounter) And from the 'Commando' books I read as a bairn; "Gott in Himmel!" "Achtung!" "Schnell!" "Hande Hoch!" "Feuer!" Apart from that, they usually switched to English which was handy for their average British reader.

Only caught the last ten minutes of Liverpool's game with Sparta Prague. 0-0 on aggregate and a full looking Anfield sounding like a morgue as extra time was looming, (apart from the Sparta fans who could be heard), Liverpool get a corner the crowd stir, commentator, "Anfield comes to life, listen to the crowd!" they score, have a little sing to celebrate the goal and its one of those great European Anfield nights!! I don't know who the commentator was but he must have been paid on a cliche piece work rate. Also Kenny Dalglish was hailed as some sort of tactical genius by Nevin at the end which was being a bit generous, (and I don't mind Daglish, by and large). And Stan Collymore () must have said something in the studio but I turned it off at that point.

Wigan and West Ham are by some distance the worst teams I've seen us play, (I'm going on the Wigan away game, here.) As Wolves are bottom and not high scoring I'll go with them too. Would love to see Villa get dragged in to it but it'll not happen.

I read my renewal form with great interest..........Then scrumpled it up and lobbed it in the bin. It was a good throw considering I've never played Basketball apart from on the bairns wii.

Danny B? A complete Bell Helmet forever on the wind up and not very good at it, either. What? He's never coming back? Top lad who always gave us an insight into a rival spectators point of view. Will be missed.

I'd love to see someone try and punt this on the Dragon's Den.

My mate was charged £80 for being drunk and disorderly. You should just get away with being charged for 'fraternising with the enemy', James.

All the best, Cat.

I've played football with his brother before and my Dad knows his Dad pretty well from their playing days too. He did go to Stockport and he went to a few other clubs after that. He had a reasonable career. I think he was at Wigan for a while when they were in the lower leagues. Stockport was the only one I could think of, I knew he'd been elsewhere. I've played against Steve Watson and Robbie Elliott when I was younger, played against Tony as well no doubt.

Steve 'Pat Butcher' Bruce Lee Clark There was a lad called Tony Dinning who didn't make it at NUFC but who played for Stockport (I think.) Thats about it, to be honest. (That I know of).

Niall Quinn Whining about his shit fans again
Howmanheyman replied to Happy Face's topic in Newcastle Forum
I could've told him then in 2007 that his comments were making him look a bigger fool than David Icke. The future for Sunderland should be rosier than ours due to the investment and commitment, but it won't be, because of the basic fabric of the club. They are not half the size of Newcastle United in support, stature, or local and national appeal. When you factor in it's a shithole it's ridiculous comparing the clubs even. The true difference in the clubs was shown in those figures last week - gate receipts Sunderland £12m (Prem) Newcastle £31m (CCC) it's a gobsmacking difference. If Sunderland fans had to pay proper prices they'd be even smaller - probably akin to say a Birmingham City. Fuckin' hell. Thats a beauty there. 95% of football clubs in Britain would jizz at the thought of having a fanbase the size of Sunderland's, when we were first promoted under Keane the economy was good and as a result we averaged around 44-45,000 that year. Which is fantastic support, especially for the shit our fans have been put through for the majority of the last half century. Quinn needs to realise that times are tough, and that fans feel more alienated from the game now than at any time in football history. Its alright for him to bang on about people not buying season cards but at the end of the day he's going back to his massive house with his 8 figure bank balance. For what you had to put up with prior to that season I wouldn't knock your support that much, a lot of so called big clubs wouldn't have got as many in similar circumstances, but, just to put the record straight, your average attendance was 31,887. You got 45,000 crowds at some point in that season and you also got twenty odd thousand crowds as well, hence the average gate being 31K. -
Pardew: "I'll spend wisely in the summer".
Howmanheyman replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
Is it true he bought Carlton Cole for West Ham? If so perhaps he needs to avoid transfer buy bragging and maybe put his head down, gaze at his shoes and say nothing. I'll be highly pissed off if this club spends a penny on this lump. It's very easy to sell a good player for a lot of money and just as easy to waste the proceeds. We spent all the Gazza money on four players and still got relegated after finishing eighth the previous season. -
Sums it up nicely. Your fans were a fucking joke in the San Siro. At least as good as Milan, getting stuck in on the pitch and playing some canny stuff which lead to a great breakaway goal. Spurs fans? Singing 'oh when the spurs go marching in' very slowly and thats about it. Absolute fucking Cacka and I put you near the top category of fans in London as well, (thats being damned with faint praise, by the way). As someone who actually met and spoke with this A, Gentleman, and B, very good manager, I don't need a Spurs wind up cretin to prompt me to do or say anything. On the anniversary of his death I might well start or answer a thread commemorating it but I'm not a public grieving, hand wringing attention seeker so will make comment when appropriate. I'm sure Mrs Robson and her family will have marked the occasion in their own way. You really are a prize Bulls Knacker, Danny, the epitome of the stereotype Spurs fan.
