    Ok, thanks, Laz.
  2. Brummies are usually the most boring bastards in this Isle. What makes you think they'll ever be happy? They will be happy because they can by any player they want, they don't have to sell their best players and they should be competing for every trophy. They don't seem particularly happy, the ones I've heard. What's more, I've heard plenty of QPR fans saying they really hope they don't start spending ridiculous sums. The penny is beginning to drop. I wish it would drop with you, nicholarse.
  3. I know what you mean, like. I bought an asics one in perfect condition from ebay after my old one met its maker many moons ago!
  4. Never heard of tunes, Tom?
  5. Fair enough. Oh and Should've said all our shirts from the first one to have a panel on......'are going to be shit'. And adidas started the rot there. Still doesn't excuse the front of the new one. Anyway, maybe it's an age thing. Don't think we've had a good home one since; Funny enough, out of all the adidas's, umbro's and puma's etc, one of the best home shirts we've had was the asics one.
  6. Did I? Don't know where you get that idea from? adidas have gave us the odd decent top but most were shit.
  7. I liked the story of him coming down to breakfast late in New Zealand whilst on duty with England. He gets his breakfast only to realise there's no bacon on it, cue, 'fucking hell! country full of sheep and I can't get nee bacon!'
  8. What stripes? The two white ones in the middle? It's a piss poor effort and is not a Newcastle Utd strip. The huge panels on the back is a marketing ploy which we're unfortunately lumbered with so in a way I don't know why I'm that bothered, all our shirts from this day on are going to be shit.
  9. That's still £10 cheaper than the club shop. Anyway here's the new Huddersfield kit by Umbro. I'd love to see us kitted out by umbro. Thats a canny shirt, that one.

Any of you computer geniuses on here give me an idea why I can't seem to watch anything from youtube? The last few days I press play and the video plays for about 3 seconds, stops, tries to reload, starts again for another couple of seconds then stops again. It's doing my fucking head in! Help!!
  11. Isn't the rumour that Pedro fucked Mrs Dogleash and Kenny found out??? Surely no-one in their right mind would think that Marina Dalglish would fancy Peter Beardsley, loved him as a player but c'mon. Even if you disregarded his looks you'd have to be hard up to enjoy his company if his first autobigraphy was anything to go by. One of the most boring football books I've read. The rumours up here at the time were that the wives fell out because Mrs Beardsley was very mouthy about her husband being benched, and she thought he should be in the team. Kenny was supposed to have responded to a journo asking a question about the team that 'maybe you should ask Mrs Beardsley' Kenny says it was a tactical decision to bench him and Beardsley say they never fell out and are friends still. It was Souness who sold him, not Kenny. Too soon in my mind, he was a great player for us. Is there no beginning to this man's managerial talents?
  12. We sell our best players and we end up a worse side. This has happened for years, and Gazza was one of them. I'd love us to reject the bids we get in and build a side, imagine Beardsley, Waddle and Gazza in the same side at their peak with a few decent players in it? I'd think that team would've done alright, like. Whenever I think of Gazza and those times I think of this;
  13. My youngest (5 years) asked me how could I get a hankie to move? I didn't know what she was going on about until she said, "put a boogie in it". I thought it was funny, anyway.
  14. From where do you get the basis for this delusion? Because it wouldnt be suicidally crazy if we didnt replace Carroll with a qaulity striker and go get that extra striker we needed before AC's departure. I'm guessing you mean it would be suicidally crazy if we didn't replace Carroll. My rebuttal would be that it would however, be cheap. Ashley will see that we've survived this season without any big name signings taking the field, and we made a phenomenal amount of money Fish, mate, i think your a top poster but drop the patronising and condesending tone fella. I think we will sign one striker for about 10mil and another "european prospect" for about 5mil. A 'Pancrete' and Carlton Cole?
  15. Well I'm not so optimistic. You're expecting a lot from a badly injured Afa and the new signings. I hope you're right!
  16. Can't understand getting so worked up over a presumption that we won't drastically improve the strikeforce during the summer, especially after a win. I'm no Ashley apologist but I'll judge him (and Pardew) when the window is shut, not before it's even open. I actually absolutely agree tecato. We were less than convincing today and at times i was frustrated too but to go on a rampage is a little...dramatical no? I've been quite vocal with my opinions and i've always said just wait and see what happens in the summer. You never know, we could go and spend big and really push on, equally we may spend moderately but either way we will be an improvement on this seasons side which imho isnt a bad side. Just lacks quality upfront. See how we do in the summer. If its a shocker then LM was correct and il change my opinion. I just have a gut feeling that we will go out and spend well in the summer. If it's a bit dramatical then surely you have to take the past into account regarding the 'lying' accusations proven in a football court. I simply do not trust the current incumbents to run a bath let alone the club. We are on the cusp of a decent side going forward or a decent side going backwards. Honestly, mate, you tell me which way you think we'll go? Dramatic on the back of a win aye. I think we will improve in the summer. Dramatic on a win? Christ I thought we were so unlucky to be beaten 2-0 by Blackpool, no slagging here for that loss. I can just see the future panning out in a way I think will be par for the fucking course whereas we just 'get by' and make a profit for the club i.e. Ashley. If he gets it wrong then we're down. Do you think todays game where a superior midfield versus 10 men should've been so close? Could you not see the hesitation in the midfielders play when they realised they had fuck all to hit?

  18. He's right, baring in mind I only really saw the second half, but what I did see was the most biased referee I've seen since Brian Coddington at the Baseball Ground in 1992. Ronaldo is a diving cunt, but he must've been fouled 10 times without a free kick been given, and any time a Barca player fell he blew up. Mourinho is right, all the referees are up their arse, and I for one can't stand the club, self righteous, look at us, UNICEF, aren't we're morally correct gods. Well no you're a bunch of mugs, Messi is the only player in that club who isn't a dick, Alves and Mascherano, being two of the biggest arseholes in world football. Hope Man Utd embarrass them, and I think they have a fighting chance because without doubt they have the best defence in world football in my view. The ref wasn't biased at all, in fact if he were a weaker character Diarra and Carvalho could have quite easily been sent off. Barca probably had more fouls given due to the fact they had 65% of the possession compared to Real's 35%. I agree about Mascherano and Alves, you can also add Busquets to that list. Xavi and Iniesta are both class acts though. As is Pique (simply due to the fact he's smashing Shakira) I wouldn't just say he was biased though, I've been watching football nearly 26 year, and he easily was one of THE MOST BIASED referees I've ever seen in my life. He was dying to give Barcelona everything. To quote Mourinho about a penalty that wasn't give for Chelsea here in 2005, "that was foul in any stadium, in any league, in country in the world...but not here". The thing is when it happened you could see with the naked eye it's a legitimate goal but you just knew he was going to blow up. The treatment of Ronaldo was absolutely disgusting, he was fouled literally all of the time but they could do it because they knew the referee wasn't going to blow. I've said for a few years and I agree with Mourinho, UEFA want Barcelona to win the Champions League, you have to be blind to see at the very least that referee was incompetent. The argument about possession oh dear. Part of the reason they had 65% possession was because he kept giving them the ball back for non decisions against Real. I suggest you watch the game again. Ronaldo and Mourinho were gesticulating the referee was on the bribe at Barcelona Airport, I think more under instruction or some sort of influence. The funny thing is Real predict what will happen before the games....and it always does. A good referee sends Mascherano off for both dives, someone under instruction awards HIM two decisions instead, most biased referee I've seen this season. Hope Man Utd tear them a new arsehole. I felt the opposite. Adebayor could have been booked 3 or 4 times when he came on for just running into people like he was playing rugby. Alonso got away with murder as well. They couldn't get near Messi, Iniesta or Xavi and resorted to kicking them off the park. This Barca team is literally the best team I have seen in the 28years I have been alive and Messi the best player. Some of the comments on here are laughable. It's fucking videogame football, the ball sticks to their feet like glue and they can run as fast with the ball as they can without it. They spot and make passes on a weekly basis that I havent seen NUFC play since SBR was at the club. Yes they dive and whinge but thats symptomatic of Spanish football (and football as a whole these days). I've seen worse from Jonas tbh. They havent done a City or Chelsea or Real to try and buy success, 80% of their team has come through the ranks. Whilst I dont agree with residential football schools for 12 year olds, promoting from within is the way forward. Even their manager went from a player, to reserves manager to manager and was giving the backing and support he needed. He's won 8 trophies in his first 2 seasons. That could get to 11 or 12 this year. People really need to give their head a shake and just enjoy them for what they are. Probably the best team in history. To be fair, I thought the AC Milan of the late eighties were superb, as well as the Liverpool team team of 88 which never had the chance to to compete in Europe. (And thats just my memory never mind , 'history')

  20. I was more pissed off today in our win than I was for our 2-0 defeat at home to Blackpool. Anyone who likes a bet with good odds put a tenner on us to get relegated next year. We have the worst top flight strike force I've ever seen us with. The prick in charge will not change things too much other than maybe spendinding £15M on Carlton Cole, (thats including wages, a fact that will have to be taken into account with our owner). What won't be mentioned is what money he would've spent without Carroll's sale. We are royally fucked with this cretin in charge of what is one of the biggest clubs in England. He bought my club for £134M and has made £50M net profit on transfers alone without selling. I am being relieved of my seat next year as I sit in a seat in an area where the pricks motives are questioned publicly. I love my club, we are geniunely one of the untapped powerhouses in this country, ( call me an idiot if you like), but a 2nd division club that averages 44K a season, a club that holds the record average attendance for a relegated team ever is being strung along by this fucking chancer makes my blood boil. Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool were sustained by a board with ambition. Were never were, and we are being conditioned to be accepting of a place in the scheme of things that is similar to Blackburn/Bolton etc. Well sorry, Mike, but fuck right off!
  21. 2nd last match for who knows how long, (Cheers Mike!). I'm sitting typing this beer in hand awaiting my pal who should be finished graft soon before heading to the Toon. Could any young'uns in L7 if they're going to sing 'we love you Newcastle' get it right please, and please leave that droning song you sometimes sing well alone. I'd tell you what it is but after a couple of years I've still no idea as the young'uns go quiet in parts of it so I guess they've no idea of all the words either, (some catchy tune, eh?). Sing loud and proud otherwise and be as aggressive as poss to Ref etc. Cheers, kids!
  22. I remember one particularly woeful game at home when we only had one shot in the whole game and it was blocked by our very own John Robertson (Mirandinha shot). To be fair to the bloke our side were truly shit that year and we never created much, I think we were the lowest scorers and finished bottom, deservedly. Aye. Andy Thorn was another we thought might be good. He wasnt. My first away game was the Everton 4-0 hiding we had on the first game of that season, should've been 8-0. The season didn't get much better, 1-0 down after 34 seconds. Awful season. And that was us spending every penny on gazza and co's replacements, as well!

  24. I don't know about anyone else, but whenever I've had a dream where a dead family member has been it I feel strangely comforted by it.
  25. I liked both of those, 'your swaying arms' is a beautiful song if you listen to the words. As has been said, there is good and bad in every decade, I will say that the eighties produced bands/songs/ideas that wouldn't get a look in today. Like
