  1. I'm sure Clive Allen signed for Arsenal for a million but went onto Spurs without playing a game.
  2. Haha. Yes sir! Well he only played 12 games for us and scored 7 goals. That is coming from a team that has no wingers to cross the ball in and no players capable of creating something that leads to a goal and he still managed to score 7 goals. He has a quality first touch on the ball and he wants to always be around the penalty box. The problem we had was Avram Grant. Ba was obviously our main striker, but Grant decided to put Carlton Cant Control in the middle of a forward 3. Ba was sometimes isolated and due to this, i couldn't really tell you much about him.All I can say is that he will score more than 20 goals providing he stays fit. cheers man . hope you lot bounce back . mind in that pair of horrors at the helm youre nearly as unfortunate as us ! id love to see someone torch o'sullivan's twatful tank commander hat like . wi him under it. That blonde tart you see him with on the telly. Used to be a model in his wank rags. Now his wife. The fucking spawny cunt. straights ?! thats eez wife !? mrs merton to debbie mcgee ". .so what first attracted you to millionaire paul daniels" springs to mind . i bet she's been 'gastight' a few times like ! Aye thats his wife. Was a model in the nineties, fit as fuck then, fit as fuck now. Don't worry, when she see's real men like us she gets wet and thinks, "Ah wish I could ditch this old little cunt". Mark my words. goes without saying mate . . the only name i can remember from Club International days is Linzi Drew (?) (didnt notice the names so much somehow) she was blonde but must be a canny age now . she on left in pic. think could be Dirty Sullivans good lady on right too ? Nah, Eve Vorley was her name, and yes I knocked one out at the time!

  5. Expecting a Liverpool fan to slag Daglish off is like expecting a Mag to slag off Keegan. You know there'll be some out there who'll do it, but they're not worth a wank.

Seeing as Ba is a free transfer hopefully the FCB will wise up to a bargain and sign him up sharpish. Fingers crossed! Me Granny used to say, "penny wise, pound foolish"
  7. That is a point I fear will go over a few peoples heads. I'd have kept him for next year for def, and seen how this years midfielders done and took it from there. If they were shit off a stick I'd have looked to have sold him or let him run his contract down. If he was as influential as he has been then it would've been down to the negotiating table. Money has dictated this move coupled with a suspicion that a (good) influence in the dressing room was frowned upon. The point is that Ashley does not want to lose money on any player, Barton showed his intention to leave on a free so Ashley is now determined to ensure no one else will do the same. That and Nolan wanting a wage that he was never going to get here was why he left, logic does not seem to matter to the FCB only a plus on his balance sheet. It's very likely to be a false economy then.

  9. You'll get a player who'll buy into your club, will score goals and be nothing other than positive for you. He won't be as quick as Parker but will be far more effective, he wont dive into takles like Parker as he wont be as much as a headless chicken as Parker can sometimes be. If you have a big man up front next year all the better. One thing though. You have big Sham. He'll be your biggest hindrence. He's identified the player you need but he'll need to to play to peoples strengths and not chicken out of certain games like he did with us. As an aside I used to love games with you lot ahead of other certain London clubs. Have a deek at this, mate. Quality. That is the type of support I am talking about. Thank you very much for your reply and I was just wondering if i could post it on my blog. I could credit you as well if you want. If anyone else has anything else to say about him, i will also add it to my blog. Once again thanks a lot. Please yourself, mate, I can't stop you! ITV didn't want to show that game as we were bottom and they didn't think the rest of the country would like to watch it. Spurs were on standby but the football league over-ruled ITV and said they had to stick to their contract and televise us. So basically the telly have always been cunts. (Luckily I've never seen the 8-1 game on youtube.)
  10. The players I would want are unlikely to come to us, realistic targets could be; Realistically I'd go for; Enrique: van aanholt 6mReally? £6M? or Ryan Bertrand 4m Barton: Keep him, it's simply not worth selling and he clearly wants to stay. Nolan: Ireland 4milSo spend the Nolan money on a waster who wont get 1/3 of his goals? Jonas: Bentley or SWP 6m Far overpriced for the pair of them, especially Bentley. I'd rather Jonas, to be honest.

  12. Are you like LM?? Want to do it all on credit? Then when we don't get C.L. worry then? Seriously, how do you think we can compete at the top? Browbeaten, no way but I am realistic as to where we are at the moment. I would lo love a mega rich owner like City and Chelsea but they seem in short supply As for sniping at L M., just returning fire. Shame he can't have a proper debate as he's seen a lot of football but won't see any wrong with Fred and the debts the club had I see plenty wrong with Fred, doesn't mean every decision Ashley and his mate make are a big thumbs up. Who said we have to go daft with credit and even better get a CL place? I know one thing, we had the nucleus of a side with additions could've qualified the the UEFA cup with a bit of luck. Why sell Nolan? We'll do well to stand still next year as our two main goalscorers are now gone. Who'll score their goals?
  13. See this is the problem I just dont understand. Do you seriously expect that a fan base is going to have one single view on anything that arises? Do you never have differences of opinion with your own mates in the pub? Quite early in this thread quite a few posters including Alex said they didnt have a problem with this and that if he wasnt going to sign, now was the time to cash in. Quite a few other posters not on Team positive have said the same. I dont see you or the others laying into them Dont recall you telling Alex he was talking out his arse. Even twitter is quite even on the spread of opinions. Other forums seem capable of discussing football topics without descending into a girl fight. I really cant get my head around the bitchiness on here at times. We are talking about a bloke with his best years behind him, who wont make the first team next year, who hasnt been snapped up by a prem club, being sold because he wouldnt sign a new longer contract. All this after a very highly rated French international has already been brought in to replace Nolan. Quite fucking bizarre Alex doesn't support every decision the current regime make ad nauseum. We will all disagree to some extent and that is normal, but I find it very difficult not to think people are deliberately just being trite for the sake of it. For everything LM is accused of, the same could be said of yourself and one or two others. It's that simple. If you think I've layed into you? No, not really, not by a long way, actually. You paid me a compliment a while ago, I've already said I don't think you're a bad sort at all, I do question your motives on Newcastle threads sometimes as I genuinely think you're on the wind up. A one off disagreement is normal, thats the difference.
  14. A Southern mag? Literally? Why do I get the feeling you've been browbeaten by your Southern workmates/talksport listening/antiNufc drones. Stick up for your club, man!! Shaun Custis is exactly the same. He's almost too embarrassed to talk about us
  15. Unlike a lot on here, I don't mind CT. Think he's prob a decent enough bloke, etc. And then he posts in the Newcastle Utd threads. Why do I get the feeling you're in your element, here, CT? Stick to General threads mate, because you're seriously talking out your arse on here. (deliberately, I'm almost positive*.) *See what I did there?
  16. I'm not condoning violence against anyone, just stating that his motives would've been scrutinised a little forcefully once upon a time. More fucking bothered with mobile phones and fantasy football than their own fucking eyes. Some on this MB are as much NUFC fans as I am a fan of take bastard that.
  17. Nolan would've had no choice, he was here for 2 years and was a model pro. I've yet to see a post from you that doesn't attempt to snarl at or goad LM. You're one of the most pathetic excuses of a Newcastle Utd supporter I've ever had the mis-fortune to hear from. Are you familiar with the saying "a cynic is someone who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing" (Oscar Wilde) No? Thats 3 of you including fat Mike and Dekka then Forget his age, ability, recent record, influence in the changing room/around the club, legs, length of contract, inside leg measurement or his nightime drinking habits..its all fuckin irrelevent to what sort of message this sends to his (former) teamates and other clubs who may be circling them. Pardew comes out of this looking like Ashley has his hand up his arse and is fuckin operating him. Someone said a lot of managers would walk over this and thats spot on. Not this one though, who knew he'd never get the chance to manage a club as big as Newcastle United in his career ever again when he was offered the job and will spout mealy mouthed bullshit to cover for these fuckers as a result. Until we're in the bottom 3 at christmas when they'll sack him. How will you feel then Alan?....team matters taken out of your hands by the footballing genius who seemingly rated Alan Smith so much as a player he the useless twats name printed on his shirt. A really great captain if you ask me. One of the best I've seen at any club. Spot on, mate.
  18. I tell you what it is, People like Deno/tiotenutz/whatever would have been twatted for coming out like shite like this at the match when I was younger. That, really is a fact.
  19. Fuck me, I'm starting to be pleased the chubby one has evicted me, now. What happened to our support? I fucking give up with some on here.
  20. We signed a French international who took his place in the starting 11 too. Agree with Brenner ahbout him regretting it, think Gold and Sullivan are total mugs and there is no way on earth West Ham will find life easy in the championship. I wish Nolan all the luck in the world but it sounds like he has moved to get a pay rise this coming season. If they dont come straight back up, its a fucking awful move. Ah! But Nolan might not have played as much because we've got Cabaye. Well lets just hope that Cabaye can lead his team, can get 12 PL goals, can adapt to the PL like a duck to water, will never get suspended, homesick, be mis-quoted in the French press or get any injuries. Some fucking hope there, then!
  21. That's a shock. You two being all for it. So a bloke that gets 18 goals two seasons ago in the 2nd division, gets 12 last year in the PL and a player who was one of, if not the best captains I've seen in my lifetime at the club is sold. A player with 2 years still on his contract who absolutely did not need to be sold, regardless of any unwillingness to give him another contract, he was here and he plays/ed a massive part in the new work ethic to our players. There's no other way of looking at this without shaking your head. He didn't have to be sold. Absolutely pathetic decision, in fact, the best I could possibly say if I was one of the fucking jokers who, rain or shine, blow smoke out of the regimes arse no matter what, is that it's a gamble that could pay off. It's a totally unnecessary gamble but there you go. Being a supporter though I just look at an influential player being sold when he shouldn't have been. Pathetic decision.
  22. Thought Batty was a cracking player for us, like. Completely disagree with anyone suggesting he somehow spoiled our chances. The players who started feel the pressure or lost a bit of form were unfortunately the players who got us flying in the first place. Saying that, Tiote has huge potential which if it comes to fruition wont be in a black & white (nearly said striped) shirt.
  23. You know on a programme when they go in someones house who aren't expecting it? You know when one second they're outside the house the camera trained on the person knocking on the door? Well how come they're filmed from the inside of the house when they enter the house? How did a camera mysteriously find itself there? I think you may have stumbled onto something big, here.
  24. That same holiday it was my turn to get stick on the return journey. The lads kept blowing raspberries and pissing themselves. I didn't mind at first but they just wouldn't tell me why they were doing it* and being, young, hung-over and irritated by the long coach journey I got in a right strop, started shouting and balling on the bus, told them they could fucking whistle if they wanted any tabs at the french service station, (I was the only one who had a bit of french money for this reason) and in this radged up mood started giving verbals to some German lads who had pushed in front of the queue for some bait. I was 'howman ye fucking arseholes, never heard of a queue' etc. They just gave me a daft look and walked past. I told the lads this as we/I now had a common enemy. I get round the corner and the Krauts were practicing some martial art moves before getting on their coach with 'Duetschland Tai-Kwando, Barcelona '92' banner on the side. I let them off. *After a few weeks back it was because I was dirty dancing with a lass who wasn't a supermodel, the fucking tarts! Now if they'd just told me on the bus I wouldn't have nearly chinned the Germans or vice versa.
  25. What year was this? We used to go to Estartit laste 80's early 90's to the campsite you're on about. No word of alie one night me we're going back to the mobile home and there's some kid lieing on the grass pissed and asleep. I only remember this as my mam and dad had a massive barney over it. My mam was a nurse at the time and wanted to help him while my faffa's opinion was 'sod him, let him sleep it off, nowt to do with us.' He was a caring man at times. Was 1992, mate. There was six of us and I was the youngest, oldest was about 22. Unless my whole timeline was out of scale you must've had a late night for it to have been me. Then again, I've no actual memory of the event, just waking up the next morning.
