Alan Pardew defends Newcastle spending policy

No capital outlay till 2015 was it? -
What is that meant to prove? That SKY SPORTS has a fucking lot to answer for with kids being obsessed with percentages and meaningless statistics. I'm 95% sure of that, like.
-
Exactly! I said they're similar. They're similar enough that a news article is done about it. There won't be one "Champions League gets more TV viewers than Welsh Cup Final" because that much is obvious, for example Look, we're talking about people watching a game and people watching an event. You might as well have said how many watched the Oscars.
-
Did they fuickin hell pmsl hahahahaha what game was that Rob's testimonial or the 3-2? That's like playing God Save the Queen before a Celtic game? Regarding Papavasilliou, can you remember those Papa is a geordie t shirts? The 3-2 game. Can't remember them shirts, but then, in those days everyone 'was a Geordie' if they were foreigners, played for us, decent and were a bit radge/off the cuff/unusual in some way.
-
Anyway, you clearly like it so you can please yourself, just because I'd close the blinds if they were playing in my back garden shouldn't spoil your enthusiasm. But it is shite, like.
-
Point, although it does get similar world wide viewers with the Champions League Final, so you have to give it some credit for what it gets How many of those viewers are from outside the US? And not ex-Pats?
-
Thing is, the superbowl is a typically American bullshitted event with bells, whistles and pop stars playing sets through the many stoppages, it's the World cup final for Americans, I bet half the fuckers that watch it even over there couldn't give a monkeys fuck for the actual game, it's just an event, like non- horse racing fans watching the Grand National over here.

You must surely have seen plenty of, (for want of a better word), big cunts playing rugby? Don't see them padded to the hilt wearing a crash helmet, either!

Alan Pardew defends Newcastle spending policy

I think anywhere from £10 to £15m net would be acceptable. However, the most important thing is that if Enrique does go they have replacement (e.g. M'Bengue) and that they bring at least one more striker in that looks capable of getting 15+ goals. If that happens, with no else leaving then i dont really care what the net spend is. There will be people complaining but they will be the same people who get lost in the financial discussions and claim that they dont care about finances, only the football. The inherent contradiction will be lost on them too. Agree. They have the means but have they the will? Spending £35M for the sake of it is crackers, however I'd expect them to get in what we need without looking at the loose change in their hands, wondering if they've enough money. We get in a striker who we'll be confident will do well in this division as well as the cover then I'll be a lot happier too. It's about improving our side. We really are at a junction this year, we are capable of moving on but will we? We could just as easy struggle if the wrong decisions are made this summer, if wrong decisions are made for purely thrifts sake then that'll be a disgrace. As ever, it's in the clubs hands. I've very little trust in them and could anyone blame me for that? -
More Americans play association football than English people mind . We used to take an American Football to school, and everyone wanted in when we did. It's genuinely fun "just throwing it about". Not as fun as Heads and Volleys or anything, but I never said once that I preferred American Football over regular football... just some rugby fans on here proving what I first said about rugby. "OMG e's tlkin aboot a sp0rt dat isnt rugby lets tlk aboot rugby anyway its soooo superior" That must've been Alex's patter that, sticks out a mile, to be honest.
-
More than that, and because they're concentrating on the NFL Europe games at Wembley, also I don't think everyone was happy we were just getting the dregs. Theres a lot of Newcastle fans, but if we played in League 2 i'm sure 50000 wouldn't turn up for example You've just crossed the fucking line there, like.
-
As Alex says, each to their own. There's a few sports I loved playing but couldn't be arsed to watch as a spectator, rugby being one of them, but Christ, American football? I actually seen two 'black dudes' as ToughGuy would say down the coast on sunday chucking a egg shaped ball at each other, Once I heard them talk it was obvious they were Sherman Tanks. The thing is, if you get one or two people, you can have a laugh playing football, World Cup/Three pots in or just cross in for someone to header or volley it past a keeper. All the Yanks can do is throw the ball to each other and catch it. Fucking great fun that, like. TOUCHDOWN!!

Doesn't look a day older than 31.

If Gejon won't eat his own plums, I don't see why you should take some punishment Will he have to take the CT route and post pictures? Who else was a non believer of your ST credentials, CT? Not me. Not for one second, mate. Nothing against CT who for some insane reason I don't mind that much, (Alreet, CT?) but in a way when it comes down to talking about NUFC he reminds me of a bloke who was canny enough but was a bit of a knacker and started going to games, home and away with us in the early nineties just to be part of the crowd. Instead of steering clear of making his football deficiencies clear he seemed to go out his way to appear knowledgeable and used to put stupid, outrageous views just for the sake of it. His nickname was simply, 'Knackas'. Anyway. He had a ST, in fact he had one when a couple of us didn't through a disagreement with the club, he thought this made him more of a 'fan'. He didn't have it for long and used to give it away the couple of seasons we didn't go. He couldn't tell you jack shit about anything pre-1992, no anecdotes or fuck all. Not saying CT is exactly the same, but what I'm saying is he did have a ST.- 10610 replies

I read in the Lonely Planet there's about 600,000 people on Crete and 1m+ guns I've been to Crete like, went to this place for a trip called the Samarian Gauge, beautiful place like but fuck me, I saw this scorpion, and shit mesel, easily the claimed size of J69's cock. Murder for creepy crawlies the greek isles. Was going to do that walk when I was there until I realised it was a four hour drive and the trip was heading off at 4 am to miss the worst of the heat. I did a smaller, much quieter gorge walk though that came out at this beach (Ayiofarango or something - it means Holy Gorge). It was amazing. I did it on my own as wor lass wasn't having any of that when she could be sunning herself. It's a really beautiful place. The inland mountains look a bit like the Lakeland fells, although they're a canny bit bigger. I love how everywhere you go they give you a shot of Raki and have one with you. We went to this place at about tea time for a coffee / ice cream and as it was quiet (think the lass working there was bored) the waitress had about 3 shots with us in the space of half an hour. I'm definitely going back. I was just 11 years of age when I was there like but I remember how class that Samarian Gauge was it hasn't really got a comparison in this country, felt like being on Raiders of The Lost Ark well the last one I forget its name. As for where we stayed I think Chania was shite, and Heraklion was too built up for a beach holiday was pretty shite, was nee Paphos or Ayia Napa that's for certain. Heraklion was bombed during the war which is why it's such a clip now. Only really explored a small bit of Crete though as I was only there a week and it's so big / difficult to traverse with it being so mountainous. I stayed on the south coast. I've read about other places / seen photos that look amazing though. Elafonisi for example. I think in general in Greece it's best to get off the beaten track like. Aye there's a few modern monstrosities there like. There's a NUFC connection to Crete do you know what it is? Nah, unless Georgiadis or Dabizas are from there (just guessing). That's where we signed Papavassiliou from, he looked mint against Hartlepool pre season.... Was at that game. Lovely summers day, good following of Mags down there, Papavassiliou got the ball, held off one of their players and put a canny pass through to one of wor lot. This bloke next to us was mortalic, he gans, "Geddin nicky Papa-lappa-wappa-woah-ya-fucka" as he struggled to get his name. Was funny as fuck at the time.

Shola can be a great finisher when he chooses to take the early shot, his goals against Forest and Sheff Wed spring to mind. Definitely been worse than him and right now, I'd say he's the best striker we've got. (And yes, thats no real achievement right now).
-
He seems older than 30, mind. All the best!

It just reaffirms your beliefs that these people are parasitic, detestable vermin. Saw a documentary the other day on the Miners strike of 84. One of the talking heads they had on was Mckenzie. What a grade A numero uno cunt this man is. The stuff they published about the Liverpool fans sums up the contempt this bloke holds for the common man outside of the South East. Your heart goes out to the Parents anyway, when you take shit like this into account, well.......a fine isn't good enough.

Geordie, British, English. In that order.

Funny, I bought a t shirt through these once. Canny design etc but the actual shirt itself was piss poor quality. Would never buy from them again.

"Dear Mr Llambias, it is with my deepest regret that I have to inform you of my decision to join Mansfield Town FC as Newcastle Utd can no longer match my ambitions......"
