  1. I'm expecting a tough game simply because a few of our lot may get a little blase about this match, (and I'm including some of our support in this). Its human nature after the start we've made. As long as they can up their game when we know we're actually in for a tougher time than they thought then hopefully we'll have enough. Pardew cannot hammer this home enough this week for me. No complacency for a great chance to get more points on board.
  2. My late Granny, the most Geordie woman on the planet was called Gladys.
  3. It takes a big man to admit they're wrong, so here goes. When Mike and Dekka admit they've been Grade A Cocks who have acted like some five foot tall London Lad, high as a kite, having just watched Michael Caine cam up Norf and sorted us Monkeys ahht.........Then I'll cut them some slack.
  4. This thread will have legs and run and run. The white leggings/black top is the winner, by the way.

Now I'm 38, separated and trying to save up to get my own place. Nothings changed except the lots of disposable income bit.

I was into my 3rd year of going out with my then girlfriend trying to save enough to get a house together. No house, no kids and lots of disposible income. (sighs).
  7. When the second most sobering voice on Toontastic says this, it means we should all go in theyah finkin we should cahm aaht wiv free points. Unless we have an absolute shocker then we've every chance of beating these. Every year Spurs come here they seem to have this belief that they'll just turn up, 'bish-bosh, job fahkin done innit, three points to the old Spurs' and when the reality of a harder game than they expected hits them in a more hostile environment than some of their players would like, (Jenas springs to mind!), then they can look a beaten side and their heads go down quicker than a Pink Lane Pro. They're a decent side, no doubt, but far better at home. Lets get into the fuckers as I rather enjoy beating these since the days of holsten Pils, Chas and Dave, ITV's 'big 5' and Gazza and Waddle going there and listening to some of the verbal diahorrea of some of their fans in the past.
  8. Any teenage lad that didn't get the horn watching Wendy James was probably gay.
  9. If KK hadn't tried to take the club/Ashley for £25Mill, might have been different. KK, quite simply the best thing to happen to NUFC in my lifetime, he tapped into the average Mag's psyche and he had us eating out of his hands. Words and deeds. I seriously wonder on Newcastle supporters who denegrate this NUFC icon. Mine too, please show how/where I denegrated him ?? Please show me where I specifically mentioned you denegrating him, if you wish to be a smart arse? Of all the things to mention about KK and his time here you chose to mention him trying to get £25M out of NUFC, ok, fair enough, you could argue it was in the context of why supposedly this game wasn't played at SJP, but if there was a line up of ten or so toontastic posters and you had to pick who would've mentioned the quote about him attempting to sue the club, (Mike Ashley, really), then I'd have picked you out to be honest. Whether thats a fair perception or not that's what I would've done. There are a few Mags around who denegrate KK and who have fallen hook, line and sinker for the revised opinions given by gobshites in the media and talk-ins, (and who certainly have no love of this club), about 'bottling' and 'tactical naivity'. I don't know if you're one of these or not, TP, but you're on the suspected list. Come the revolution, expect a knock on your door in the early hours of the night!
  10. I've been thinking, 'She looks nice', then thinking, 'hang on a minute! it's Meenzer, it's bound to be something gay'. Now I know!
  11. Who's that in your sig, Meenzer? It's been doing my head in!
  12. Early eighties? Ghost Town by the Specials, mid to late eighties? 'Four letter Word' by Kim Wilde will do for now as a teenager with his hormones going twelve to the dozen!!

  14. Superb intro and smooooth as fuck. Still. (I thought you just pasted the url and the forum did the rest? Hmmmm?)
  15. Am drinking a bottle of red after a complete non-event of a weekend. The highlight being 45 mins at the Stephenson's Railway museum with the bairns on saturday. And that really is that. I was supposed to be out today but it got called off, felt for the missus as she was all raring to go out for a meal with her mates and a couple of their partners when, as she's about to get into the taxi it comes out in the wash that it's all partners going and we've recently split up so she didn't go. I thought that was a cunts trick by her pal. So it's been naff all round.
  16. Bad craic all round. Ferguson's for not just telling Worthington to fuck off if he doesn't want to play for him, the kid again if he feels more at home playing for the Republic and can't just come out with it, and Worthington for bitching to the press about a young kid instead of moving on and getting on with it. Also seems to be a bit of history where Worthington has been a bit harsh with his qualities as a player, apparently. Now as someone who's seen Ferguson play only a few games right at the beginning of his career and also seen Worthington as a player then I think the NI manager needs to 'pipe down' as the kid so far looks a better player than his prospective manager ever was!
  17. Couldn't really give a shite where England are concerned and I love the double standards the press have with your average Ingurland fan and the average Mag. One is right to be indignant, is right to boo their side off and disrespect other nations, spend a lot of money on their team and have to be listened too. If the average NUFC supporter acted half the twat that some of the nations supporters do we'd be hammered by the press. Shit article though.
  18. For some reason I've been humming this advert from all those years ago. (Don't know why, but I imagined CT to sound like Brendan Foster or the voice on this advert.)
  19. SPOT - same but with a football Aye I remember playing that. If you couldn't hit the wall with one kick you got an 'S' then the second time you were 'SP', etc all the way up until you spelled the work SPOT and you were out of the game. Can't for the life of me remember the name of it but there was another one where you split the teams equally but there was only one goal and one keeper. Have to play an attacking and defending game at the same time. Sounds like what we called 'World Cup' round wor way or sometimes called 'three pots in'
  20. I personally don't have an ipod/pad/phone and know people who don't, besides, is the criteria for mourning these days? When the bloke who made the Dyson dies will I have to join twitter to pay my respects? "He changed the way I hoovered up my carpet, etc"? Littlewoods Lingerie section editor passes away: "Today I'm going to glue some pages together in tribute" And so on.
  21. Following in the footsteps of his saviour, the Lord, it's Gavin Peacock.
  22. Well put, although to be fair, and without wanting to be disrespectful to your Granda, what would he have said if he managed to see the true modern wonder of you getting the round in? That is a real mind fuck! I'll fucking pro-Geordie, you! I know what you're getting at but it's also true!! I can't have been the only one to think how can a man's death be the main story on the news this morning when I've genuinely not heard of him before? Now I've heard of Bill Gates the computer multi billionaire so I'm not trying to be funny, just not this bloke.
  23. Don't know if it's been said already but am I the only one who had never heard of him? Nor have an ipod/iphone whatever?
