I didn't realise Rodgers is only a few months older than me. He must have had a fucking hard paper round that's all I'm saying.

It's ok, there's plenty of other similar Manufacturing jobs in the North East, we're well looked after up here. Or Never mind, They can re-train and work in a call centre because the rest of the country love hearing Geordie accents and other accents from parts of the country with high unemployment and low wages.

What a fucking hypocritical twat! (Lawro, not the lad from Durham).

Family day out ideas for school holidays

If you can throw in two lithe 18 year old naked Gypsy girls mud wrestling each other to Cher's 'Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves' I may consider it to be honest. -
It does what it says on the tin......... I think most schools break up for a week from the 4th June so as I'm also off that week thought it might be a good idea to put up a thread with some ideas for things to do for those of us with kids, even looking as far ahead to the summer hols if you like? I saw this on true-faith, http://www.true-fait...94?OpenDocument about a NUFC history exhibition at the Discovery Museum in Newcastle and will throw that idea up straight away even if the exhibition doesn't start till october the Museum is well worth a visit as...... 1, it's free!! 2, it's in the heart of the City, 3, The Maritime models alone and the models of the Tyne River make it worth seeing alone, 4, The lifesize replica of The Turbinia (The ship, not the Pub on the Fossway!) 5, General historical items from our magnificent City. There's also inter active stuff for the kids to do and a science floor at the top which kids should like. I'd recommend it if you haven't been. Any other ideas are very welcome as I'm scratching my head a bit to make some plans!!!

Fraser Forster or The Scottish Football Thread.

I've loads of respect for other leagues etc and don't live on this 'Planet England' crap that you talk about. Also noticed you were the only one to mention 1966 as well as nobody on here gives a fuck about it. One thing which makes me laugh is when one of you lot get all spinney-eyed and come out with the classic, 'see if we we're in the Premier league with the money yous get, we'd be MASSIVE'. Here's the thing, mate. We, along with other clubs have had years of big gates PLUS years of the SKY money and guess what we've won? Yep, diddley fucking squat or as you say, hee-haw, so what makes OF fans think they would do any better? You'll have similar gates and similar TV money as the likes of most biggish clubs down here but you'll have to start off with a far worse side and have to take a few hidings along the way, (one off games anyone can win but when it comes to season in, season out, you'd be found out with the players you have). I've no time for clubs who have high percentages of gloryhunting supporters so don't expect an arselicking on here, mate. -
Some of our shirts were pretty shit from adidas and I wasn't bothered when they left although Puma's efforts have been pretty poor to average as well. All those years with umbro and when they made some decent kits we were long gone.

You should've stuck to just talking about Forster to be honest, once the drumbanging started about how great your club is etc most will have switched off or pulled you up. Old Firm fans/gloryhunters/sectarianwannabe's just can't shut their fucking yaps and love to bullshit their clubs up. Ok, we all do to a point but the OF are the absolute worst and you usually have to endure a conversation rather than have a bit of craic with them. If you don't massage their ego's it tends to seriously piss them off. Anyway, about them 22K averages for your back to back title winning sides.........You weren't saying.........? -
I bought my wife the DVD for this on ebay about six weeks ago as she kept going on about it. Six weeks ago I wasted some money.

Funny, he told me that all you needed was love? Sorry, that was John. -
I'll see you alright when I get my new glasses.

It's about a socially adequate bloke who separates from his Wife and instead of taking up Home Brewing or buying a telescope decides to chat up and date women. I'm not sure if the character reads a lot but as the Author based the Character on himself I'm guessing it's a yes.

I'm not worrying just doesn't sit well with me that's all.

And reading a book as well no doubt! Team CT's 'burn the books!' has another convert! Was just thinking if he wants to get on then any misgivings he might have about a prom night could go down like a lead balloon that's all.
-
And he's the face of modern teaching in today's school? Fucking hell! Bring back the psycho sports teacher. All is forgiven.
-
Well if it was me and I hated the idea of it, I'd also have the idea that I'd be letting my pupils down and also could imagine the Headteacher not being too impressed with my opinions and the fact I wouldn't attend it on a principle. Then again, I'm obstinate with things I believe in at work which hasn't helped me in the past, plus I'm not a teacher, either!
-
I suppose he's in a bit of a dilemma with his job if he doesn't like it.
-
I think I paid about £1.60 for it on my kindle. It's canny enough and you'll find yourself smiling at some bits that ring true that's all I'm saying! It's no X-Factor/Voice/Casualty/basically sat night telly though so you might be a bit disappointed.
-
What's year 11 then, Cath? What age? And what does your bloke think about the whole prom thing? Like I said, I think the thing is a very dodgy idea and I can't understand schools promoting it even if the Headteacher must be a halfwit obsessed with the USA.
-
Despite being a ruggedly handsome bastard I was a bit shy round lasses at this age and nothing existed outside of playing/watching football. I would've hated this too, in fact really don't like the idea even now.

What are you going to do for a living when you're not a student and will it involve doing some actual work? -
I'll talk about burger recipes if you want, though.

School Prom night. Apparently they're all the rage as we struggled to book a limo for my young'uns birthday as it clashed with some 'Prom night'. Just wondering what the fuck happened to the school disco and sneaking some booze round the shop before you went in? I think this Americanised idea is awful for kids at an age where peer pressure can be at its worst, what about kids who don't get invited for a date? What about the cost of limo's and fucking tuxedo's/dresses FFS? Terrible this is getting encouraged by schools if you ask me.

'Love, sex and Tesco's finest cava' by Steve Carter is an easy reading first book by a bloke who went on flirt/chat sites and is funny as fuck and also spot on if anyone has ever experienced dating sites. It's definitely a good one for hols.

This is a super chilled song which reminds of the hot summer of '91 I think and of playing football on the Fosse field then being completely on the bones of me arse as me and my pal were reduced to sitting in the Wolsington Hotel in Walkergate nursing halves of Heineken which was on special offer (50p) whilst watching an old dear drinking a couple of pints to slake her thirst as we watched on in envy.
