The missus had hers done a month ago at Optical Express, after service has been great. She said it wasn't painful, just a bit weird having your eyes pinned open and people buzzing around. Don't forget to haggle on price. We asked for a discount and got £300 off, then rang up and said Optimax were £200 cheaper and they said they'd price match - even though we never went to Optimax.

Found one.....

Arrggghhhhh...... it's not an option...!!!!! Can the people who think Administration is a viable option please list our debt. Not forecast debt, Actual debt.

Totally agree there'll be money owed in weird places and for surprising amounts. But Leeds were in league two and faced bankruptcy before their creditors agreed to the CVA. Ashley is our main creditor, so I doubt there's a judge in the land (if there not already legislation in place) that would sanction it.

20m every 3 months (roughly). Ok, Let's take the case of just one player Colo. We still owe £5m transfer fee. We're paying him between 60k and 80k a week depending on which report you believe. When we sell him we'll have to pay a loyalty bonus which seems to be 10% of yearly wages. Even if we get a decent price we won't make any money on him. That's just one case. The question is still moot. 1) It's not monopoly, Ashley gains nothing from Administration. 2) A judge wouldn't sanction it. The main problem with your thinking is you are talking about running costs, while forgetting we'll still have a revenue stream of around 50m. Anyone with half a brain can balance the books to 50m. Your example of Colo. He'd need to be loaned out (thus no sale/loyalty bonus etc.). There'll be plenty of clubs willing to take him on as most will recognise he's been playing in a shite team. Loaning the player out with a fixed fee of 11m sale or return.

What a stupid question. 1) The debt is not out of control, so a judge wouldn't sanction it. 2) All creditors would know this was a ploy not to pay so wouldn't agree to any lowered terms. 3) Ashley would have to give up payment control to a 3rd party, which is madness. 4) If players aren't paid, they can walk for free. And you can bet Duff et al would wait it out. +how are running cost 20m a month. A complete myth. player wages are at most 40m per annum.

Yeah, all of our players would fit into one of them categories. Cacapa is out-of-contract, so isn't our problem.
-
Mutual termination can be agreed at any time, however without another club lined up the player would want compensation. Our best option is to find a new club and offload for free, loan out (to cover their wage & agree a higher purchase price) or sell.

Guess that make me a mong, cos I hate Mourinho negative tatics.

Ronaldo transfer shows how far United has fallen
Phil replied to ohhh_yeah's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think it takes a bit of an over inflated ego to think Newcastle were in Real's league. Blackburns rise and fall would have been a better comparision. Also, Sky alway cut from story to story - as most are re-runs. -
Who think the search for new owners will end well?

Still dreaming of being on Sky TV and avoid dentists....? -

You didn't like Kenny Dalglish? -

As long as the new owner has a plan, it can only put us in a better position. In an ideal world i'd like to see Kenny Dalglish (The Profitable Group) back involved with the club. -
If someone stumps up 15m, then fair enough sell.
-
Wonder how a deal would pan out, would we pay them?
-
If Shearer gets the job I wouldn't be surprised to see the tool stay on to try and leverage a better transfer in Aug / Jan - cos he'll struggle to get 35k. He's the last person i want to be wearing a toon shirt
-
This is great news. Can't believe some people want to see the back of him. Guess they like the prospect of Smith and Shola.... !!!
-
My point is I don't buy into the myth that we have a salary bill anywhere near what is being touted around. Sure it's high for the CCC (i reckon around £35m), but using 2007/2008 as a point of reference is inaccurate as lot of the high earners are out-of-contract and some have been renegotiated (Butt, Harper & Shola).
-
Anything? coffee consumed? hotel rooms stayed in? that sort of thing? I was more thinking the 'golden' payments, such as a signing on fee and departure fees. Remember Fat Fred and his cronies left in them accounts...!
-
Look at our current squad before you reply you fucking spoon. Do you REALLY think they are on over £50m... The 'wages' figure can be made up of anything.
-
Ah the ever reliable newspaper source.... You need to look at the squad and put wages next to the players still on our book. Then let me know if you still think it's over £74m. I struggled to get it above 40m and I reckon it's closer to £35m (if that). Remember 2007/2008 would have been a costly year for the club and the 74m being quoted will most likely include pay-off to Fat Sam, Fat Fred et al and a signing on fee for Keegan. Now take your finger off the 'fire sale' panic button and sit on your hands.
-
Yeah that's what thought they'll all be on shite money. I'm sure Taylor threatened to walk over his last contract. Milner was sold (over poor wages) and Butt only recently signed a new contract (50k my ass).
-
Well if you look at the players we have left i can't see how it's anywhere near the £71m being claimed.... We all know Bassong is on 5k... not the 30k...!!! Which casts major doubts over other silly claims, such as Xisco being on 50k. Player Wages If anyone can point me to a more reliable place to look up wages - i'd love to know more.
-
I don't buy into this player wages tripe. There's no way our wage bill is remotely as high as some people believe.
-
I'm pretty sure defaulting on the debt twice will incur RBS taking some kind of ownership, so the sale of assets may not be voluntary. +You think they'll use common sense and logic to handle the debt? Gillette and Hick are as inept as Ashley - they said in the Liverpool Echo that if Rafa didn't qualify for the knock out stages they'd bring in Klinsmann.
