I don't know why we don't buy this Vaughan bloke?
Phil replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
Not sure what effect his injuries will have had on his pace, but prior to them he was certainly one of the quickest players in the prem. Certainly worth a punt. Sears and Nouble at West Ham are two others we should look at. -
Firefox is pants imo, Google Chrome is your best bet for basic web surfing.

My biggest concern is the German keep the ball so well and in every game so far we been in too much of a hurry. Rarely have we kept the ball for eight or nine passes. On the plus side, Terry has put his end of season poor form well and truely behind him.

you sound bitter about something Fact is anyway, it isn't the public sector workers who caused the current situation, so why should they pay a price, but I suppose that won't matter to your opinion ..... Fact is while there is a budget deficit, the public sector needs to be cut. Why is this the only way ? exactly, what about the corporation tax, what about income tax, what about levies on caviar? That's a lot of caviar to cover £170 billion.

I read something about this the other week - they've tied in a contracted out agency type service with forcing people to prove they are looking for jobs. It does seem that anecdotally, the staff are not the best. I can't see how an external agency can do it better than the internal one. The employment issue stems from the lack of good jobs. So the key is to reward low income workers so there's a financial incentive to take a sh*t job.

Totally agree with this. Pretty much always been the case though. I honestly thought people went to the job center to sign-on, not to look for jobs. Until the governemt bring in a law to say all jobs must go through the job centre, it should really be renamed the dole centre.

Aye it's a brilliant move, 'don't worry guys, we're not increasing NI contributions, but we are going to increase the price of most of what you buy by 2.1%', cheers Gideon. 2.1% rise says it all really. Sorry, have you got a more accurate figure? Think about what I said. 20 - 17.5 = 2.1 Oh dear, let me explain it to you in terms you might understand. If you buy £100 of sweets exc. VAT at 17.5% you pay £117.50 Now, if you buy £100 of sweets exc. VAT under the Tories you pay £120 Now, be a good lad and tell me by how much has the price of your sweeties increased? 2.5% ...and how much did you say?

...and a £250 rise per year for those below. Its nice to see the back of Labour and have sensible government in charge. Like increasing VAT to 20%? Fucking mongs. Maybe if Super Gord didn't drop it to 15%, the hike wouldn't be needed. Cheap stunt to win stupid peoles votes, who did you vote for? Moreover, an increase in VAT is tax on non-essential spending, so its a million times better than Labours proposed on increase national insurance - a direct tax to everyone over £21k.

A chairmans job is to run the club responsibly not take risks. While i've never slagged them off for signing Owen as it was a risk worth taking. The terms he was given were irresponsible (105k wages with a 9m get out clause) and the only reason the get out clause wasn't exersized was because he was either crocked or cack.

Try disabling Avast, if it speeds you system try a non sh*t AV. If its not avast you will need to stop some of the naff programs you have from running all the time in the background. Goto > start > run/search and type "msconfig" > on Services Tab check hide Microsoft services and untick the programs you dont use, and on the Startup tab untick the programs you dont use. > Then click OK and reboot. Anything you disable can be re-enabled via the msconfig utility.

plusnet, utorrent. Try enabling encryption > Options > Preferences > BitTorrent > Protocol Encryption Outgoing (enabled or forced), i think you need to reset the uTorrent for it to apply.

Which ISP and P2P application do you use?

Balls has no chance, he only just won his seat. Labour 18,365 vs. 17,264 Tory.

Yes, so even if the coalition dissolves, no-one can vote out the resultant Conservative government, even though it would be a minority government. Such a government would be paralysed, as it would struggle to pass any legislation, but at the same time it couldn't be voted out either - so it would be a so-called Zombie government. This isn't a mundane point, it's fundamentally unconstitutional and wrong, and does not serve the interests of our country. The fact that the ConDems have even thought about bringing this in should be of concern no matter what your political affiliation is. I have a different understanding of the intended purpose of no confidence vote. I thought its intention is to empower the governing party members to decide if the party needs removing. Seems daft to give the opposition that power. Setting it any lower than 55% would enable the Lib Dems to black mail their policies through.
