Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Phil replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Pardew has mentioned in every interview that I've seen that he wants to develop the youth system. This sounds too much like the famous no capital outlay "Arsenal Model" mooted when Wise brought in Ranger, Zamblera etc... I'd imagine Pardew is one of a few managers who would agree to work with it.- 10610 replies

That's lazy journalism on the back of Willie Mckay saying the club had turned down an initial offer from West Ham. http://www.teamtalk.com/newcastle-united/6...mmitted-to-Toon

What sort of reception will Pardew get tomorrow
Phil replied to Holden McGroin's topic in Newcastle Forum
I don't blame the guy for taking the job. I'll judge him on how he performs. -
Their aim is "Fans In" as apose to "Ashley Out" so they're petrified to the very core of upsetting the shitehawks in charge. I cant quite recall the time when the members decided they didnt want the FCC out of the club. I slightly remember about "Fans In" but the aim of the membership base has always been Ashley Out. This is why I never joined. The aim should have always been about improving communication with the club, so would have an official voice.

I'm saying he has a point LM, you tried to patronise me like I normally let you, but in this instance I can see you know nothing about Company law vis a vie the stock market and legal imlications thereof. So move away bro. Where the fuck did that come from like? Sounds more like feelings of inadequacy than me patronising you. Sorry if you feel that way though, genuinely. I won't respond to your point about the stock market for fear of patronising you further. YOU do come across as a know it all in these types of threads isn't it? So, are we to discuss the ratings system (analysts say for arguments sake S&P) used by the stock market vis a vie the appointment of independant chairman (especially if there is an odd number of directors) or not? Didn't think so. So are you saying you agree with LM, that Fatty One gets off scot free with all the f**k ups because he didn't own the company entirely, or are you saying he is 30% to blame. I blame him 100%, because he was hands on. And must have either brought issues to the board or not defended his actions.

Fatty One says he'd have sacked Hughton? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...d.html?ITO=1490

Even if that were true, it's basically making someone an offer you know they won't accept anyway, i.e. just for appearances sake. A short term deal sound like something he would try and pull. A bit like when you buy a used car. I know it's clutching at straw, but we can't have sunk Pardew low.

interesting to hear Sir John Hall talking on TV about the appointments "we" made who spout off on television these days. Wonder who he is talking about ? How many hundreds of times does this need to be said. SHEPHERD WAS NEVER THE MAJORITY SHAREHOLDER AND COULD NOT HAVE MADE ANY APPOINTMENTS WITHOUT AGREEMENT AND CONSULATION WITH THE MAJORITY SHAREHOLDERS. This has been confirmed by Dogless who issued a press statement at the time saying that "we" thought Bobby Robson has lost the plot etc etc [word to that effect]. People will never make good judgements while they let personal feelings, or listen to total crap spouted in CIU clubs etc no nowts to influence their judgements. Dear fuckin Christ. ...... no wonder people laugh at us. Does this mean Fatty One should get none of the plaudits of that regime?

Terry Venables

Initially I thought this was a stunt to avoid spending money in January. But, if this was the case, he'd have done it in January. Our next games are Liverpool, Birmingham (away), Man-city and Tottenham, so if the post about forecasting results is true - the timing interesting. None of this suggests it was well planned, but I guess what I'm trying to say it we have to wait to see which manager is brought in and who arrives in January.
-
Who he brings in will ultimately be the deciding factor.

Friend of mine from uni reckons Jol will go to Fulham and Hughes to Newcastle.... still better than Pardue

Who do you want as the next manager of NUFC?
Phil replied to Anorthernsoul's topic in Newcastle Forum
Owen Coyle would be my first choice. He's transformed both Burnley and Bolton. Bolton may consider it if the compensation was good enough. I've put money on Coyle (30/1), Venables (500/1) and Curbishley (200/1). he's now at a bigger club ie Bolton. I'd be massively shocked if he came here now. Not sure what makes them a bigger club. But they are £93m in debt and there has been lots of talk about them selling Elmander and Cahill if a good offer came in. Only Gartside would know if Coyle has a price, but i would say he's worth what ever it is. -

It's true.... http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20101206/un...2281670_2237950 Utter madness...!!!!

I doubt there will be better in the January window.

I thought he looked overweight and being paired up with another non creative midfielder didn't help. It meant we had a massive gap between midfield and the forwards. He's only on 5k and is young(ish), so is fine for squad cover. He's behind Baron, Tiote, Nolan and Gosling in the pecking order.
-
Sholla did nothing worse than Carroll today. Neither chased or harried. I'm not sure if the issue lies with them or the massive gap between midfield and forwards. Personally I can't stand lazy players and he's as lazy as they come, but calling him a disgrace is going a bit far.

Not sure what game you were watching, but I thought he was the best player on the pitch. Tiote likes to play the simple ball, I've never seen him lump it forward. So when he has no options he's not being "found out", but let down by his team mates.
