Now I'm not restricted to my phone..the point... British Debt History You really have to marvel, given that historical record, at the deficit panic now so widespread. Here’s debt as a percentage of GDP in Britain, back to 1830. That uptick at the end — you’ll see it if you squint — is what’s driving the Cameron government’s insistence on slashing spending in a liquidity trap. It’s also interesting to note — contrary to what you often hear — that at the time Keynes was writing, and calling for fiscal stimulus, Britain was substantially deeper in debt than Britain or the United States are now. And more than it was in the 70's when the IMF nearly declared Britain bankrupt? I think what he's saying is, why worry - we had it worse after two world wars.

Why should anyone be exempt from the assessment?

Mine went up on Monday.

Perch was at fault because he allowed Drogba to have a free (unchallenged) header inside the six yard box. ..and in case you missed it, most of the players thought it was our throw-in. So you can forgive a midfielder trying to lose his man, only to be caught out of position.

Perch was at fault for the first goal, but other than that I thought he did alright against. Him and Williamson (if fit) are probably our only option.

3:40... Barton reckons Hughton was given the boot because the players couldnt agree a bonus sheet!

He clearly has an 'us' vs 'them' mentality. We all know Llambias is a lying twat and can't be trusted, but players hire agents, so its a bit rich to take any higher ground on any discussions. Take the bonus issue. Llambias took the stance based on our wage bill that avoiding relegation wasn't an achievement, so only offered a small amount for the bottom half of the table. Barton rallied the troops in a futile attempt to change Llambias's mind. Barton is Gene Clark of Newcastle.

Poor joey, the club wanted him to take lower wages of leave. Boo f**king hoo. The club should have sacked him an FA rule loophole is not UK law. Always the victim. Barton's a c**t, we are well rid. Giving him away for free may have been the best business in the last transfer window.

lol. I wonder if lukaku will get a post match suspension as technically the ref didnt spot it.

If they are all at home use HomeGroup USB pen drive is another option.

There is still no chance that he would have paid out that sort of money to the other staff. Despite what a journo says. And I also do not believe that the players eased off to spite him. This years bonuses were paid in advance, so maybe he's not the grinch you've painted in your head. link

Fair point, he's scored a lot more than I'd thought.

He's a good player. But similar to Van Der Vaart and Arshavin, he isn't defensively good enough for midfield and isn't clinical enough upfront. Them type of players do alright if they play in a 5 man midfield, or if they play off a striker who can make up for their lack of goals.

What do you realistically want to change? replacement, more time?

Pardew - two players max to come in during the January window

7th was massively over achievement due to a late run of form. The rot is in the decision making process behind the scenes. For example in 15 years not one single manager had an exit clause put into his contract. Beggars belief given how often they were changed. -
Can you see the wifi network (or any others)? If not, reboot, if that doesnt work re-install the driver.

I just use bluetooth speakers with mobiles.

How worried are you by the eurozone sovereign debt crisis?
Phil replied to Dr Gloom's topic in General Chat
Exactly. A few subjective policies are the real issue. Never mind Super Gordon's qualitative easing. -
The whole fans vs the club stance is why NUST was always going to fail. While it wouldn't go down well in one of these lynch mob meetings - we should really be looking how we can build on the positive steps the club has taken and look to see if they can be more regular/improved. Like the Q&A, half price season tickets, Pardew/Llambias interviews. Sure these pale in comparison to the negatives, but the club simple isnt going to discuss a decision that has already been made.

So he'll happily rename the ground, but not take money out!?

plus a 50m mortgage and 36m owed in player installments. So the total cost was 290m (ish). With a running costs loss of 30m.

Llambias - "we will need replacements in the summer"
Phil replied to Monroe Transfer's topic in Newcastle Forum
I wouldnt read too much into it. We'll sell anyone if a decent offer comes in and there are quite a few contract up/down to one year. i know Simpson's talks have broken down, so he'll be on that list. -
The name change doesnt sit easy with me. I would reluctantly accept it as a sign of the times if I had any trust for the motives. Two things that stand out. 1. The next shirt sponsor will definitely be Sports Direct for at least two years as they "try" and build a brand they can sell. 2. The new name include Arena, does this mean he's gonna try and host gigs? Of course only to advertise the brand he's "trying" to sell.
