Young people who think they know everything. There is nothing more annoying than snotty kids who dont understand what happens to your body and mind when you get old. they should all be whipped. Haha, what can I say? My dad used to play Premier Manager 97 and he took over Newcastle. His star player was Alan Shearer and I just really liked the name Newcastle (cause I thought there was a New-Castle up there ) Stuck with them ever since I suppose. I'm a sucker for a "thank you" when someone truly means it. Not like the "thank you" for holding the door open but like when you've truly put effort into it. It's mostly when I've had long talks with someone. I had a talk with my mates brother about how to approach school now that he's just about to start Year 10 and he has no idea what options to take etc. Hard for him cause his brother is always busy, parents are quite neglectful and whatnot so he doesn't really have a chance to talk to anyone. Then my mate had an argument with his parents and walked out of his house and texted me to see if I wanted to come out and talk. He knew I had work to do but I tend to put my friendships before everything and I just chilled with him for a few hours and had a good talk. There's loads more times but the look on their faces when they say thank you shows they truly appreciate it. Just shows how a little politeness can go far. [/gay]

My other team is the MK Dons Dad's been living there for the last 5 years or so and I've been to see many of their matches including the JPT final last season. Missed out on the playoff final with a penalty shootout loss to Scunthorpe. Shame really, would have loved to see Toon v MK Dons.

It doesn't matter if you're the world's best player, if you don't put the effort in, it's useless. I'd much rather have untried Ben Tozer in the side rather than Argentine World Cup player Coloccini in it purely because I know that Tozer would go all in for those tackles and want to do well for the team while Coloccini will just sit there for 90 minutes as long as he gets his paycheck.

He looks like he's gonna be staying and, should Bassong leave, 3/4 of our defence from last season staying would be a great boost. It'll be hard for a new defender to come in and form a solid partnership with Taylor & Beye straight away.

Certainly wouldn't turn it down but definitley can't think of a club who would pay that sort of money for a player when he's not worth it. Oh hang on, City. Perfect.

Aye, if you consider our record sale is Jonathan Woodgate to Real for £13.4million, I doubt we'll get £15mill for Bassong when we're a championship club and he's probably aching to leave. Although with £16million for Darren Bent, anything is possible I suppose.

There's no need for 'talks'. It's one talk, Ashley should say "yes we want you to stay on, this is what we're offering you, yes or no." If Shearer disagrees, they can compromise. A day tops. One week is just crazy. If only football was like that though

Kyle Naughton - Sheff Utd - RB - £6million apparantly, Papers say the Blades rejected a £2million offer from Villa and are holding out for £6million but I'm sure he'll be cheaper than that Danny Fox - Coventry - LB - Would only cost a couple of mill and would jump at the chance of joining us I'd imagine. Jordi Gomez - Espanyol - CM - Spent last season on loan at Swansea, it's been quoted £3million would take him away from them, not bad, would add some creativity to the midfield for sure. Fabien Delph - Leeds - CM - Would cost a fair bit but what a prospect, really like this guy, can only get better. James McCarthy - Hamilton - CM - If we can snatch him away from the other clubs, it'll be like a mini coup, would be a great signing. Simon Cox - Swindon - ST - Scored a crazy amount of goals last season, young, has a good finish on him and wouldn't be that expensive. Jermaine Beckford - Leeds - ST - On the list, quite prolific, would definitley join us and they look like they wanna cash in on him. Joe Mattock - Leicester - LB - Would be harder to get now that they've been promoted but looks a canny youngster. Andrew Surman - Southampton - CM - Looks really good, has a good strike on him, nice creativity and he's still young, would be an excellent signing. Adam Lallana - Southampton - CM - Haven't seen this guy play but from what I've heard, one of Southampton's bright prospects. George Boyd/Craig Mackail Smith/Aaron McLean - Peterbrough - LM/ST/ST - Trio from Peterbrough, granted it's going to be hard to get all three of them, especially now they've been promoted but I think we should really try and get them, particually Boyd and Mackail-Smith. Medy Elito - Colchester - RM - Haven't seen this lad in action but from what I've heard, he's 19 and he's getting raving reviews, was linked with us last year I think. Kris Boyd - Rangers - ST - Just because I like Rangers and he seems to be prolific up there yet still out of favour. Although I've heard he's not as good as his goals suggest. The only positions I have no idea about are the wingers and the centre halfs but I'd be glad with a few of those out that list.
