First - I think he's magical and I reckon we should wrap him in cotton wool like Barca do with Messi. Love seeing him play in black and white. But....how much can we take of the injuries before enough is enough? 15 appearances this season - not good enough. We need a consistent winger fit for most games, and I wish/hope it's him.

One thing comes into question though - are these players good enough to be playing European football? Because if they are, they should be performing a lot better than they are. Tonight, there were 7-8 internationals in our side, and only Krul showed a glimpse of that. When you hear that Tiote/Cabaye/Santon/Krul are all wanted by other clubs, only Krul would be massively missed based on recent performances. The rest really need to up the anti and pull together.

I was waiting for someone to have a crack at Pardew. For once - not his fault at all! The tactics in place first half we perfect, should have been 2-0 but as soon as they scored, heads went down for some reason. Second half - the tactics may have been slightly more cautious, but Pards didn't pass that ball back, nor stick an arm out. Also have to take into consideration we're away from home, and have an away goal. No manager is going to send out a squad like ours to attack unnecessarily. I fully believe we can win 2-0 at home. Everyone in that stadium though has to sing for 90 minutes to get the players up for it.

It's their heads man! Seen it in the prem too! Tactics looked spot on up until they scored and all of a sudden, heads went down. Marveaux needs to run at players - disappeared. Cabaye needs to lead - and get yelling at players, motivate them. I'm really hoping Pardew gets them back in the mind-set, because this game could be won. Could also be perfect for Campbell with his speed, to run at the back line.

2-1 to us. Reckon we'll see our best performance of the season tonight.

You have a point, one I understand. But I also believe these are supposed to be professional footballers, earning crazy money each week. We're in a dog-fight in the league and we've a tough quarter final with Benfica. If I were a player there, I'd have so much more confidence if he was there (like a captain should be), keeping everyone bonded. How would you feel if you came off the back of the Wigan loss, everything happening to Haidara, now trying to re-group for Citae and Benfica, and there's videos of your club captain singing/chanting away and having fun.

I'll be pissed if he replaces either Taylor or Mapou. He should be here leading the team behind the scenes, not swanning around Argentina.
