  1. Carrys on like this, he's gonna earn GOD status lol Inter didnt have that much to spend, very good players but average compared to other teams in CL. Worked wonders. Think CH should plan a heist of Mourinho's notebook
  2. Today these are been claimed to be our kits for next season. Newsnow have an article claiming these have been leaked over the internet. Imo load of bullshit. Crap kits, look fake, and don't particularly like them.
  3. Shit topic! WHERE does it state theres no money for transfers??!!
  4. Think everyone needs to take a step back from what was said in that statement and breathe!! I think there will be players bought in the summer for sure. The 5 year plan obviously means Ashley stays. He can't afford for the club to be relegated again and knows signings must be made. And they will. What it meant was he isn't going to inject MORE of his own cash in. It doesn't stop us using part of the 60+ million that are gained throughout a premier league season. This is blown way out of proportion, and until the final day of the transfer window, everything said is just speculation. So let's just wait and see.
  5. Won't happen. Enrique is better anyway. Kamara this morning said on goals on Sunday that he reckons Enrique is one of the best LB in the country
  6. Apparently offer on table at Roma for Arne Riise. Be. Quality signing tbh. Pressure on Enrique for LB, cud be cover too for LM. Good older player for him to learn off too
  7. however. in black and white the one on the right wouldn't look to bad to me you wouldnt be able to see the crotchless pits either in our colourscheme It'd look fucking brilliant. Black and white stripes and no fancy shit on the shoulders. Yes please erm.... no. Horrible kit.
  8. Imagine coloccini and Puyol in our defense... the hair alone would put the fear into strikers can you imagine if coloccini plays like he did this season with puyol next to him? REALLY not gonna happen but would be pretty special.
  9. Don't like it. Quite looking forward to something new and a bit different
  10. which gossip pages? "insane weekly"? Quite a few articles have appeared throughout the day. Seems v unlikely though as I dont think we can afford Puyol's wages and also we dont have european football. Again like Vuckic, we should keep him if he's deemed that good
  11. " http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2010...-united-starlet " I've kept tabs on this lad since his rumoured and then move to us. imo probably the most impressive young player we have at the club. Scores goals and brings something different that at present we don't have in our 1st team. Now if Man Utd want the lad, we need to do everything possible to keep him, which will include rejecting an offer that apparently will be "too good to refuse". If the lad is that good, then we should keep him, otherwise we're going to get nowhere. Unless the offer is 20 mil plus with future incentives then tell them to stick it. What do you think?
  12. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/ap...e-chris-hughton ''Mike Ashley, the Newcastle United owner, is willing to sanction a summer spending spree to ensure survival in the Premier League, despite his reluctance to return to the club's high-spending past. Ashley has invested £25m this season to help balance the books of a business that is losing £500,000 a week while in the Championship. However, the billionaire – who is not expected to put the club back up for sale in the summer, after two failed attempts to sell – will stress the need to be prudent to the manager, Chris Hughton. Club officials estimate that promotion will increase Newcastle's income by around £50m or possibly as much as £60m, depending on attendances at St James' Park. Only around half of that will be used for player recruitment. The rest is needed to help restructure the club's finances after a testing 12 months and it is understood Ashley will take back some of the money he has loaned Newcastle this year. Ashley and the club's managing director, Derek Llambias, believe £20m to £25m is a healthy budget for a club looking to consolidate its Premier League position. "Prudent ambition" is the current key phrase at St James' Park, even while the city celebrates the return of top-flight football and survival will be the objective from August. Hughton feels he has the core of a squad which can compete in the Premier League but he will look to improve it where he can. While too good for the Championship, Newcastle still look like they will be vulnerable at the highest level and Hughton is keen to strengthen in defence as well as sign a proven goalscorer, which is where the majority of the transfer war chest will be spent. The sale of players is anticipated, but Hughton has the full backing of Ashley and will continue as manager next season, a challenge "he has more than earned the right to have a crack at", according to the goalkeeper Steve Harper. "It's going to be an interesting summer because there will be changes," Newcastle's Argentina international Jonas Gutiérrez said. "We have gone up with five games to go and I'm sure the manager and the owner will talk about what needs to be done in the summer and where the squad needs to be strengthened. "Some players will leave, some will come in. The important thing is we have the time to make sure the right decisions are made. I want to stay. I'd like to play for a lot of years here at Newcastle. I love this club." For Harper, Newcastle's longest serving player, the main emotion following promotion is relief that the scars of relegation can start to heal. He said: "The memories from Villa Park last May when we were relegated are still pretty vivid, but this more than makes up for it. Last year was desperately disappointing but we're back up now. The mental scars are still there, of course. I'll never forget that, it's something as a player you can never forget. It's a motivation, I'm sure there's a lot of players in the dressing room who have used it as that to achieve what we have." Newcastle secured promotion before their win against Sheffield United on Easter Monday and have switched their attention to winning the Championship title. They are six points clear of West Bromwich Albion with a game in hand, with five matches left to play.'' What are your thoughts? When I read 'spending spree' I assumed 40-50 mil, but will 20-25 mill do the trick?
  13. Hope we're promoted before ko, will be big score if we do. Also find it funny that nust's buyout plans could be shattered in the next hour.
  14. hmmm well you now know wher screen-name came from. oopsi
  15. I read someone's comment on the chronicle site that Disney are planning to put a bid forward as soon as we gain automatic promotion. Anyone validate? or a load of bull?
  16. Having to drive down, they want £109 return from York for two of us, but won't reserve two seats. Daylight fricking robbery. I see a big win here, and promotion.
  17. Check him out on youtube. loll Some great finishes. Free? Why not, cant be worse than Best!
  18. Mark Hughes still unemployed. Would you like to see him at SJP in the summer leading us into the prem instead of Chris Hughton? Personally, I would. Be a good choice imo
  19. lmFao. Emphasis on 'F'. I want to be back in the PL as much as everyone else. But it is disgusting the way that Taylor's been treated. I love the way opinions change amongst the fans soooo quickly. Taylor has been a solid player for us for the past few years, showed faith, loyalty, especially in the summer. No-ones had a bad word to say against him. Now this has happened, and Carroll happens to be scoring loads in the fizzy pop league (which he wont do next year), and everyone backs the long haired prick and now starts the anti-taylor chat. "Oh, I never liked him" etc. Well first time these kind of comments have come out. People need to open their eyes, Carroll NEEDS to go in the summer, and I hope thats part of Chris Hughtons plan. Keep him sweet and scoring. once promoted, sell him. Please Chris, make the right choice!!
  20. I really can't believe what am reading on this forum lately. All i seem to see is a lot of hypocrites. Barton got so much grief when his 'rocky' moments happened, some calling for NUFC to get rid of him. The boo's, the talk on forums etc And now its Carroll's turn by twating Saylor and breaking his jaw? You's should all be behind Saylor and be giving Carroll shit, not backing him. It seems we're the laughing stock of the nation. Riera expresses his opinion on Liverpool and is transfer listed immediately. Carrol smacks Saylor and keeps him out for the rest of the season, and people are glad he starts? Some need to sort themselves out. I honestly hope someone crunches Carroll tonight and ends his career, because personally I dont want him at the club. And for those who think they'd rather have Carroll over Saylor? I think some have been blinded by top spot and success and forgotten that we're in the fizzy pop league. Well that makes you as bad as Carroll then, and while we're at it, wheres the other self righteous brother tonight? And if your such an expert on this, what was Carroll doing at the training ground on Sunday, less than 12 hours after playing in Bristol?....something doesnt add up about this, and I think that is why Carroll is playing tonight. rightly or wrongly, football is a different world to the one the rest of us inhabit....or hadnt you noticed?.... right and wrong still applys though mate, and if he has, he should be shown the door.

Big managers can handle difficult players, but breaking a teammate's jaw is a step too far. I don't care whether he's called Carroll or Barton or whether it's a Geordie or a Scouser. Sell the cunt, end of the story. Thanks, i'm glad someone feels the same

  23. This is pretty bad. Carroll has to be sold now in the summer. It could turn out that we are gonna lose one of them. And soon rather seen Carroll walk the walk than Saylor. Carrolls a Barton/Bellamy mix that I think we should get shot of. tbh goals are worth this much
  24. They could drop Best and bring in Barton into the midfield. Am hoping he comes out playing great, because barton on form with guthrie would be ace
  25. For some reason, against what a lot say and believe about Barton, I think he's an asset to the club. When fit, his vision in the centre of the park is best bar none, and a guthrie/barton combination is a certainty. As for talk about it going to be hard for him to break into the team with smitty/nolan/gutrie/butt, for me guthrie is one of the first names on the team sheet, and barton will walk past nolan/smitty/butt. nolan is like a ghost in the centre, butt is passed his sell by date and smith is hit and miss.
