  2. Not happening anymore. Demanded too much money in wages. Confirmed by CH apparently.
  3. So next run of games: wolves (3pts), blackpool (3pts), Everton (1pt-3pt)), Stoke (1pt) I can honestly see us carrying momentum from this match and winning our next four before we play man city. That would be amazing, 6 games in - 15 points. Not the hardest of opposition, Everton have struggled to perform in their first two, Stoke have lost both their games. Not out of the question. Would love to remain in the top half of the table :-D
  4. Don't want to jinks it, but said after the game that if he keeps going the way he is, he could be with us for years to come and end up one of the bigger managers in the prem.
  5. Xisco with an assist. Thank you! are you picking the players at random? cos I got a SHOCKING choice. first come first serve shud be able to choose

Robbie Savage, is a wanker, is a wanker. Haha saw he was on and grinned after he wrote us off. Eat your words
  7. I'm in. Can I choose who I get?
  8. Injuries play in our favour. Agbonlahor, Sidwell, Collins, Cuellar all out injured. Carew pushing back into fold from injury but still unsure.
  9. Why do we need another defensive midfielder? surely we should be more worried about the creativity and where the goals are going to come from. waste of time in my opinion. £3 mil that would be better spent elsewhere.
  10. we don't really need to though do we? if harper was on his last legs, it might be worth it. i think he's got a bit to offer just yet. plus he's an experienced keeper, which is a good thing to have in a relegation battle. are we in a relegation battle?
  11. granted, but he sees fletcher turn and he doesn't even drop. No reaction. Just wonder whether he's slowing up. First was well put away but again his reactions were slow
  12. He isn't vocal enough either, he should be yelling at his back line, Given - esque.
  13. Just watching the match again, and feel that all three goals could have been prevented by harper. The first two goals, his reactions look very slow. And the third, he had enough time to take a step then dive. Made some good saves too, but can't help but feel like he could of done a lot more.
  14. We need a creative player in the center of midfield, or to play instead of Nolan behind striker when 451. Carroll wins a lot of the ball, but playing direct doesn't work with a lone striker. I really worry that he cannot provide us with the goals we need this season. Definately need a new striker. I just think that when we play 451, we shud have a pacey striker instead and play to feet and along the deck. Carroll will work when 442, and there's someone running onto it. Ben Arfa will be perfect to come in for Nolan, bringing creativity. Barton/smith/Nolan all have similar traits, in that tonight they stuck the challeges in, got behind the ball. But all lack the attacking mentality on the break.
  15. I get the impression that's what a lot of people on here reckon too tbf. I don't believe he was a Judas, but I wouldn't welcome him back. I understand what he gave to us over the years, but if he loved the club as much as thought, he should of tried to save us and them moved in the summer. I also believe that season, there were egos in the locker room that were not good for nufc, and it does make me wonder if he were one.
  16. Skysports website has a differeent lineup, with no routledge,
  17. Unless Jonas is going to be playing at the back. Would like to see 6 in the middle though. Fucking hell you bozzos, it's Ryan, not Saylor! Makes even less sense tbh. That would be a 3 at the back including 2 full-backs, if you can call Ryan Taylor a full-back. True but it was more a reaction to the "an injured defender" presumption. Like paws I'll be pissed if Jose is out, as he's in my FF team as well. tbh, gonna be so pissed if that's the starting 11. Where's enrique, routledge, williamson? They can't be all injured. Ffs, don't have a prob with 451 formation if there's some degree of pace and creativity. Smith in? On ya bike son. With only jonas with pace, this is going to be embarrassing
  18. more chance of harper scoring than smith
  19. Just seen our allocation for this game was only 1800. That seems quite low tbh, but then again, if you worked at old Trafford and it was up to you, would you really want thousands of toon supporters singing the roof off on their return to the prem? Haha we'll still raise the room off, no worries about that
  20. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premie...o-quit-football 'Let me go to Newcastle United or I quit football!"
  21. More updates on this saga. In l'equipe, Ben Arfa's agent has spoken that it was L'OM that told him that he was to find another club, and that it was through the club that Newcastle were found to be interested. Then Ben Arfa decided this was the move for him. Against what CH and L'OM president, a fee for the loan was agreed, with the option to buy, then just left for Ben Arfa to say yes and that it was done. It is the president who is now telling lies about a deal not been agreed and who has decided against it all. Hence the reaction from the player.
  22. I like 'if you want something done properly, do it yourself' attitude lol Can he seriously be that passionate about playing in black and white? or is it to showcase his talents in the prem? Cant remember the last time someone wanted to join us THIS much
  23. Sky sports news covering it, confirming that it was Ben Arfa at Newcastle airport, turned up this morning at St James Park unannounced trying to negotiate a deal. But CH has told him that he will not discuss with him until L'OM give them permission to. L'OM have absolutely no choice in the matter. They've been put in a position that they have to seriously consider letting him go. I like this bloke a little more each day, in the fact that he's so focused on a move to Newcastle that he's risked a hell of a lot to turn up out of the blue. CH get him in.
  24. In a way, the lying to the press is a good thing. It means that he can do his business without fuss, pressure or competition. And look at it this way, if Man Utd were to reveal who they were after all the time, everyone would fly in there and try and sign them too.
