Talk Sport is reporting that Danny Simpson is going to get a shock call-up to the England squad to play France. States that Capello was impressed with him keeping Nasri at bay and that he could be back-up for Glen Johnson. So is he better than we think he is?

29,384 Cheers. I reckon we'll see Perch at left back as Ferguson(a winger) getting raped by Walcott for 90minutes mightn't be great for his development. If Ricky/Jonas/Carroll get injured, we're fucked-I also reckon he wants to give Smith, Raylor, Ranger a bit more playing time. On previous showings I'd rather have Ferguson as the winger as he might stand a chance of catching him. From what i've seen of Ferguson, he looks more than capable of dealing with Walcott and just needs the chance to prove his worth. I think he'll start and will shine. Looked a hot prospect against Chelski, made Zhirkov look pathetic. Great for him to perform and put Enrique under pressure.

Am sure I read somewhere that Beardsley was pleasantly suprised on how much better Simpson is looking from last season. Give the lad a chance like, he's just back from injury and goes straight into the side. Perch unfortunately doesn't look good enough. Only time will tell though. They are still both two young players who could certainly turn round and suprise us. Wouldn't it be an idea to look at trying to convert Kadar to CB/RB instead of CB/LB? Because I really want him to get games.

Had a crazy thought earlier, what about giving Smudger a shot up front with Shola? Could be worth a shot.
