  1. Routledge is finding his feet though recently
  2. Just seen this on SSN. If both were willing to take pay-cuts to a reasonable level, would definately be playing week in/week out. I think both would have a great impact on the side. Hoping that this MAY be a hush hush deal and want to be suprised. One can only hope I guess
  3. If Jose Enrique is available then I feel we have a real shout. If not, then am afraid I can see us losing. With Enrique on the field, we do play more to the feet than when he's absent. The main attack is down the left, a few passes with Jonas and trys to push forward. If he's away, its play the long ball as there is no real attacking threat from the wings. However, I think he will play and think it will be 5-2 newcastle
  4. Can play on the right side of midfield. So if he has a good cross on him, could be interesting to move Barton inside and get Gosling out there. Am looking forward to seeing him in action.
  5. Wikipedia has it that he's already made the switch
  6. Not NUFC related so apologies. Miller to Birmingham? Kenny Miller's seen more football clubs than Tommy Sheridan has swingers clubs.
  7. "I wish I could fucking score. Sack it, any holes a goal."
  8. Think we have two potential partnerships for different games. Because Loven/Best were shit hot together. Im not suggesting dropping Carroll at all, but they do compliment each other and loven was so good last night
  9. i would have thought they would change it for tv. still time. they usually televise both derby clashes
  10. Best way for us to qualify would be through the FA cup. We always seem to be so unlucky in the cup draws, but IF we get a good draw for the majority of rounds (aka avoiding prem teams), its possible. Also because we wouldnt necessarily need to win the cup to get into Europe. If we make it to the semis/final, and the other teams are in the european spots in the league, we get it by default. fingers crossed
  11. Is this why Pardew won't sell him? hahahaha would love it for him to get a hat-trick
  12. none working for me. Anyone got a link to audio commentary? is the nufc live commentary working?
  13. Don't shoot the messenger. Jeez. We got talking, and wasn't supposed to know any of this. But thought I'd share with you's.
  14. Bollocks. Geordies cant ski. I didnt say I could, said I was away. Am the bloke who rolls down
  15. Just had an interesting encounter. Away in France skiing and just had a drink with a man who is an agent and represents couple of players in prem and abroad. And he's heard on the grapevine that NUFC are to make a MASSIVE cash youth signing from abroad in January. More money for Pardew than we think.
  16. No Carroll. I think Ameobi is fit again, I would go with: Krul, Simspon, Saylor, Colo, Enrique, Barton, Nolan, Tiote, Routledge, Lovenkrands, Ameobi Routledge has a reasonable couple of matches, I would keep him in. 3 nil to us.
  17. Funny this, how negative most of you are. Nice to know some agree to an extent. Taylor is much better than williamson. Period. And for all your theories on Barfa, your loonier than me, which is very hard to do. Tie the lad down so he's ours. Sooner means he doesn't leave. I know exactly what you bunch will be writing in a years time if he's successful. 'i knew he would blah blah fucking blah'.
  18. He hasn't been with us long, and the results haven't been the best but what could we expect when he's adopted someone elses squad. I like the honesty with him, how he comes and tells us what he's thinking. Eg. Twitter posts, am sure CH wouldn't have mentioned it to the press. Also how he feels we need to add some quality to our side in the final third. We've known this for some while and finally it will be dealt with. But I'm most impressed that he recognises that we need more pace. We've lacked it since oba, milner, nzog left. We need pace alongside Carroll and ithink he knows this. He's tied Taylor down, which pleases me. Also few things out today stating Barfa will be signed next week. If this happens, will def be celebrating at th pub! CH told us that he didn't feel he needed to improve the squad in Jan, but its obviously we do and Pardew tells us this.
  19. Gubbed the booky at the stadium of £1050. He was not impressed, didn't like the jokes was making.
  20. Was gutted. I said up in the car to my dad that Krul looks to be a liability and times and his kicking is sooooo bad. And look what happened. He could of kicked it anywhere, back heeled it for a bloody corner. Ridiculous. Get Harper back in, Forster back and get Krul out on loan. Its not like its been one game either, his kicking has been iffy for a while and flaps at things. Jonas too is looking poor. His work-rate is very poor and the guy behind us today agreed too from his shouting. I honestly think we should thank him and and sell, or keep him as back-up. Ben Arfa will have that spot anyway. Only bright side is got the rapped the booky at the stadium for £1050. thank you!!!
  21. I think the report is true about selling Barton but not to trim wages or for funds. I have a sneaky feeling that he doesn't want to be here anymore after Hughton's sacking. Every other player thats had rumours going around have stood up and reinforced the fact they want to stay at NUFC. But Barton didn't and I think he's not happy at the club anymore. If this is the case, then two fingers and fuck off! We've stood by him through everything, revived his career and stuck up for him. And as soon as he is playing close to his potential, he wants to leave?
  22. Hahahahaha you might as well get on your knees now son and take a load in the face. FML this is why going into the fake ticket business is a good idea, cos some muppet thinks its ace!
  23. How do you get your picture to show underneath your screen-name?
  24. Jonas has been average so far. Seems to have lost his will to take the man on. And when he passes, he just stands there. Just started to notice this recently. His work rate is no better than others. Defending is shocking, and will give up the chase when backtracking. He's definitely been poor recently and I agree he's not wanting to take men on at the minute. Personally I think his confidence looks shot. I still think we're a far better proposition with him in the team though. So is his work rate poor or no better than anyone else? It's far superior to Routledge for example or if compare him to other wingers we've had such as Robert, Nobby or Ginola he's way better. Tbh this is the first time I've ever heard anyone question his work rate. His delivery certainly but not work rate. I believe in the pressure game. If your chasing a man back, then you should keep on his heels until he moves the ball on. Best example was tonight if you watched Real Madrid. Think it may have been Fabiano who beat the line and went one on one. But the defender kept on his heels and he blew it over the bar. I think Jonas gives up too easily. At times looks defeatist
