What about http://www.fanatix.com/news/liverpool-clos...h-defender-620/ never heard of this one before

Damn, you've ruined it now. Was going to reply to myself again. You know when you've gone completely Looney when you don't just talk to yourself, but talk to yourself and your own comments on a forum board

Scrap that, target the population (not all, but those who are guilty of it). Because from what I have seen and heard, the Scottish hate us English so much, yet I have no clue where it comes from because in general it isn't reciprocated.
-
I find this thread amusing, and the fact that at this point in time there is still two guests on it. I unfortunately have to listen to the bore-ridden, at times 'racist' comments made by both celtic and rangers fans as i reside in Scotland. Its funny because they monitor a free speech message board, yet the problem lies within their population. You ask English football fans what the term 'Hun' means when referring to Scottish football and they have no idea. Instead of calling in the dogs on this site, the focus should more be on Scotland and their football fans. Because it is wayyy worse up there.

According to sources, £11.5 million has near been agreed. Enrique ready to fly across to Anfield for medical. No idea how reliable the source is. What makes me laugh is that he is apparently waiting for a champions league club but...erm....Liverpool aren't in it Jose!!!!! Also the general consensus is that Liverpool fans are gutted if this is true. They want aly cissokho not Enrique. So again Jose, your moving to a club where they don't want you, and certainly won't sing your name!! Could prove to be a move that reinforces the age old phrase, "The grass is not always greener on the other side." Very disappointed in the bloke. Don't say that you love the club and want to stay for the rest of your career, then piss on our backs and show that you want to fuck off. Things are obviously not that bad at the club for the players because Tiote has come out and said he wants to stay here over cheski. So it can't be that bad.

http://www.newcastleunited-mad.co.uk/news/...368/index.shtml Just read this article. Am I reading this wrong, but it suggests that they are pulling the reserve side from the league at the end of the season. Why?? Its brilliant for the youngsters and for the injured souls to get game time before brought back. Is this to save more money?

N'Zogbia ready to snub Liverpool for Newcastle
loonyTOON replied to Dafydd's topic in Newcastle Forum
Read that Wigan want as much as £20 mil for him. Too much in my opinion. However, it can be seen in a different way too. We sold him for 6-8 mil was it plus Raylor? Then we are giving them their money back, and paying more. But we keep Raylor. So we still have a squad player, and in theory pay less than they want for him. If we had intent next season, they would be buying N'Zogbia. They know he wants to come back, they also know that he would make an excellent addition to our attacking force, and it also saves them bringing a RM in. Switch Jonas to his natural side and Charlie on the left, with the occasional in-match switch Wont happen though gutted -
Skys Premier League live games - till end of November
loonyTOON replied to themags's topic in Newcastle Forum
Had a conversation a while back with a friend who works for Sky and he said that Newcastle have a big viewership when we are playing. And we're also one of those teams that the neutrals don't mind watching. Hence we have so many on television. Think if you list each team with how many times they are on tv, it would then be a list of popular teams to watch to those teams no-one watches. -
Why are QPR and we so unappreciative of Routledge
loonyTOON replied to Irrelevant Nick KP's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think we should give him another shot. God knows how many chances Ameobi has had, and he's an average player. Certain players have had their chances so why not given him a crack? Has done nothing wrong for us fans to dislike him If in January, its still the same then let him move on. But atm, we don't have a pacey right winger -
Aye he's streets ahead of Guthrie imo (Ferguson once said he had potential to be future Man U captain - if that's of any relevance). Has scored some absolute screamers as well and maybe given a run in a team could become a poor man's Lampard. Guthrie gets a lot of bashing but I'd be happy to keep him as backup so Gibson really shouldn't be a priority. Aye but when he tries to do it 3 or 4 times a game it gets frustrating. Aye, you say it's annoying when he shoots 3-4 times a game from far. I tell you what though, we lack a central midfielder who is happy to have a crack from yards. Irritating when in games there's opportunities to shoot from far when no one closes down, but instead they pass. Good addition to our squad and is really a good player who is young and has potential to improve more

I have a feeling that he is holding off to see who we sign and how much we spend. I think if we sign the right players, and show Enrique and Co. that we are now aiming for Europe, then he will sign on and stay. I also think the club know that too.
-
We should also take his mate Mohamed. They both have cracking records, albeit a shit league. Would rather these two over erdinic
-
I know this will seem naive, but i shall say it anyway. I am slightly disappointed at all this talk of the players going out, but what we cannot forget is that these are not Pardew's players. Since Bobby Robson, managers that have come in have mostly stuck with previous manager's buys. Its about time a manager came in and stamped his mark on the squad. And finally, before we cast judgement on all of this, lets just wait to see what squad we field in August against Arsenal. If the likes of Guthrie/Routledge are in the starting XI then I will happily admit that I was wrong. But I would like to think that the team fielded will be far stronger than one we have fielded this previous season.

The Congo U-17 squad, that played England last night
loonyTOON replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
If this was the team photo for Nigeria U-17, I would expect to see Oba Martins on the front row, seeing that no-one really knows his actual age -
Here's the question Has anyone ever been signed and then sold again in the same transfer window?
-
Don't blame any of them. Pardew is talking about 5 buys before the end of the window, in a squad that is already thread bare. We need to see 3 of our strikers leave, Nolan gone, Jose going, we need 8 or 9, what the fuck is going on with these twats, we'll never get a better captain than Nolan. Fair point but should someone be in the team just to skip? He would actually need to be fairly effective as a player too, which I think as a whole, he is not.
-
Not too fussed about this tbh. With him as the club captain, you have to play him. So its a position in the XI that is taken and he is really not that effective as a midfielder. Between him and Tiote, they had something like 2 or 3 assists between them. I think the biggest problem with him is his lack of pace and his passing ability. He has the strength, but once he loses the ball, he has no chance of tracking back. We need more creativity from someone in this position. Yes it will affect the team spirit but then again lets hope that it will still be there. We do need to break up this power house team of players who feel they have a say in the team organisation because it not good for Pardew. It does not allow him to put his own stamp on the team. Finally if the money is good, then take it. He has not got that long left and if we got 3-4 mil for him then its more available for transfers. At the end of the day, we dont know what goes on behind the scenes and what attitudes these older players have towards the owner. Good piece of business in my opinion.
-
At the same time, if he sat there asking how much they would pay him, bonuses etc instead of showing interest in the club. Then does he really want to play for us? I want players who want to play for NUFC. Maybe this is just a cover up for us been rejected, or maybe it is true and the club seriously werent excited by him. At the end of the day, we've been there for players who dont really care (Owen) but only care about the money.
-
Heard of him, but haven't seen much. Thoughts pls?
-
Jose Enrique, have some fucking respect for the club and fans pls. Meet with Pardew or whoever, and state what you want to do. So bad that he won't meet with them. We've stuck with him through some pretty shit times, and the club has too. He's lucky he wasnt shipped off when he first came and was playing shite. Just make a decision so we can make the necessary replacements if needed.
-
Signed for PSG. High aspirations this lad like. Not the side they used to be. I reckon he's scared of coming to the premier league because if he fails, his career will take a downturn. Going to the french league will be easier for him and more likely to score the amount of goals he did last season.
-
Are they going to be able to afford 15mil on Enrique then?
-
What I don't understand about this is why NUFC don't do this tactically. If they turned round to Enrique and said here's a 6yr deal with more money now, on the basis that you see who signs for the club over the summer. Not happy near the end of transfer window, we'll help you on your way. Or on the other hand, give us one more year to see if we can break into Europe again, and if not, we'll help you on your way and thank you for your hard work.
