watched the highlights. Is it just me or did Rob Elliott have a shocker?? And also, by bloody god was Barfa quick like. He has this crazy knack of jogging with the ball to hitting max accel/speed in nothing! scary like how much damage he could do for us in the prem.

sounds like we're now controlling the centre of the park, with low and behold, ben arfa controlling. But I dont see where our goals will come from with Lovelyhands up front

Sad to see that we are not taking the competion seriously, especially when it represents our only hope of a trophy along with the FA Cup Still we don't want to let cups get in the way of finishing 11th in the premier league As Marko on here said earlier, anyone who agrees with playing a weakened team shouldn't complain that we haven't won a trophy since 1969 Not taking it seriously? That's a bloody strong attacking midfield like. Aside Perch (who could well surprise us), it's a winning team tbh

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team

Rubbish. A job offer is a job offer, no matter who was there before. Things like that are said only because Hughton was dear to the fans- 10610 replies

There are different tactic aspects between AP and CH. Arsenal, Fulham and villa away, CH would of played defensively 4-51? Pardew has gone out looking for the wins with positive formation- 10610 replies

He is doing his job, but do you not think he deserves some credit from us fans?- 10610 replies

I just wonder for example, if Pardew wasnt here, would we see Sammy Ameobi on the pitch? Would Best have got a shot, which has provided crucial goals? Would Hughton have stuck with the Ameobi/lovenkrands partnership? I also genuinely believe that Pardew is told the same lies we hear, ie 35 mil will be spent, carroll wont leave.- 10610 replies

Barton on Goals on Sunday said that Llambias is lucky that the club has a very talented manager. I think that if Pardew was to leave, I think that our club would be in serious trouble. And no player has had issues with the manager, he's unbeaten this season so far, with some strong performances. He has been honest, especially with relation to QPR game, admitting it was his fault because he got the tactics wrong. I obviously know I'm going to get ripped to shreds on here for this, but I really believe that Pardew is holding our club together and is keeping a good morale amongst the players. Who is really going to want to manage our club if he were to leave?- 10610 replies

Joey says that Newcastle have a very talented manager. I think its about time the fans realised that AP is holding us together as a club

What does Gosling need to do to make the bench

Got a cheeky feeling we'll get a win today. our midfield is stronger, and just hoping that more chances are created than the QPR game

Just watched the highlights from the reserve team game against Norwich and noticed something from the off. They play majority to feet, and play on the deck. As opposed to our ever obvious tactic in the 1st team of the long, direct route. We have used this tactic for stupid amounts of years and think we really need to be more like the reserves. They played young Donaldson up front on his own and it worked a treat.....because they passed the ball about and moved up the field. It may just be me, but I'm sick of seeing the long ball, direct route in our name. Its boring to watch and it really doesn't work with the players we have. Even when Lovenkrands plays and he looks for the gaps, we can't play a simple, on the deck through ball. We have the creativity and flair in Jonas, Marveux, Cabaye, Obertan, Gosling to be able to run at the defence and play simple on the deck football. But instead we look to go direct, then wide, then cross. Best and Ameobi are not Andy Carroll. I hope one day soon, we return to slick football where it goes through the defence, midfield to then the attackers. Instead of seeing the ball hoofed forward. 6 goals in the game with those tactics. Granted its Norwich and we are strong in reserves. But could it create more chances for us in the Prem?

You compare to last season, when we had a run of games, a match like this we would expect to win and would be pathetic and lose. But I think we might be a stronger unit without the departed guys
