I'm with everyone else in that Perch is not one for us for the future. But tbf to him, he played Drogba a lot better than most defenders do. He lost in the air everytime but he was putting a lot of pressure on his back. I think Pardew must see something in him. I thought Routledge would be a good squad player for us but he saw nothing and got rid. He could have easily done the same with Perch and got a cheap replacement. Also I thought Kadar was looking ace and coming along nicely, but Pardew has had him no-where near 1st team. I can safely say I have faith in Pardew and his selection. So I think we should just wait and see what happens. Who knows.... I have £9 on us to win 3-1 with Ba to score first, 75-1. Im praying it happens as Im due a win....and its xmas!

Newcastle v Chelsea Sat 3rd Dec, 12.45pm - Sold out!

I'll be really gutted if we don't beat them on Saturday. If we're in the top 5 come January then Ashley might refrain from selling all our best players. We have the basis now for a strong Prem team, and with some tweaks we can surely compete outside the top 4. But saying that, if he starts selling, we'll end up fighting for our lives next season. Away from the point. I reckon a 2-1 win to us with Ba and Ben Arfa scoring. -
With Marveux out for up to four months, I'm starting to think we need to look for another winger for our squad. Obertan is just coming back from injury, but if him or Jonas get injured, we're in trouble. Hate to imagine if both were out. Sammy is coming through nicely but not convinced that he is ready. Ben Arfa shouldn't play out wide because his defending skills are sketchy and we rely on the hard work of our wide men. Thoughts? Hoillet could be a shout, also Barnetta?

Santon will be the permanent replacement for Simpson. They'll bring a LB like Pieters into the club in Jan. Simpson nearly left in summer, which would have seen Taylor to rb and then santon at lb.
-
Time for Santon to now come in for Raylor. Two mistakes costing us two goals. TIme for him to step aside. On another day, we'd be level and would have scored 2-3

Not sure tbh, he was sent back to NUFC to recover from injuries. I'm gonna take a stab at this, but I bet NUFC are leaking info to media saying these players look doubtful so that it messes with Citae's preparations. If they think that Cabaye, Tiote, Best, Obertan are all out of the game, how do they prepare for players like Sammy-Obi, Guthrie, Ben Arfa when they've played very little this season so far.
-
Pardew hoping on Obertan and Tiote. So we could well have our full strength side out on saturday. My formation though would be as follows:- Krul Simpson Colo Taylor Raylor Tiote Cabaye Gutrie <Jonas/Barfa > Ba Best I put the < > either side of Jonas/Barfa as I'd have either in a free role, so they can work either side at choice or down the middle. Also if Jonas, he would then track back and sit in front of the three CM. Either has the skill on the counter to beat a man and run towards goal and pick a pass. Hope Pardew gets the formation, selection and tactics right for this. If he does, I can see us winning. Want to ram a win down Mancini's throat after he laughed at us in that press conference.
-
Cabaye shud be back in XI on Saturday after 90 mins tonight for France. Could be near strong squad. I think he should play Guthrie, Tiote and Cabaye and then let either Jonas or Barfa play a free role across both wings behind Ba and Best
-
Here's an adapted leaflet idea for you's. Next home game, have people outside the stadium handing out flyers telling people to voice their opinions before, during and after the game with the song "Fat Cockney Bastard". 50,000 people singing that for 90 minutes. The stewards can't remove everyone from the stadium can they!

Back for City game by the looks of it, as he's on the bench for France tonight

No Obertan. Out for a month -
I also think that if Ba scores 15+ by end of January, he should be given the number 9. He is fantastic to watch. Obertan has been shit hot too, stop hating. The guy hasn't played many prem games
-
I dont want to tempt fate so not texting any of my mates. But if we win, I think the anti-Pardew haters should stop and think cos this guy is bringing amazing things to Tyneside
-
Big game for us. Can go 3rd and keep up with the teams above. I think that if Tiote and Taylor plays, we will win. No Tiote and it's a draw. And neither we'll lose. I'm undecided on 1-2 or 1-3 NUFC
-
Barfa didnt look totally up for it at wigan either. I'm hoping its just nerves after his injury. But once he loses the ball, no back tracking, nothing. And if he has a quiet game like last night, then he is easily going to fall off the radar during games. Atm, impact sub for me.
-
Weird we play better with Lovens, Sammi and Obertan than marveux and barfa on. Did Barfa look up for it like? Cos apparently he didnt turn up
-
I left commentary at 88 and realised 5 mins into ET to hear penalty. This is crazy!!!

So before this it was the 90's since we had a run like this. How long does it stretch back now?
