  1. Just want a bit of an atmosphere for game tomorrow with fellow fans!
  2. QPR absentees - Armand Traore (ACN), Barton (suspension), Adel Taarabt (ACN), Faurlin (injured) There have Macheda now on loan from Man Utd.
  3. Is there a pub where Newcastle fans go to watch the game? Sick of been the only Toon fan in a pub watching it
  4. I reckon that we'll put a fair few past them. Would be just the right time for Ameobi, Best and Barfa to score. Have a feeling of three points here. 4-1
  5. This is a hard one. On feelings towards club, I'd go with Carroll as he's a Geordie through and through. But on ability I'm going to have to go with Ba. Thoughts?
  6. I think he should go with 442 again with Hatem on the right, but given freedom to move in. Have Best and Ameobi up front. Neither striker is good enough to play the lone ranger, plus Best did get the assist for Jonas. I think we should win though.
  7. As far as I knew, Ba's knee is tempremental to the point that one challenge will end his career. Plus he doesn't seem overly dedicated to the Toon as his comments about PSG suggest.
  8. Anyone heard any more from NUFC? He's been with us since Wednesday. He's really hoping he proves his worth (obviously though)
  9. Shit 3rd round results though to be fair. These are the teams I expect to be in the draw for 5th round Newcastle (obviously ) Sunderland Chelsea Norwich Villa Spurs Liverpool Stoke Fulham Swansea Wolves Hull Blackpool Notts County Notts Forest That really leaves 4 non-prem teams to be drawn against in the 5th round. Worrying a little bit. Not going to be an easy road to the final.
  10. would of loved a home tie against Mackems
  11. He could start instead of Obertan, and keep Shola and Best up front. Best is lost on his own.
  12. We know there's no striker coming in, so perhaps Ben Arfa is been protected for when Ba is away
  13. unfair not giving him a chance coming in at 2-0 when he's 100% fit...the kid needs playtime, he will and must be an important piece when ba is away and he should be prepared by being given time on the pitch. But? I'd much rather take 3 points over giving Ben Arfa game time. End of the day, he's now going to get his time to shine, so let's see what he produces. Me also thinks he didn't play to protect him so he's fit and able to play once Ba is gone. Remember, no striker is coming in, so if he gets injured we're stuck with Best, Ameobi and Lovenhands He needs a run out. But not 2-0 up against Man Utd who can quite easily score 2 in 2 mins. Better bringing people on who will run and chase and play the game out. best, perch, obertan...they will run allright, but...

  15. lol fucking hell like i said same as always , same subs, same clueless cunt, just because it works once in a while it doesn't make him Trappatoni but aye all credit to him doing the same thing as the last few games we didn't get results in well played Erm, not really. He could have quite easily gone with the starting line up as usual. But he took a player who's played LB and started him RM. now that's a bloody contrasting decision.
  16. All you complainers and those who want to take this away from Pardew, take a hike. Total bollocks to criticise the managers decisions. Granted it wasn't the starting line-up we wanted to see, but it worked didn't it? And Pardew did select it. Ben Arfa coming on would have been crazy. We didn't need an attacking minded player coming on when we were 2-0 up!!
  17. Everyone that started chased everything, all doing they're defensive bit. The subs can be justified too. Best will keep running and closing people down. Obertan came on as a counter body, so Man Utd didn't over commit. And Perch is defensive minded, and he's performed recently very well.
  18. Something must of been said to SSN from NUFC
  19. Looking at that makes me sad :-(
  20. Expensive but very very effective imo. Imagine all the press coverage, actually globally that they would receive. Now we are getting near 50,000 fans at the stadium each week, who all want to see SJP return. But how many are there out there that don't go to games? There must be hundreds of thousands of fans that would be over the moon with virgin money. If they did it, Id be more likely to use Virgin for things, more because of what they would have done for us. All football fans up and down the country (except the mackems) would feel a positive 'emotional relationshop' because of the selfless thing they would have done. Virgin Money would be the savours of tradition and heritage in football, and more in the North East.
  21. But with Obertan, I do believe its confidence. But could you imagine been a full-back and knackered around 70 mins and you then have to deal with Obertan subbed on? Could be a good impact bench player
