  1. excellent stuff, thanks.
  2. I interpret ‘net’ spending as including the Carroll money as it was left over net spending from the last transfer window — so anything below £40m is us being sold short.
  3. this “£35m good business” for Andy Carroll, first wasn’t it £30m plus add ons? Which in fairness is a huge amount for any club to offer and shows the commitment of LFC. the club had been hawking him to spurs et al, for weeks before the transfer deadline, meaning they wanted to cash in their asset. they knew that LFC were getting the Torres money and were holding out for whatever NUFC want for Carroll + £15m, as this was stated by a LFC director a week before the transfer deadline. The club knew that once Carroll had broken into the England team they would have to pay him what he was worth, and telling him that he had just signed a 4 year deal for £20k a week and was not getting his rise as promised was as good as telling him to ‘fuck off you mug’. The £80k a week he’s on at LFC is a lot less than what they were paying Torres and we were paying Owen and others, but now it seems we won’t be paying what the going rate is for quality centre forwards. We were left with an appalling choice of forwards (but cheap as chips) yet they knew that they were selling Carroll as the negotiations were on going and they didn’t have a back up player — even as a loan signing. The club gambled on having a thin squad and keeping the senior players playing nearly every game with little to no back up, even when we had long term injuries (but lucky it wasn’t more) they didn’t use the window to re-stock, no they got rid of 2 players instead when we were still in danger of another relegation. Yeh the huge gamble paid off, we stayed up, ‘good business’ or complete bunch of idiots running the club that got lucky — this time — so far. They still don’t know how to run a football club or employ someone who does and still treat the fans with contempt — and the players too it seems. They’ve admitted to making huge mistakes in the past, yet it hasn’t appeared to change their ways. oh yeh it’s called “good business” it seems. With the Carroll money AND monies from TV revenue, season tickets, shirt sales, etc — this summer will tell us once and for all what’s their true club statement, and there’s only so many times you can use incompetence as an excuse.
  4. well wrong there thankfully. to get my excuses in it was before we signed Tiote and Afra. I was confident that Barton would be a good player but he exceeded my expectations, and I didn’t see Carroll being so good. In general most of the players turned out to be better players than I expected and the team spirit was spot on. We had a few injuries, but nowhere near as bad as it could’ve been with such a thin squad.
  5. I think that the club will actually be close to that target, but only if the Carroll money goes into club debt payments. By close though it's still a few million here or there.. Just had a quick nose about and it was Simon Bird in The Mirror that said...... hey cool so that 35 million can be pumped straight back into the squad and of course the additional monies from season ticket sales and TV revenues — should be quite a few bob.
  6. how is walking around with an imitation firearm in your waistband not illegal?
  7. yeh here’s a link to the Suns version: The Sun: Nile Ranger the tool, posing with gun The Toon striker, 20, was photographed holding the chrome handgun while messing about with pals before a night out. The Sun showed the snap to the shocked Premier League club which launched an immediate inquiry. England U19 player Ranger - who came on as a substitute in Newcastle's 2-2 draw with Chelsea yesterday - is a former gang member who was once locked up over a mugging. But he had vowed to change his ways. Bad boy past ... Nile Ranger Last night a source revealed the picture was taken after four pals visited Newcastle from London. The source added: "Someone spotted this bulge in the waistband of one of the bloke's trousers. "He was a bit of a hardcase and pulled out this gun. It was passed around and Nile struck up a pose like a gangster and tried to look like a real tough guy." A spokesman for Newcastle United said: "The club have spoken to Nile and can confirm that the item shown in the photograph is a replica firearm which is not an offence to own. "Nile regrets posing for the photograph, which was taken by his girlfriend at home." But Mothers Against Violence campaigner Patsy McKie, whose son was shot dead in Manchester, said: "Footballers are an example to young boys. He probably thought this was a bit of fun, but guns tear people's lives apart." Ranger, of North London, told after signing for Newcastle in 2008 how he was sent to a young offenders' institution for 11 weeks when he was just 15. He said: "I started running with a gang. We were convicted of street robbery in Muswell Hill. There was a weapon but we didn't use it. "Jail was pretty rough but it taught me a lot. The most important thing I learned is that I never want to go back." He signed for Southampton but was kicked out over his bad behaviour - getting two written warnings and being caught with first-team kit he wanted to give to friends. But he insisted: "Coming up to Newcastle has completely changed my life." Nile — you thick twat — are you a ‘bad boy gangsta stylee’ or a professional footballer?
  8. not techie enough to describe the quality, but if you’re use to grainy myp2p then you’ll be well impressed. Best watching via Firefox. you just go to the subscribe and pay via paypal so they don’t know your card/banking details only your email address you give for receipts. it’s normally £2 per day for a 1 day pass, or £6 for a 2 month pass. They’re doing a £5 to the end of he season until 1st June instead now. there’s no communication from them except at confirmation of payments & password, and payment and then access to the streams is within a few minutes. You just need a password and username to get going once you’ve paid. once your set subscription is out of date you have to manually renew your payment, it’s not done by any direct debit or owt. On a busy football day there’s 12 channels dedicated to the EPL alone.
  9. yeh I can vouch for that as well, it’s good quality, a lot better than most online streams, very rare to have a break in feed, all of the prem games are on and boxing too. I would advise anyone to pay via Paypal as it’s a lot more secure than paying via credit card to some illegal broadcaster.
  10. yep, every time i’ve seen a fight in Germany the decisions have been ludicrously in favour of a German based fighter. seeing as Kiltschko is based there and seen as a hero to them, Haye needs to knock him out, which he won’t.
  11. what does that make Carroll then seeing as he’s been in more bother than Joey Barton?
  12. no explanation on there of why they wear 3 gold stars on their shirts though.
  13. she is attractive except for those freak tits, but they ruin the whole thing.
  14. the bluffers guide to MCFC I thought this was a piss take until I saw that it’s on their official website — oh dear!
  15. I don’t rate him, he’s got loads of pace, a few tricks but plays football like a headless chicken. he’s a bit like Jonas where once he’s running with the ball he can’t see a pass never mind make a pass, but he also gets caught in possession too often. You can give a player like him loads of games (which will improve him) but I doubt he’ll ever read the game at top level. Impact player at best.
  16. on this site it’s always the pages with gifs on it that take forever to load.
  17. yep too right. But I doubt he’ll go for a straight £10m anyway, will be £4 to £6m plus add ons.
  18. cannot be much of a centre forward then if a team plays one up front, Championship centre forwards tend to be burly target men.
  19. Ipswich play him as a winger, hence his lack of goals per games.
  20. cheers for the PM lads. hahahahahaha — not libellous — kin’ell!
  21. as Ashley has been asset stripping over recent years — what is left to sell and for how much? The sellable value of our players must now be at an all time low.
  22. you have a dozen possibles, you can’t make up your minds and you need test shots to help know what you’re doing... hmm, I think you’ll be setting off a few alarm bells! as suggested, get some dummy shots with a body double, etc. Be clear which one works, the model and photographer shouldn’t be aggrieved for doing 2 or 3 options — but not 12! — whilst everything is set up. Any decent photographer will show you test shots at the shoot and rattle off several pics which you’ll view before moving on. But somebody will have to put their neck on the line and be decisive. The worst thing you could do is to cock-up and ask for a re-shoot because you didn’t know what you were doing.
  23. a cup final and CL put some rose coloured specs on it at the time, but he ruined a great NUFC team. the way he had us playing was as though the daft twat hadn’t yet accepted the back pass rule, that rule change —1992 — it seemed as though it was brought in for us and KK.
