  1. 18.11 Portsmouth defender Mike Williamson's move to Newcastle has been delayed, Sky Sports News understands. that’ll be the personal terms we’ve offered him then.
  2. wonder how much wages he’s on at Pompey, albeit when they actually pay the players. the: “....at the moment we’re just working on the lad’s terms,” isn’t all that reassuring.
  3. my first reaction after the initial, who?: who are we selling? those muppets running the club have left me with nothing other than cynicism.
  4. 100%. Tottenham will never finish fourth. Despite their gobbyness, deep down they know they're a mickey mouse club, their insecurities about who they are will stop them forever, a bit like ours in Cup Finals. They will never do what we did in 1996, 1997, 2002 and 2003. They'll always bottle it, I think even the players can sense it. this, Liverpool have some players who are up for it. Last time I saw a Spuds team up for it was when Gazza played for them.
  5. and all his coaching staff too. compensation bonanza, kerching!!!!
  6. quick search says he’s a defensive midfielder mainly, but can play right back or centre half, even in goal. Just back from longterm injury!!!!!
  7. anyone know where Ashley was sat last night? As I heard he was picked out by the cameras but wasn’t sat in his usual directors seats.
  8. It was soft because the keeper should've saved it. It was a flick-on from about 12 yards out. You can't tell me Carson wasn't disappointed to not have kept it out. Carson saw it late as he had 2 players between him and Loverkrands when he headed it. Shola’s marking for their first was a disgrace.
  9. true, but they’ve not had any in stock for months. I know plenty of people who’d tried to get one, but the club shops didn’t have any.
  10. does this explain why the club chose the yellow kit as our last away kit and the much preferred blue and black 3rd kit is impossible to purchase — to get back at Adidas for being dumped?
  11. lucky to get anything, big fan base is one thing, but which organisation would want to be associated with a club run by idiots?
  12. No, they’re just called ‘cotton-buds’ anyways they should never be stuck in your ear.
  13. a couple of drops of good quality olive oil* (warmed to body temperature) every day for a couple of weeks should shift it, if not get it syringed, or whatever the modern equivalent is nowadays. *that’s in your ear not up your arse.
  14. exactly, we’re in need of someone who can pass in midfield. I’m putting his poor form earlier this season down to him carrying an injury, that evidently required surgery. ever the optimist!
  15. the Watford fans will be hoping that Elton John goes back in the closet and becomes a ‘football fan’ again to prove it.
  16. Too fucking right they do. The area around the ground/St. Peters is a right shit tip. The city centre isn't much better. any tourist with half a brain would stay in Newcastle and get the Metro/train to the SoS for a match.
  17. don’t know much about Boyd, but from what I’ve head he’s the laziest player in the SPL who only scores against the kak teams in the SPL.
  18. would of been an England regular by now.
  19. so, would you still sign him if he wants to play in his preferred position as a central attacking midfielder? which it is.
  20. so why’ve we signed Pancrate?
  21. they’re playing right sided midfield/winger, Wilshere is a left sided attacking midfield. I only ask the question because I imagine he would play instead of Jonas, Nolan or even a returning Barton.
  22. who would he replace in our current line-up , and what long-term impact would that have on that player?
  23. You can't make direct comparisons like that without considering the vast gulf between the two leagues though. Look at Nolan compared to any amount of PL players this year. I'd say Beattie's better than anyone at the club as well as a striker. I agree totally, Beattie signing for Stoke kept them up, different class to what we’ve got.
  24. Stevie Giraffidae, Maric was the best player on the pitch that neet. Prosinecki was total class and bossed that game, his playmaking made Maric and others look good. As we found out when Maric came here he was like a fish out of water without someone like Prosinecki’s guile.
  25. not sure if he’s the best I’ve seen but 1997 NUFC v Croatia Zagreb, Robert Prosinecki was awesome.
