It's what Stevie does for a bite, isn't it? Veer as close to blatent racism as he can get away with without getting an outright ban. In the last few weeks we've had this, his comment whether a negligent doctor was 'English' or not, his remark that all he could see in a nightclub was his black mate's teeth, and of course the hilarious claim the other day that he is one of the least racist people on here. Then of course we had his comments a few months back about Raoul Moat's girl friend being a disgusting slag. Oh aye, and his constant abuse at anyone who disagree with him about virtually anything. And all this is done without any censure at all it seems. I'm canny interested in whether other people - especially the mods and admin - think all this is alright or not to be honest. spot on there Renton. There was clearly no reason for Stevies post other than to incite racism. Clear agenda, again.

There are a number of issues here Given was badly treated by the club and should have been shown more respect. When he went to Man City it was on a 3 year contract. Its dificult for goalkeepers as there can only be one so not much room for manouvere just look at how long Harper played second fiddle to Given. When he pushed out Joe Hart at Man City did it bother him, though in hindsight it probably did Hart a favour as it gave him the chance to shine at Birmingham City. Having said that he went to Man City on the understanding he would be number 1 keeper. The big issue here is that in aquiring Given along with thier other signings Man City were NOT bringing in a player because he was needed they are going round the clubs elliminating any player they see as a threat to winning the Premier league or other title. In many cases these players are then just chucked onto the bench with no hope of playing which is exactly where Given now is. To be chucked onto the scrapheap at 34 for a keeper is not on so you cannot blame him for wanting to move. As to the final question should he come back - Yes along with many others i dont think Harper is up to Premier league standard, though he would have to take his place and not expect to go straight back as Number 1 he could perhaps mix a few appearances with coaching. Tim Krul is the futeure though and wil make an outstanding keeper in time. none of your “issues” refer to the fact that Given fell out with NUFC, to the point of going on strike to get a move. What’s going on at Man City is tough titties and it won’t change the impasse.

it won’t happen. Given had a massive fallout with the club before he went to Man City. No way will they help him with his latest bench warming tantrum.

Fat Sam, suited to Inter Milan or Real Madrid

is that why he employs all those sports scientists, so he can score the most mind altering drugs possible? -
unfortunately my lasting memory of him was from the ashes, when after getting a wicket he went down on one knee with his arms out wide, begging for adulation. Great player, but his ego went into orbit at times. Always likened to Botham, but didn’t get close.

Enlighten me. sorry I should have been specific, local rags in Newcastle.
-
so the frequent stories in the local media about unprovoked attacks on people must be all made up then.

Beeb: “Ferguson compared the severity of the injury to that suffered by former United player Alan Smith” career changing future ahead then. hope he makes a full recovery though, shame for him as he’s a class player.

I laughed at that and cringed at the bloke who tried to explain it. The cunt who claims we have to use it? Aye he fails to point out that there's one Manchester, one Birmingham, one Liverpool and one Sunderland in this country yet two Newcastles. Fucking mong. I had to laugh at that those thick mackems! as well as Newcastle-under-Lyme, in the UK there’s also: Newcastle (County Down, Northern Ireland) Newcastle Emlyn (Wales) Newcastle on Clun (England) Newcastle (Monmouth, Wales) but of course we’re inferior to Scumderland because our city (a proper one at that) has to use ‘upon Tyne’ — hahaha.

mate of mine jacked his season ticket in because we signed him, he’d had a season ticket for 20 years — doesn’t like talking about Bellamy to this day!!!

to me, Dyer hated the idea of playing as a winger which made him deliberately make Solano such a key player, Dyer was a talented enough player to make someone else look as good as he was. Problem with Dyer was that he was far too lightweight in his defensive work to ever be a central midfielder — he should of been a winger or an attacking fullback. I use to hate Waddle, always with those shimies and never lifting his head to look to do anything with the ball. The amount of times he ran the ball over the touchline because he hadn’t realised he’d run out of pitch, urgh! Along with that lazy looking stroll/jog I knew he’d never be a decent player....
-
watch out, Switzerland are a different class than Bulgaria, they not only qualified for the last WC but they beat Spain there, and beat the WC record for longest time for consecutive clean sheets. Ottmar Hitzfeld as ever, has them playing with 2 defensive midfielders and are difficult to break down. As they are they the second favourites for the group an away draw would be an excellent result for England. 0-0

I remember seeing Hague doing that cringey speech as a very young Young Conservative which put me off him for life. But in my mind I’ve always thought of his doppelganger James Harries. For those of you fortunate not to know who I mean: LINK to James Harries.......Lauren

quite funny the comparison with Nasri. He’s one of the most hated players in the French squad, known as a complete toss pot and arrogant beyond belief.
-
exactly, what’ve we got if Carroll is injured, suspended or locked up? Loverkrands only looks decent as an impact substitute. Best, Shola or Ranger — oh dear. The only concern with Keane is that for the last few seasons he’s never looked capable of playing for a full 90 mins. Spuds fans all seem to think his fitness is shot.

no confirmation yet. Was at the training ground, no news of his medical, agreeing terms or fights with new team mates yet...

isn’t that unusual for the Council to be the ones who send out letters. usually it’s from some petty twat on the committee. Is there a committee on your allotments? Find out who they are and ask them innocently (but in a subtle shit stirring way) what can be done. If no success send them a letter and copy it to the Council. The Council getting paid off with veggies, seriously??????

especially when you compare the Emirates naming paid £100m, a third of the cost of building that stadium for Arsenal. Ashley’s only doing this as a temporary measure to encourage future financing — yeh right! SportsDirect to give NUFC £100m?

and I thought the dissing of him was bad enough, jeez.

Portsmouth stars Nugent and Wilson in drunken brawl shame By CHARLES SALE Last updated at 12:14 PM on 5th August 2009 Crisis club Portsmouth are now fighting among themselves with two of their players, David Nugent and Marc Wilson, fined a maximum two weeks’ wages after a drunken late-night brawl on a trip to Portugal last week. Striker Nugent, a £6million buy from Preston, and midfielder Wilson are understood to have squared up to each other with metal clothes rails torn from their hotel wardrobes at 5am on Sunday after a night of heavy drinking. The incident took place at the four-star Villa Hotel in Guimaraes following dinner after the 4-0 defeat by Benfica, the only occasion on the five-day tour when the players were allowed alcohol with their meal. They later went to a nightclub before the team-mates’ fight broke out on their late return to the hotel. Paul Hart, the Barclays Premier League side’s manager, who was never going to tolerate club colleagues behaving in such a way, sent both players home in disgrace in advance of the squad’s return on Monday. Tough task ahead: Hart A Portsmouth spokesman said last night: ‘Both David Nugent and Marc Wilson have been disciplined for a breach of club discipline while on the trip to Portugal. The matter will be dealt with in-house.’ Pompey, hotly tipped for relegation even before the season kicks off, are already in turmoil with mounting fears that their proposed takeover by Sulaiman Al Fahim will not materialise. The summer-long impasse over ownership has meant no financial backing for nine months and the club have already offloaded top stars Lassana Diarra, Jermain Defoe, Glen Johnson and Peter Crouch. Chief executive Peter Storrie warned yesterday that more players might have to be sold. The Portugal episode could hasten Nugent’s exit. He has scored just three goals in two seasons at Fratton Park since his one England senior appearance and goal against Andorra while at Preston. got a SportsDirect bargaintastic* deal written all over it like. Still trying to get use to this mentality. *80% off RRP but not actually any good — but cheap as chips compared to real quality.
