I agree. thought he looked well short of fitness and was completley wasted on left side of midfield, however his touch, control, passing and vision were a class above. on the odd occasion when he found himself in CM i thought he was excellent. its not his fault that all his forward balls were picked off as i thought Rangers movement was absolute gash at times. still the best midfielder at the club for me but he needs to get to full fitness and moved back into the middle.

got to say Smith has been a major disapointment up til this season. but hes been excellent in the fizzy pop league, but then again, so he should be considering hes trousering 60+k a week!!

only thing i would add to that is we have fuck all (experienced) cover at the back. a couple of injuries/suspensions will leave us in DEEP shit defensively!! I think playing the numbers game is slightly misleading as we've got loads of midfielders, a credible no. of strikers, but few defenders. heard a rumour were getting Leon Cort on loan tho so that'll help out there (if it actually happens that is). still need a LB as well IMO (as cover for Enrique). But, While it lasts, i shall be making hay in the sunshine!!! TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNN!!!!!!!!
