  1. cos even tho the economy of india is massive (and growing), theres so many people the average share of the wealth is very low indeed. still dont agree with sending them aid tho. it generally ends up going to the richest and never reaches the poorest. same could be said of most aid sent by this country tbh.
  2. Why are you helping to double the record sales of the company he works for then? You think a chart war where the public battle to buy up as many records as possible and both acts on the same label benefit from inflated sales is going to make Simon Cowell think again before starting another series....and in all liklihood generating a similar battle? fuckin hell, thats some intellectuallising going on there happy. if you dont want to buy it thats your choice. if you want to buy it, again, thats your choice. if you want to do neither etc., etc.. who cares if sony get the money. not me. it probably has been engineered that way but arent most things in life? as far as i can see this christmas no.1 is a 2 horse race. i'm choosing the song i like best. get over it!! Intellectualising? It's plain as day man. You couldn't make this shit up well like DUH!!! you're as daft as you think i am if you think i didnt realise it!! So when you said "fuckin hell, thats some intellectuallising going on there happy", what you actually meant was the opposite? Course you did. maybe i should have put a smiley at the end of that statement to make it even more obvious I don't even think you're sure what you're on about now. OH OH, SERIOUS CONVERSATION ALERT!1!1!1!1!1111!!!111 stop being so serious Alex. it 79p we're talking about here. if it makes me happy to spend this piddly little amount on something stupid then i'll do it. call it vindictiveness if you like for having to endure people yakking on about this shite for the last 3 months. and i really do like the song. shirley that should be a good enough reason to buy it!

The fuckin cheeky twat Cowell was on the radio earlier saying that those who set the facebook RATM group up were "cynical" Do you think he's familiar with the concept of irony? I've always found him to be a very funny, self-aware, intelligent man so yes, I think it's safe to say he was fully aware of the irony in his comments....as well as the further publicity it would generate for the facebook campaign. Rest assured he wholeheartedly endorses the effort. Axeman, I just thought that since you left actually liking the song till last, your most important reason for downloading was to strike a blow against Cowell and the X-factor. I thought you were making a stand against 'the industry' but now your saying it's par for the course and i should get over it...but I'm not the one joining a campaign to put an end to engineered chart success. Personally I'm in a win win situation because either way there's going to half a million people getting all pissy about what's number one in the charts and i get to take the piss out of them. had on there Happy............... (switches big wooden spoon to opposite hand)

  8. Just looking through some of the old results. In '66 Barry Briggs placed higher than Geoff Hirst. must admit i had to wiki that name. tbf, he was pretty fucking good at what he did!
  9. I'm still gonna buy it tho. Ratm i mean just cos i dont like Simon Cowell, the TWELVE FUCKING WEEKS of X factor on the telly or the really crap kareoke singer that won. and i really dont mind spending 79p to have a chance (a very good chance) to keep this crap off the top of the charts. so sue me.............. oh, and also i really like the song!

  16. The amount of water that is drinkable on this planet is still the same as it was thousands of years ago.....But the population is growing by 2 million a week...Intensive farming is also depleting the water supply globally. Most lakes in Africa are at 10-30% of their former capacity. "............oceans heat up releasing more moisture" of course if global warming isnt happening then were all DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!!11!!11!!11!!11!!
  17. how can we run out of drinkable water? shirley if the global warming is coming then that means the oceans heat up, releasing more moisture into the atmosphere, forming clouds ending up as rain on Rob's roof. natures desalination plant!
  18. "Tesco will sell the iPhone for £222 with its one-year contract An iPhone price war has been triggered with news Tesco is to sell the iconic device on a £20 a month contract. The entry of Tesco into the iPhone market means that the cheapest way of buying and running one amounts to £462 with a one year contract. This is made up of £222 for one of the original 3G models with an 8GB memory and 12 monthly payments of £20. Over 18 months, the figure would be £582, which is some £43 cheaper than the equivalent deals from current iPhone providers. The supermarket is taking on established mobile phone networks, Orange and O2, in the battle for sales in the crucial Christmas trading period. The pressure to cut prices will be turned up in the new year when Vodafone will also start offering the iPhone. Currently, both Orange and O2 insist on customers signing up for a minimum 18 months for those who buy the iPhone on a contract basis. This means the cheapest way of buying and running an iPhone 3G works out at £624.98 with Orange. That is a handset price of £96.50 and a monthly charge of £29.36. The price with O2, which originally had exclusive rights to sell the iPhone when it was first launched in November 2007, works out at £625.73 for a similar deal. Mobile phone handset prices and tariffs are notoriously complex, which means making a like for like comparison is virtually impossible for consumers. This works to the advantage of the salesmen who routinely blind customers with a myriad of figures in order to push handsets and meet sales targets. The picture is complicated by the fact that the amount of call minutes, texts and internet minutes included in the monthly charge will vary between the networks. Another important factor is the geographical coverage of the network linked to the handset. All the major networks have blackspots which can mean a good value phone is useless if one of these falls over your locality. Tesco will also be offering the iPhone on a pay as you go basis. It will charge £342, which is just £1 less than Orange and O2. Apple's iPhone has changed the entire mobile phone market. Before it arrived, networks were giving expensive handsets away free of charge as part of their contracts. Tesco is selling the iPhone with an 18-month contract for £582, £43 less than equivalent deals from other mobile providers Today, customers have to pay hundreds of pounds for an iPhone if they want to avoid paying ruinously high contract fees. At the same time, it sparked a raft of supposed iPhone killers which have copied its touchscreen technology, such as the Palm Pre and LG Cookie. Today it still leads a host of smart phones that double as music and video players, digital cameras, web browsers and email devices. Tesco will start offering the range of iPhones from Monday. The higher spec 3GS model with a 16GB memory will cost £320 on a 12-month contract of £20 a month. It will be £440 on a pay-as-you go basis. Tesco Mobile services operate over the O2 network which is a partner in the business with Tesco. The firm's chief executive, Lance Batchelor, said: 'iPhone is now available and affordable for all, with the best deals in the UK market. 'This is a fantastic announcement for us and we’re delighted to make iPhone available to our customers. It shows what a serious player in the mobile market Tesco Mobile has become." hmmmmmmmmm, my contracts up for renewal soon. could be tempted.
