I'm surprised Cameron is pretending to be outraged given the complicity of private landlords in the scam. Of course you could argue that the legal obligation of councils to house people should be exempted in areas like Kensington - I know that would just pass the buck elsewhere but it would save money. I don't mind Cameron capping how much they'll pay towards rent. Seems very reasonable. Of course, that's the kind of costly bureaucratic regulation that they're insisting they'll put an end to. well i would guess that the bureaucratic regulation is already in place so there would be no extra cost, against a saving of £1600. its a winner!!!! EDIT: in this particular case

Probably just headline grabbing but nevertheless, a step in the right direction. "David Cameron has told MPs it is an "outrage" that a family was able to claim £2,000 a week in benefits to live in a luxury townhouse. He said housing benefits had got "completely out of control" under Labour but the new Government would impose a cap next year. At Prime Minister's Questions he said many people would regard the new £400-a-week limit as "very, very generous". It was reported last week that Abdi and Sayruq Nur and their seven children moved into their three-storey property in Kensington, central London, at a cost of £8,000 a month. The issue was raised by Tory Nadhim Zahawi (Stratford-on-Avon), who asked Mr Cameron: "Do you agree that Mr Nur and his family, who have moved into a £2,000-a-week house at the taxpayers' expense in Kensington, is exactly the sort of thing the coalition was elected to fight against?" The Prime Minister said: "The housing benefit situation, particularly in central London, has got completely out of control. "The idea that a family should be able to claim £2,000 a week for their house I think is an outrage for people who go to work every day, pay their taxes and try and do the right thing for their family. "That is why we will cap housing benefit levels from April next year so the maximum that can be claimed will be £400 a week for a property with more than four bedrooms. "Even £400 a week, many people on ordinary incomes will look at that and find that very, very generous for how we help people, and every penny of that comes out of hard-earned taxes." The changes were announced in last month's Budget, when Chancellor George Osborne told MPs the cost of housing benefit had risen from £14 billion 10 years ago to £21 billion currently - more than was spent on the police and on universities combined."

very true!

Vista = as for browsers, true they all do the same thing but chrome ( http://www.google.com/chrome ) for example uses a lot less resources (memory/processor power, making it extremely quick) than FF or IE which makes it ideal for low spec systems. FF is very customisable and thats why i use it. horses for courses tho.

this. FF4 beta has just been released. its very good. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html

That is one of the best illustrations of the sheer stupidity of religion I have ever read - teenagers (or anyone for that matter) not thinking about sex for 30 days is about as impossible a task as I can imagine. I can't see that happening to me until I get married FYP Good call Chez!

I would say thats a bit optimistic tbh Laz for a 35 yr old keeper who has never been a 1st choice in the prem. anyway, isnt he 36? EDIT: just checked on Wiki. You are, of course correct Laz. Harpers D.O.B. is 14.3.75 making him 35. I prostrate myself before you and beg forgiveness!

Forster certainly looked like a great keeper at Norwich last year, admittedly in a lower league. Every manager who he has played for says the same thing about him. ie. he's going to be a fantastic keeper. I've seen Krul play for the dutch u21's and also in the uefa cup for us. He's always looked comfortable. I've nothing against Harper but IF he does get sold then i wont lose any sleep about his replacements.
-
not at all but you are deliberately missing the point, probably cos you know you're wrong and cant admit it without appearing to be a complete knob. virtually every club in the land wouldnt mind either of these keepers on their books. they are 2 fantastic prospects that should be given a chance is all. Dont forget this would also play into Fat Mikes big plan ie. promote promising young players who could then be sold on at a profit.
-
Dont think Given had any top flight experience before he signed for us either. Didnt stop him becoming top drawer!
-
Going overboard considering you've seen next to nothing of these players. Dont think so sniffer............... Forster had an awesome season at Norwich last year. Norwich's players player of the year 2010 and second in the supporters player of year award. admittedly seen less of Krul but everytime ive seen him he's always impressed. Dont forget that Given was given (sic) the 1st team shirt aged 21. a year younger than Krul and Forster are now. It's about time they were given their chance.
-
if its true i would welcome it. its about time Krul or Forster (both great keepers imo) had a chance.

Going out on a high, always a smart move Sad news indeed!

That's what my girlfriend said the day Newcastle went down. is she still your girlfriend? if so, I have to say I admire your restraint!
-
I agree!
-
so has he actually signed for us? or is this still 'up in the air' so to speak. I cant find any official statements about this
-
Are you still talking about Fallujah? no. crossed lines there methinks
-
That'll teach the bitch to say 'it's just a game!'
-
I agree. They were still dirty bastards tho! Some of the challenges were absolutely shocking (V.Bommel/D.Jong). fwiw, i reckon Webb had a poor game.
