  1. I don't know why they do that now anyway. It seems so old-fashioned in this multi-media age to suggest that anyone wouldn't know the score by the time MOTD comes on. I watched MOTD once about 12 years ago without knowing the scores. It was blood difficult to force myself not to.
  2. I agree with that. Prison should be tough and a place where they never want to go back...not a holiday camp.
  3. Them. This is how horrors/thrillers should be made. Suspense all the way instead of blood & gore.
  4. Playing it cool. Was probably dumped by her last boyfriend for being to clingy.
  5. Oh yeah, Porn on the 4th of July OR The Sperminator
  6. Has anyone on here not had a disagreement with Stevie yet?
  7. You should post more on here mate. Always crack me up. Your shit story was legendary in my office.
  8. You never really saw any gun crime in Liverpool 10 years ago (a bit of drug dealer v drug dealer stuff, but it was specific to serious organised criminal gangs, nothing like these recent incidents). Something has gone seriously wrong with the country in the last 10 years, and broadly it's much like when they raise orphaned chimpanzees without adults to guide them. The end up with seriously messed up violent adult chimps, without adults to slap them down and teach them how to behave as they grew up. The UK has pretty much created a human lab where adolescents believe they are untouchable by the law (and largely they are) and adults are too scared to discipling them (as they law would crucify them) which just further adds to their feeling of untouchablility. Wishy washys alway go on about how fear isn't a good thing to rule by, but frankly a group of 15 year old should be afraid of the act and consequences vandalizing an adults car..... never mind of beating said adult to death, but they aren't. It's no wonder we have a record 390,000 a year leaving this country. Good post. I've just started the process of emigrating . Last week i was walking to the gym at 7am and saw 5 (guess about 17-19 year old) kids scrapping with Hammers and sticks in the high street! And i live in a pretty decent area.
  9. I'm absolutely skint...and my boiler has just packed up. Great timing! Friday: Stay in and watch "Them". It'd better be good whoever recommended this in other thread! Sat: Penultimate pre-season friendly match. Cash in my copper jar Sun: Bike ride. Watch the Toon. Paint some skirting boards. Mon: Gym. Might have a spring clean. No getting pissed for me. Might have a couple of beers watching the Boro match. Thats it
  10. To be fair. I would rather be shagging supermodels than playing footy with spotty little kids.
  11. Feel hard? (Thats the kids not you!)
  12. Just browsing the Spurs board. Some of them saying it was a good save and the defenders fault for not being in position..
  13. Im looking for a new pair as well. Have the copa mouldies but need a pair for soft ground.
  14. True, although I rated Elliott more highly as a youngster. Aye, Elliott I used to rate a lot, but he got that really bad injury at the start of his Bolton career and never looked anywhere near the same player. He had 2 bad knee injuries at the Toon IIRC before Bolton. I heard thats why Dogleash sold him. He had a blinder and scored a good goal against Leeds iirc in the match where he (re-) done his knee. He was never quick anyway but I think he lost a bit of pace with that. He still looked a good player though and I think I'm right in saying that Dalglish played him in every league game after he arrived often on the left of a midfield 3. He looked good there but he was sold and Pistone arrived I think got the double leg break on his Bolton debut (home debut mebbies). I seem to remember it was the Monday night after Princess Diana died, i.e. the day after our game against Liverpool was cancelled. The fucking bitch. Can remember coming downstairs and my mother telling me the game had been cancelled cos Priincess Di had died. I was gutted.......that the game was off.
  15. I think Albert was a tad over rated as a defender. People just remember his rampaging runs (and that chip) but all in all...was an average defender imo. Defensively better than Howey and a better footballer too (especially pre-injury). They were both sweepers essentially, preferring to drop-off, I just felt Albert was better at reading the game (and in just about every other aspect) and he transformed Peacock as a player too. Peasy was on the verge of boo-boy-dom at one point. I can remember Wee John Spencer out jumping him then going on to score v Chelsea at home one year. Got his act together in the end though.

  17. True, although I rated Elliott more highly as a youngster. I thought Super Robbie would become an England international before his first bad injury. Lost 2 yards of pace after he did his knee in. Horrible luck.

  19. I rated him. Injuries nobbled him and Elliott to shells of their former selves in the latter days.
  20. Was that the one with the Allstars? Basile Boli played. I think I was in the gallowgate. Very young.
