Not for me. Carroll is the far superior player. His link up play is much better and you need that when leading the line on your own. I don't think putting in 1 good performance is worthy of him getting a place. I'd rather still see Ranger ahead of him in the pecking ord4r.

tiotes debut and Ben arfa's first full game.

Whats the betting he plays 24 good games. Refuses to play another so he can sign for one of the big 3. LIKELY. -
I rarely use Word products but the recent versions try to be too clever and 2nd guess what you want. Normally, its wrong.
-
He looks like the player he was before we signed him. Long may it continue.

Pretty certain that was Kenny Wharton's testimonial in 1989. The Fairs Cup winners had a match beforehand IIRC. Nar Boli played in Anderson's. Gazza was there for Wharton's. The corner started singing Gazza is a wanker and he gave wank gesticulations from his shorts. Thinking about he might have just been named up never made it. I was very young. I do remember the "sign him on" chants to Waddle though. Taking me back now, i went to both Anderson's and Wharton's, i wouldn't be surprised if i still have the programme from 1 or both knocking about somewhere! Have a look mate. See if Boli was listed.

Players you thought were shit and others thought were great

I thought Bracewell was class. Perhaps a bit over the hill when he was here but i liked him. -
So whats the excuse when you pay an ugly girl for it like those 2 did? I was speaking generally. I've heard on the rumour mill that Rio Ferdinand has an open relationship.
-
I thought Anth Lormor would turn out to be good. I remember him hammering in one off the post (maybe v West Ham) in the 1st minute of one game.

I like Haye. He is comedy. He is also a very good boxer. We dont seem to like confident winners in the country. We seem to prefer try-hard failures.

Well, I thought Peter Crouch wouldn't do anything like this - until last week. It must be pretty hard to turn down though, when you have stunning birds chucking themselves at you at every minute of the day.

Did anyone go to the testimonial (I forget which players it was. Milburn?) when Basile Boli and The Waddler played. I barely remember it but I was in the Gallowgate.
-
He's our most capped player of all time Given should over take him one day though.
-
105. im shocked. Officially an Eire legend now though.

I was at that match (soopafan alert). Hughes and Viana were at fault IIRC but Drogba is pure class and will destroy better players than them.
-
Viana had fantastic technique. He wasnt better than Dyer though.
-
Parker was doomed when he barked something back at the fans that one time. I thought he was a good player though. Average for me. He used to run 50 yards out of position to crunch someone for a round of applause. Often enough when he didnt make it he was out of position. Decent enough footballer though. I hate his face as well.
-
His body was made of glass as well and despite that (according to rumour anyway) he was always out on the piss. Hardly a model pro.
-
McShane is shocking. No idea how he played in the PL for so long. I like the look of Seamus Coleman.
-
I think Dyers movement and non-stop running opened up space for a lot of other players. Bellamy, Dyer and Robert's speed attacking in Robsons team was the main reason why we did so well. He couldn't shoot though and is crossing was poor but when fit I think he worried defenders. I was often worried about his power/strength playing in CM especially when we had 2 out and out wingers in Robert/Solano. This left Speed exposed as well.

Do you mean Aaron Hughes, if not, add him to your list. I'd add Acuna and Saha (although at the time he was still had a long way to go). Saha was terriblle when he played for us.

Film/moving picture show you most recently watched

Not the best., but will keep you entertained. Probably a DVD movie for me. -
Colo has looked good so far. I wonder if it just took him a year to settle in and now he is able to cope with this league. I hope so.
