Tough one for me as I rated Batty very highly. Tiote seems to be a bit stronger and quicker though so I'd plump for him. Difficult to call though when Tiote has only played 15ish games.

I thought Lee Sharpe was absolute quality before his bad injury. Never the same player. I never used to rate Merson that much but in hindsight he was probably quite good.

McClair is a good call. Especially in his latter days. I respected him for snotting rather than spitting though.

Platty never used to do anything in a game but score goals. A bit like Kevin Nolan & Fat Frank. Hateley at his peak was just a little bit before my time. I remember him at Rangers where he was a handful.
