Can you? I can't like. I can remember Wadsworth getting some stick over his 'talent'-spotting skills though. Anyway, I think this is good news but I'm not that excited by it as it's not really going to change that much at the club. I dont particularly have the desire to search for it but im sure there were a few negative posts. ALL the posts about Wandsworth were negative. I'm not surprised it's the biggest sex offenders prison in Europe.

Pardew hints at change in Transfer thoughts
Holden McGroin replied to peasepud's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think Pardew knew before he came aboard all about Ashley's operation skills and transfer policies. I see Pardew's talk about Shola & Best as a smokescreen to cover his arse if he doesn't bring another striker in. I think Pardew is an Ashley/Lambias cockney mafia yes man and won't rock Ashley's boat. He'll play the game with the cards he's dealt and hope Ashley comes up with some trumps. Shola isn't much better than he has been over the years, no fulfillment of promise. And Best, so he scored three times in one game, what else has he done to prove we don't need another striker? Pardew is talking shite, that's my opinion. Someone else on here said that hatrick would come back to haunt us. It should have been the perfect opportunity to sell him to QPR or some upcoming team in the Championship. -
I can remember him being slagged off quite a bit on this board at one time. Anyway, good appointment for me.

I think he is decent player. Not great though.

1990 play off ? Paul hardman [something like that] when he kicked Burridge in the head after saving the penalty - not sure ? Hardyman didn't play for us, LM. Did he get sent off for that? I didn't think he did.

Aye, I think the Spurs fans are aware of this tactic as well. He does all his transfers publicly. -

Absolutely, if he thinks he cant improve on Best and Shola then he wants sacked on the spot. -
Aye but he guarantees goals in this league. It must be pretty embarrassing for the unwashed though to leave for wanky average club like Villa who have a chance to go down.

Colos special thread ruined.

I think it was a bit more often than twice and Barton actually got a bit theatralic in his protests at some stage. But he had every right actually because if Webb actually had done anything against the persistent fouls of the Sunderland players the game would have been much more fluid. It's a shame that Sunderland in the end actually got a reward for the antics. The Bardsley tackle was terrible. If you swapped that around Barton would have walked for that.

He is slowly winning some of you lot around. Goals win games though.
-
He looked a tad chubby as well when he first signed.
-
I thought he was canny when we first went down to be fair. "Found his level" i seem to recall being the popular consensus in the early part of the season. The best I have seen him play was v Leicester (when Ranger made his debut and got MOM).

I always found Fop to be more annoying than boring. The use of smilies to try and win arguments must rank up there with a Leazes/Skidmark Shepard conversation. It's a mystery what happened to Fop. I just have vision of (old) Mr Muscle (with string vest et al) stropping off downstairs and declaring to his mother that he is never going back on this site ever again.

Common ground already. I sense bonding.

Probably lighting up with a fake gun-lighter as well.

I dont think Rabit could have picked a worse subject to discuss with Stevie. All he needs to say now is that he likes Scousers and they have a similar sense of humour to us and Stevie will go postal.
-
Rabits getting a roasting here. I think its some sort of board initiation. Stick in there pal!

I quite like the way Howard Webb deals and communicates with the players but some of his decisions have been a bit odd. Or maybe they are just highlighted more. Anyway, I'd much rather have him reffing a game that I am playing in as im sure he would explain his thoughts you - whether it be right or wrong. The ignorant refs are the fucking worst. Mike Dean being the prime example today when he sent off that weasel Rafael. Webb does seem to give Man U a lot of decisions though.

Anyway Krul is going to make mistakes. He is only young. The key to being a good keeper is positioning and reliability. He might well make it. Keepers dont peak until 30s.
-
My Norwich mate said he was immense for them last season and would play internationally. Quite feasible if he gets the nod for us next season. The lack of good English goalkeepers is scary. I see Carson got dropped for Myhill yesterday and Al Habsi has been preferred over Kirkland for months now. With Robinson and James retired and Green just generally being a terrible keeper it could well happen.

Guthrie looked a bit leaner today aswell.

Just going on wages you'd prefer Guthrie
