Newcastle United v Liverpool (6/12/15 16:00 ko Sky)

He went forward a lot more than Gilberto but I wouldn't class him as a box to box of the ilk of Gerrard and Lampard etc. They are just completely different players to be honest. The only similar attribute is power. -

Veira was a defensive midfielder who could control the game and protect the back 4 superbly. Sissokos natural instinct is to go forward, carrying the ball. -

Im not sure how anyone can rate Anita. He is definitely a weak link. He played well against Liverpool but he will never be physical or technical enough to be a good player in the PL. He just doesnt bring anything to the team. I doubt he'd get many games for a championship team. -

We dont have the wide players to get crosses in. Maybe Thauvin but he doesnt start. I'd stick with De Jong and Cisse at Spurs. They deserve another go. Hope Tiote is back so we can shift out Anita. -

Typical Newcastle. I looked at the Liverpool lineup before the game and just thought their team was shite. Milner, Lucas and Allen in Midfield? Awful. I still think we'd get tonked though so it was pleasant surprise . Colo got lucky a few times but seemed to lead a bit more. Dummet defended well and even Anita had a good game. Lets see if we can carry this on to next week. It shows the depth of our squad when we have to bring on Gouffran in CM when Colback was tiring. -
Steve McClaren sacked as Newcastle United 'Head Coach' (Manager)

It reminds be a bit of the Gullit era. Just getting bummed every week without any fight. There are a few players that arent good enough to be in the team but the way they just continually collapse after conceding a goal is evidence they have no fight or desire in them. -

Yep. I have sympathy for McClaren. I suspect he might be a better coach than a manager but if the players cant be arsed then it'll only go one way. Our only hope of survival is someone who can come in and actually motivate this rabble and get them to work for each other but i genuinely dont know if that is possible. Some of the body language and visible lack of effort is scary. -
I'd take Moyes, but only a short term contract. See if he can get this rabble motivated.

Relegation is nailed on for me unless something changes. -

We have been stuck in a rut for years now. Bar that little run under Pardew which kept us in the league last year we've been diabolical. We just collapse when we let a goal in. Zero team spirit. The players clearly don't care and the whole club is rotten from the top down. I genuinely don't know what the answer is. Ashley isnt leaving any time soon so we are stuck with this shower of shite. We could potentially bomb down the leagues if action isnt taken soon. -
Kevin Muscat did him.

The most of that comes under the umbrella of Jelliott playing superbly. We were absolutely smashed by a team of championship players and got extremely, extremely lucky. Granted we deserved the points v Sunderland and all 3 against Stoke but Christ...that was one of the most inept performances I've ever seen. Funny old game 'n all that.
