An honest and principled politician. Completely out of place.

Loyalty in football is a thing of the past. Even if it was in the first place. Unless you're a supporter of that club then you have no ties with it at all. Its just another job. Townsend was in no-way responsible for our relegation and wants to play at the highest level week in week out. Its a job at the end of the day and he wants to test himself. Purely natural.
-
Why would he want to stay here? He is from London and wants to play in the PL. He is absolutely no connection with the club other than a few months of playing for us. We should have put a buy-back in his contract if we get promoted though !

Fucking hell. "While it can’t be taken too seriously, it is at the very least reason for optimism."

The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread

I like him. He'll score loads in the Championship. -
I imagine a lot of the OUT voters feel like they were furnished with lies and misinterpretation so a second referendum should be called. This has happened in other countries. I'm not sure why we had all of this circus anyway . The pros and cons should just have been laid out by the Government (independently checked of course) and then the public could have had a more educated guess. This whole thing has split parties and in Labours case could well have completely broken it. It all seems to boil down to the Brexit politicians doing this for their own personal aspirations.
-
I think its a good strategy on behalf of Cameron to be honest. The next PM might decide not to activate it and hold another referendum. I live in hope anyway.
-
True but the thickos have been hoodwinked by the media and brexiter politicians using this for their own agendas.
-
Yep. He seems like a politician that actually cares about making life better for people rather then personal gain but he is not a leader. I think its been said several times on here but if they had appointed David rather than Ed then we'd probably have a Labour government now.
-
That happens to me at work all the time !

I like Corbyn and what he stands for but the general public, as well as a lot of the Labour party hate him. He has to go but Labour are in such a mess that it'll take them an age to challenge the Tories again. Labour had a great chance to capitalise on this this short storm but have shot themselves in the foot yet again. What a mess.

I wonder who will pull the trigger on article 50. And if it will actually happen? The Brexiters have admitted they've completely lied - which should be enough to force a second referendum. With "Dave" taking a back seat now I suspect this will rumble on for quite a while.
-
Of course the government shouldn't have even offered it in the first place.
-
He'll just be gloating. The fat bastard.

Thats spot on. There is not one good reason to leave the EU. The Brexiters have played on the Xenephobes by using a false immigration rhetoric. Plus that bullshit about the money going to the NHS. Farage said that was a "mistake" this morning. No. it was a bare faced lie.
