I'm back, and missed going out with Zathras, didn't get his PM until this morning. St Paul is canny dead like, not much going on there especially out in the suburbs where my hotel was. About a 15min bus ride into the centre and still not a lot going on there, 1 shop, a lot of sandwich shops and a few bars/restaurants. Managed to find a couple of good bars so I was alright. Went to Minneapolis one night though, was quite canny but the vegetarian I was with didn't much fancy the food that was on the menu for the most part, more steak than I could shake a stick at. Was a good night in the end though, got my meat handled by the campest waiter that side of the Atlantic. Glad we went into the big city though, would have been a disappointing to miss it. It was canny warm later on in the week but I think it's supposed to get fairly cold this week.

Is that the one overshadowed by Swan house? It's a minute from my work. It's a museum I think. That one is the Holy Jesus Hospital and is owned by the National Trust now.

Only there for a week like which is a bit of a shame. Temperatures seem canny enough, low twenties.

St Paul, Minnesota? Heading there tomorrow for a conference. F Scott Fitzgerald and The Great Gatsby references aren't useful

The bogs at Leeds festival are canny lifting like, but getting better.

It was on SSN that they painted the lines at Stade about a metre out and had to go round and change them with an hour to go

Can't even paint the lines in the right place on the pitch

I agree with that to be honest, didn't impress me live at all. 194083 Plus he was being a nob to the crowd 194092 That's true. I left before the end to go see The Fratellis. 194097 I waited for Muse who were unreal!! 194103 Not really my thing Muse like, but me mate loved them. Finished the night with Reel Big Fish in the toking tent

Both of those are class, saw both at Leeds. Would be tempted if I had any spare cash or some friends

I see Rooney rates him as the best finisher at Man U

Ugh, he's not even a Geordie. I'll have you know this place is the pinnacle of Freddie Shepherd's Geordie Nation, and you must be able to trace your routes back to George Stephenson and Grace Darling and be related to Jimmy Nail and Robson Green to be allowed to play here. Be Gone.

Please don't fellate his ego any more it's big enough and about to blow.

What do the Monkees remind you of? 193685 The Beatles? Edit: Btw is it just me or do Kasabian now sound a bit like Adam and the Ants? 193689 Get in!! Going to see them in December at the arena, but just as an aside to seeing The Fratellis

Eat all you can buffets are the ultimate in rankness, for greddy bastards or peasents. I reckon you have a 50/50 chance of getting rusty water (at least) after touching that reused salmonella shit! 193768 Big Luke's was 'liftin' too. Shit stodgy food for greedy bastards is right. 193769 It's a challenge though isn't it. I mean they couldn't make any money if it was actually nice food.

Talking of EU health and safety has anyone eaten in Charlies since it changed again?

Aye when I worked in Bliss we used to order in from there at the end of every night. Chicken kebabs and the pepperoni pizzas were class. Do they still do that gloopy pink sauce to dip your pizza in? 193729 Gloopy pink sauce?? Not that I know of, what was that supposed to be like? 193731 I've no idea. They keep huge vats of it about the place though and it's class on their chicken kebabs. We also discovered it was nice to dip pizzas in. I'm sure they just called it mayonnaise, but it's not. 193734 Tikka mayonnaise perhaps? Now you mention it on chicken kebabs it rings bells, but I can't recall seeing it for yonks.

I can't even begin to imagine what your bedroom smells like in the morning, probably like Ghandis belly button 193715 She's canny savage like, haven't had one in ages though. I think they hoyed whole cloves in between the two bases along with some tomato sauce and then ham and mushroom on the top.

City Takeaway - can't beat it. Or the one between the Bigg Market and Grey Street, behind the Beehive. Can't remember the name but they do a double decker pizza with more garlic than you can possibly imagine.

Shame about J-Pod like, was looking forward to it. Other than 'Hey Nostradamus!' it's the only novel of his I haven't read. 193665 It's basically the nerd-cool and visual gimmickry of Microserfs with none of the content or charm. Probably not a bad read if you're totally new to the guy, but otherwise I have to say it all feels very contractual obligation. Definitely get your hands on Hey Nostradamus though, I reckon you'd enjoy it. 193673 I hadn't read Microserfs, or any of his other books, but I quite enjoyed Jpod. Not brilliant but quite cool in a strange sort of way
