Gonna be one hell of a clear out in summer 2016

Caulkin reckons it'll be announced tomorrow that he's signed a permenant deal.
-
The team was playing with so much confidence and skill under Keegan. Such a shame the way it unfolded.
-
We did, and then he broke his leg.... Aye he's not an out and out winger though and I don't think he was bought as Jonas replacement specifically, we need to find the new Ryan Giggs. A quick Google of 'The New Ryan Giggs' suggests Adam Johnson (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1250567/Adam-Johnson-new-Ryan-Giggs-claims-Manchester-City-boss-Roberto-Mancini.html) Problem solved.

NEWCASTLE United’s second attempt to sign Robbie Keane this season is in doubt as Tottenham Hotspur would like to sell the striker rather than loan him to a Premier League rival. Keane turned down a move to St James’ Park just before deadline day in August but, as The Journal revealed last week, the Magpies are looking into the possibility of making a fresh bid for the Republic of Ireland international. The 30-year-old has been cast aside by Spurs boss Harry Redknapp and, having initially decided to fight for his place rather than move to Tyneside in the summer, Keane is desperate to leave in the upcoming window. United have some competition for his signature as West Ham, Birmingham City and his former club Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested, although it remains to be seen whether they are willing to offer the sort of money Tottenham are looking for to sell him. Newcastle are not keen on a permanent deal as the player’s wage demands are high and, at his age, there will be little sell-on value. A fee of around £3m would also put a massive dent in Alan Pardew’s limited mid-winter transfer budget. However, the United boss knows he needs to try and bolster his goal threat to ease the pressure on Andy Carroll’s young shoulders and Keane is a proven top-flight goalscorer and he is available, two things that rarely go hand-in-hand in the January window. United have refused to confirm or deny whether they are ready to make a second offer for the former Coventry City and Inter Milan star with a club source insisting yesterday it was just a “rumour” at this stage. But Pardew is definitely looking to sign another striker in January and, although Newcastle also made bids for Manchester City’s Craig Bellamy and Liverpool’s David Ngog, Keane would appear to be the only one of that trio who will be allowed to move clubs in the New Year. Although Peter Løvenkrands, Nile Ranger and Leon Best offer cover for a first-choice pairing of Shola Ameobi and Andy Carroll, none of that trio have proven themselves in the top flight.

Should, but dont. Can see us going along the lines of: Krul Simpson Taylor Colo Jose Routledge Barton Tiote Jonas Nolan Shola Why is it never the fucking shit players who get injured (Shola aside).
-
Can't be transferred twice in 12 months can you....? Means if we go down, he has to stay for the Championship party.

To limit them to two attempts on target (IIRC) was phenominal. -
Well maybe its just me but I dont like to hear our players talk like that. Neither do I, but it's a fact of life that unless you're a lifelong mag, if Real Madrid etc came knocking you'd be off in a shot (see Woodgate - even Bobby told him he should go).

If we take the Mackems game out of it, i'd say Villa. That Carew penalty could have defined our season, but we got a bit of luck with that and thoroughly pounded them for the following 80 mins. Goal of the year for me though was Ben Arfa, closely followed by Rangers goal at Chelsea (best team goal we've scored in years), Enriques (for the pure celebration) and Ryan Taylors at Accrington - what a hit! -
Don't see what's too wrong with that. Basically saying that he doesn't expect the likes of Real Madrid or Chelsea to come calling, and he's happy where he is, and wouldn't move to a team that he sees on a level pegging with us.

FYP http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/artic...g-X-Factor.html Guess Matt Cardle will be after a season ticket then... -
Would want big wages and don't see who he'd displace in the starting XI. No thanks.
-
Fuck off.
-
Think it shows how good these lads have been that the highest scoring midfielder in the league has got 1 vote so far.
-
Tiote. We saw at Bolton what happens when he's not in the team.
-
Decent signing to have on a free for a year. We'll need two new CB's in the summer though when he and Taylor both go. Not to mention the other positions that already need strengthening.
-
Nah its a man city supporting lad. The Wednesday fan was giving me jip the other day though, then proceeded to tell me how class they were after beating Bristol Rovers
-
A bit more detail....? Can't believe how little I actually know about what went on.....
-
May get a bit of jip for this, but it was 'before my time', but why did we only have attendences of 16,000 in 1990? http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufchistor...cerecords.shtml Wouldn't mind a bit of a Stevie rant here, as i've got a few mates having a go because of it!
-
I'd be 100% behind them if they went on strike.

Players you're glad we missed out on

Francis Jeffers Bowdewijn Zenden If we had got these two clowns we'd never have had Bellamy and Robert. -
Steep stands/Good atmosphere is about the only thing going for the Mestalla. It's falling apart, just a concrete bowl, and fuck all near it except a club shop the size of the eldon square toon one. Still better than Levante's shit hole though
