  1. Referees who quite clearly don't know the simple rules of football.
  2. Quality game tonight, 5-4 win. Double header next week, win both of those and we're right back in the promotion mix. Had to see out the last 5 minutes, which seemed more like 10, with effectively 3 men. 1 sent off and 1 injured. Quality effort from The Peskies
  3. Went quite well I thought, cheers. It was my hardest exam this semester, on Fluid flow and the Theory of Flight. Just got one left in this exam period now, so I can see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel

    Exams

Hate the buggers. Got a massive one in just over 3 hours At least come Thursday it'll be over till the summer and I can go back to being a lazy git again
  5. As is Carrick IMO. Starting the majority of games for Manchester United atm, can't see Fergie selling him.
  6. Shorey? No thanks. Would rather the club try to develop José Enrique.
  8. POLICE in Newcastle closed the city's main railway station in a bid to find a convicted murderer on the run from prison. Lee Nevins was believed to be on a train arriving into Newcastle Central station. Policed closed the station from 7pm as they carried out a search but did not find Nevins. Nevins, 24, who was serving a minimum 17-year sentence at the top security Frankland Prison in Durham, escaped from Sunderland Royal Hospital on Tuesday afternoon. While he was at the hospital, for treatment to an injury to his left hand, he asked to be taken to the toilet and managed to slip one set of handcuffs and past two guards. He jailed for beating to death 20-year-old disabled man, Lee Jobling, after drunkenly gate-crashing a party at his flat in Gateshead’s Leam Lane Estate in April 2006. A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said: “Police responded to information that escaped prisoner Lee Nevins was to arrive at Newcastle Central train station at 7pm.” She added: “The decision to close a train station is a significant one and can cause alarm to the public. “We would like to stress that the station was closed in connection with the search for Nevins and for nothing else.” Police are continuing to follow up a number of possible sightings of Nevins. Crimestoppers has offered a cash reward of 1,000 for information leading to his arrest.
  9. KEVIN KEEGAN has launched an audacious bid to bring Manchester City and England defender Micah Richards to Newcastle.. And the new United boss has also made an enquiry for Bayern Munich stopper Daniel van Buyten as he bids to bolster his back-line in January. Keegan last night admitted he has spoken to “a couple of agents about players” since starting his second spell as Newcastle boss in midweek. And the Sunday Sun can confirm those agents represent City sensation Richards and Belgian star Van Buyten. But Keegan faces a fight to bring either player to St James’s. Richards is happy to stay at City for the next two seasons in the belief that he can make enough progress to earn a move to Manchester United or Arsenal. But the versatile 19-year-old’s hopes of a bumper new pay deal may offer Keegan hope of luring him to Tyneside. Richards would like to boost his weekly wage from £15,000 to £70,000, but City are offering £45,000-a-week. Meanwhile, while Belgian centre-half Van Buyten is keen to fight for a first-team place in Germany, Keegan has not been totally discouraged from making a move for the 29-year-old. Van Buyten impressed under Keegan during a loan spell at City in 2004, and the player’s agent, Christophe Henrotay, told the Sunday Sun: “There is interest from Newcastle – an enquiry has been made. “At present, Daniel has a job to do with Bayern and he would like, even if he is not playing at the moment, to do his job there. “But I have said to Kevin (Keegan): ‘Anything can happen. The truth today is not the truth tomorrow.’ “Daniel wants to keep going with Bayern, but he wants to know about Kevin’s situation over there. “He is very glad that Kevin is getting information on him. He appreciated Kevin’s management at Manchester City.” Keegan is also keen on Chelsea left-back Wayne Bridge and winger Shaun Wright-Phillips, with Blackburn’s David Bentley and Dundee United’s Barry Robson other midfielders on his radar.
  10. Basically they've refused to unban me, despite me doing nowt wrong.
  11. How did you work that out? The clue's in the title. Cack excuse provided by NO? "If it wasn't for the N-O mods, this thread wouldn't exist."
  12. So effectively we'd be offering them about £10 mill for Berbatov.
  13. Um fook that for a laugh! Not another rip off man u player Except for the fact that Carrick is pure quality...
  14. Kevin Keegan wants Dimitar Berbatov By Brian Mcnally 20/01/2008 Kevin Keegan wants to fight Sir Alex Ferguson for Spurs hot - shot Dimitar Berbatov. The Geordies' football Messiah saw his first game back in charge at Newcastle end in a lowkey 0-0 draw against Bolton. But Keegan is plotting another transfer coup over the Manchester United manager Ferguson - and he has an ace up his sleeve. The £26million-rated Berbatov is a lifelong Toon fan. The 26-year-old Bulgarian striker is at the top of Keegan's wanted list. The widespread belief is that Berbatov will join Manchester United in the summer. But, just as he persuaded Alan Shearer to snub Old Trafford and join the Geordies in 1996, Keegan wants to snatch Berbatov out of Fergie's clutches. And Berbatov's mother Margarita revealed: "As a boy Dimitar used to sleep in his Newcastle shirt. It was that special to him. "He told me it was his dream to play for Newcastle one day and wear the same shirt as Alan Shearer, who is my son's hero." The other signings Keegan has nominated include Rangers rightback Alan Hutton. He recently turned down a £7million move to Spurs and is also on Ferguson's wanted list. Keegan would also like to bolster his team's rocky defence with the recruitment of Spurs defender Ledley King. The England centreback's injury problems may make that deal hard to clinch. Keegan has spent the 16 months based in Scotland at his Soccer Circus business and one of his immediate targets will be Dundee United's Barry Robson. Robson is 29 and could be available in this month's transfer window. He's a hard-winning midfielder who will provide Keegan with more options in his team's floundering engine room. Keegan has also mentioned Geordie boy Michael Carrick as a future transfer target to owner Mike Ashley. Manchester United will bve reluctant to sell the England star who slipped through Newcastle's clutches as a schoolboy when Keegan was in charge and made his name at West Ham.
  15. Berbatov and Carrick??? Yes please
  16. Quality free kick today to get Derby's goal today Seems like you never lose quality.
  17. Aye, he's been fucking shite, barring maybe 2 games.
  18. Hmmm would be a strange appointment I reckon. It's doubtful we'd need a ready made replacement for KK because Al will be, more than likely, on the coaching staff.
  19. SWP knacked his ankle today. Didn't look too good.
  20. Shearer just confirmed on MOTD he's having talks with Keegan at the end of the week.
