they're all signing a petition to stop having a stadium built on leazes park... https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/save-leazes-park-lol.1651803/ it.must be really confusing being a mackem, one minute you're a fully paid up member of amnesty international campaigning for human rights whilst simultaneously protecting the environment and resident wildlife. the next minute you're out rioting and looting filled with hate fuelled by the far right and anti-immigration at the same time as raping all the local seabirds and filling up the football stadium/streets/public houses with human excrement. the weird cunts.8 points

One of the best crosses he’s made. I have no left leg, and barely a right one tbf, but the only goal I remember scoring when I regularly played was with my left. Just swung at it, felt the wrongness and watched it bounce spasmodically, flummoxing the keeper completely. Buy the ticket, take the ride.6 points

I don't think this is his final form. In the post match interview he was asked if he had deliberately played a completely different and ineffective system against Liverpool in the league to mask his actual intentions in the final. He confirmed this and said that even though he wanted to win, he deliberately muddied the waters. This got me wondering if he deliberately played poor and conflicting tactics in the subsequent matches to really throw Slot off. It seems to have worked because the team absolutely played Liverpool off the park and they had absolutely no counter to anything the whole match. This tells me that not only is Eddie a master tactitian for individual matches alongside being a world class man manager and player developer, he is also a master campaign strategist. Leading up to the final with the performances I witnessed, I was feeling demoralised and thinking we were going to get creamed. I imagine that Liverpool thought they were going to stroll to victory. The mind games are real and this guy is a master at them. He's hard to read, stoic and a brilliant tactician. Emotion and agression however are important tactical tools and he weilds them through his number 1 Mad Dog Tindall. It's like the Picard, Riker dynamic where you have the stoic, smart, tactical leader with the brash, charismatic, enforcer first officer. Perfect yin and yang. I think that given support and funding, Howe can give Fergusson a run for his money in success. The guy is a football animal. He lives and breathes it. All he thinks about is the next match and he obsesses over every aspect. He watches losses on repeat to analyse where it went wrong, he refuses to take too much credit or kudos. He has shown that he can take pretty much any player no matter how mediocre and sculpt them like plasticine into a world beating top talent. Joelinton and Murphy being prime examples of his talent. He is amazing, along with his staff at finding transfer targets. Gordon, Isak, Livramento, Tonali.... There hasn't really been much in the way of junk signings. Compare that to other managers with a big budget. The majority of the time you see money spunked up against the wall on big names, rather than team players signed with good attitudes that can be moulded to fit the plan. I could keep waxing lyrical, but I think I've said enough. The guy is class and I definitely think this is just the beginning5 points

https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/nufc-women-v-sunderland-afc-women-tickets.1649491/ Not happy about us parading the cup https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/play-on-the-pitch-at-the-stadium-of-light.1651837/ I think we should get a team up as the chance of a team photo on the pitch would be priceless 🤣5 points

Finally found time to watch the whole match again. Still fucking brilliant. What a performance. Watching Howe on the sidelines being totally concentrated and focused on the match watching his game plan getting executed actually made me remembering the total disaster of Bruce and his jurassic approach to football and tactics. Also from watching the match I realised how much of a captain‘s performance we sawvfrom Trips. He not just played really well he took charge of organising players as well as talking to the ref. Last I want to add: Zonal marking? My. Arse. Slot is a lying buffoon. They obviously thought of Burn actually not being a great threat and therefore could get man marked by MacAlister. He was marking Burn whereever he was placed in the box, not just at the far end of the box but also directly in front of goal as well as in shorter positions. They really fucked this one up tactically.5 points

Thoroughly enjoyable. It's sort of settling in now that we've won something. If you'd told me after the takeover that it would only be 3 years til we won something, I probably wouldn't have believed you. Especially considering where we were when the takeover happened. What a fucking brilliant appointment Howe was. Genuinely feels like good things could start to happen for us now. We'll improve the squad in the summer, and we already know we can go to Wembley and, with the right game plan, take on anyone. And that's before we've made further investments to the squad.4 points

Nah, our entire IT system went to shit yesterday afternoon and has continued into this morning. I blame the yank IT blokes who decided to undertake a massive project unannounced upon arrival. Not entirely sure how or what they’ve done but it’s 100% their fault. Typical American attitude, hoy a few bombs, destroy everything, scream freedom and fuck off.4 points

It was a captain’s performance by Trippier. There was a one moment I was struck by when he and Bruno were talking to the ref. Bruno was getting a bit fiery and Trippier just put an arm out across his body to hold him back a bit and calm him down as he reasoned with the ref.4 points

And typically anytime you'd felt like this over the years the natural instinct is always 'oh but this is Nufc, an almighty screw up is probably right around the corner'. Not anymore. Cant wait to see what we do in the summer. Despite how incredible this season will have been regardless of where we finish in the league, I think the realization is there that some change is needed to keep moving forward. It will also have been 2 year then since we've signed a first team player. Time to make waves. Going by the media mind all we've got to look forward to is who we sell Isak to.3 points

I got me something for my collection of football shirts though. Might have a different drawer for shirts of teams I relegated. It will sit nicely with the huge amount of shirts of my very own local team Hessen Kassel…3 points

Trump is dismantling the protections the US constitution provides for all to loud cheers from his deranged supporters. They don’t care that he can now come for them too if they step out of line or become too disruptive to the looting of the US treasury no doubt underway behind the scenes. We’ve seen what utter cunts can be enabled to do in this country with its checks and balances still intact eg Mone, Bamford etc… they’re sticking their heads in the sand and pretending not to see…. The extent of the damage currently underway may well be exposed during the current presidential term but he’ll have fixed things nicely so he doesn’t suffer any real consequences…. we were supposed to be going to the World Cup next year. Might just stick to Canada & Mexico 😑3 points

Good luck finding anyone travelling from another country that hasn't said something negative about that fucking bellend. And to think that little goblin Vance was making his gob go about freedom of speech in the UK.3 points

I was also impressed at just how calm Bruno was during the game, which contributed to his immense performance. The tears at the end were the outpouring of emotion which he had kept properly bottled during the game, which is not always the case. Plays so much better when he does that.3 points

I think for me he's now a club hero, if not he's well on his way to it for sure. Absolutely love the bloke and what he has done, got us out of the shit when he came in and it's been pretty much amazing ever since. Cannot wait to see what he does over the seasons to come, especially if we are able to spend.2 points

People can talk about the Saudi owners, players like Isak and Bruno etc all they like, but the biggest factor by far in the clubs transformation on and off the pitch is Eddie Howe. No doubt.2 points

That fat cunt Gab Marcotti. I watched a bit of his podcast with his French mate yesterday. Marcotti declared himself early on as "not an Eddie Howe guy", OK you're a fucking idiot, and then the two of them went on to talk about Isak as if it was just completely absurd for anyone to think that he could now stay at Newcastle. Oh and also Newcastle are ridiculous if they think anyone should pay over 100m for him. Marcotti sweating in a big fleece cos he doesn't want to take it off and be seen in just a t shirt on camera, the fat prick.2 points

Aye Slot reminded me of McClaren when Boro kept spawning their way through rounds of the UEFA Cup (or whatever comp it was). He just kept hoying on anyone vaguely attacking and hoping for the best. Howe completely out managed Slot in the final, and Arteta in the two legs of the semi. Makes me really confident of what he could do with a squad that actually had some money spent on it, cos he's already a better coach than these others imo.2 points
